The fire roll continues with our guest today!
Kaitlin Bolt-Lovett is a Registered Dietitian whose practice embraces each unique individual and works to empower through reflection, education, and healing. She focuses FIRST on the relationship with food and body image, with a goal of creating confidence and harmony between them. She values the personal intricacies of each client’s experience and approaches the relationship with an inclusive, tailored perspective.
After battling through her own sport induced eating disorder for over 2 decades, Kaitlin wanted to build a private practice based on healing relationships with both food and body. Through her own experiences and continuing education, she found the social justice movement HAES(R), intuitive eating, and taking an inclusive approach to her work to be powerful and compelling. She emphasizes creating a safe space for clients to feel empowered to explore their relationship with themselves while providing an opportunity to turn inward instead of constantly looking to the external. This generates a self-awareness and trust that can break through the societal biases that often work against our ability to feel WHOLE.
She’s here with us today to share her story of healing and transformation, going from being in a place in her relationship with food, body, exercise, and herself that she describes as rigid, disconnected, and sad. To one she describes as integrative, gentle, and versatile.
Some themes that pop up in our conversation today are
• The impact that life transitions have on our relationship with food, body, and self,
• Perfectionism and being caught in the loop of NOT ENOUGH
• Being an introvert and not understanding or accepting this and the anxiety that causes
• The powerrrrr of self-compassion
• How yoga allows for connection with breath and body
• How working an extremely stressful and demanding job can exacerbate binge eating and ED tendencies
• Working with a therapist to built the skill of recognizing emotions, acknowledging them, and learning how to meet our own needs
• Healing does not mean brokenness
• How we never “arrive” at an ideal place in our health journey, it’s ever evolving
• How transforming these parts of ourselves opens up a new and freer way to experience life
And sooooo much more.

Oh my gosh y’all. The conversation and human I have to share with you today. Is so rich. So good. So insightful.
Katelyn Parsons is an Entrepreneur, Speaker, Certified Intuitive Eating + Body Image Coach, as well as the host of The Modern Girl Podcast.
After years of struggling with bulimia and disordered eating, she not only found recovery but recognized a crucial missing link in the wellness industry- empowerment + individual sustainability around health. This inspired her entrepreneurial journey and life mission to shift the conversation toward healing our relationship with food and body.
For the past 4 years, Katelyn has helped countless high-achieving women transform their relationship with food and body image through an integrative, evidence-based process so that they can move through each day feeling more present, empowered, and comfortable in their skin, without worrying about what to eat.
You’ll also find Katelyn strolling the beach in sunny San Diego with her husband and their pup Winnie.
These days Katelyn describes her relationship with food+body+fitness as free, expressive, and grounding. The way she described it in the past is fucking train wreck. Today Katelyn shares with us how she struggled for years and years with binge eating which then escalated to purging and full out bullemia. How the roots of this began literally out of the womb when she experienced restriction due to a milk allergy, and how it further developed later into middle school because she was involved in sports and theater where her body was on display, and had the first thoughts of “ I have to achieve the perfect body.” How her disordered eating patterns would calm down and then flare up due to different transitions and emotions, how she finally said yes to getting support, and all the bumps and learnings in her journey from there. She shares how deeply perfectionism, people pleasing, anxiety, lack of emotional regulation and healthy communication were all woven into her struggles with food and body.

What a splendid, value-add conversation I have to bring you today!
Allison Mosso is a Soulful Health Coach, Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor, and Personal Trainer.
With a non-restrictive approach, she helps women who are perfectionists and people-pleasers break free from diet cycling, make peace with all foods, cultivate a healthy relationship with exercise, and re-align with their intuition and develop body respect.
She is a soulful sister - an active listener to your needs, a foundation of support for you to break through your own limitations and your guiding light to feel at home in your body.
Mm. You’ll definitely feel that soulfulness shine thorugh this convo.
Allison shares her story today about being super into nutrition and fitness in high school, how it started innocently, but realized later it was very much rooted in the desire to control things in her life.
Getting into college her interest began to lead toward obsession. She had noticed her whole life that her body was typically bigger than her friends, and as she started working in the fitness industry that comparson and inner negativity really took hold. After a traumatic incident where a role model of hers basically told her to be successful she needed to lose weight, she became ultra consumed and fixated on shrinking her body, while struggling with chornic emotional eating binge eating, and overeating. Everything changed when she found intuitive eating, and I’ll let her fill you in on what the actual journey was like.
My favorite thing about this conversation is how much Allison talks about the intrapersonal ways she grew through intuitive eating and how much her life experience expanded. I think you’ll have a renewed appreciation for play and lightheartedness after this one

Are y'all as obsessed with season 2 of the pod as I am? Bethany K is here with us today and she brings the heat.
Bethany Konaszczuk is an anti-diet dietitian located in Minnesota. She works virtually with women to help them reclaim their life using Intuitive Eating, break down food rules, and finally make peace with their body. Bethany is also a certified therapeutic horseback riding instructor, where she helps people with different disabilities find freedom in their body while on top of a horse.
Bethany has a powerful story and a light bubbly energy with this refreshingly uplifting giggle that I hope you appreciate as much as I did.
She shares about growing up in a household full of chronic dieters and the ways she saw that define her beliefs about her own body, starting restrictive behaviors in high school and how it spiraled to being in the gym 7 days a week in college and an obsession with macro counting. How her sucky relationship with her body, and endlessly trying to shrink it ruled her life and robbed her of experiences in college, and the moment she discovered intuitive eating and how it shifted her path. And how easy, chill, content, and happy her relationship with food, body, and fitness feels now. We also have a really enlightening exchange at the end about neutralizing the word fat that I think is really important.

Okay the fire ball trail of guests continues with today’s guest, Victoria Yates.
Victoria is a Health Coach and Certified Intuitive Eating Counselor who helps women ditch calorie counting and learn to trust their bodies through intuitive eating. Her background is as a Registered Nurse and she uses her love of science and teaching to empower women in knowledge about their bodies. She believes that when we understand how our bodies work and are unhindered by diet culture we not only are able to give our bodies what they need physically, but also mentally and spiritually. She also helps women get their periods back and balance out their hormones after a history of restrictive eating. Her own story of struggling with orthorexia and obsessive eating as well as hypothalamic amenorrhea are what inspires her to do what she does today... passionately help women live in freedom from food so they can be who they are meant to be.
Mm. Victoria has such a sweet, gentle energy but then drops all these powerful ass insights. It’s a cool combo.
Today she shares how she initially began to turn to food and exercise as a way to feel a sense of control when her mom becoming seriously ill left her life feeling very out of control. She talks about how it started out innocent and continued to spiral until she was in a place where she was so focused on eating “perfectly healthy” that her food intake dropped, and how sitting still freaked her because she wasn’t burning calories- thus she lost weight and her body shrank and got more toned. She shares how much this way of being was detracting from her life experience. She talks about each of the puzzle pieces, as she calls them, that gradually fell into place on her journey. How her relationship with food, body, and fitness feels so free, so fun, and so good.

Do you experience anxiety? This epi is especially for you. I have the wonderful Lauren Sharp to share with you today.
Lauren holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutrition & Dietetics from the University of Delaware and completed her dietetic internship at NewYork-Presbyterian hospital.
She loves food and is so passionate about how food is integrated into our lifestyles that she decided to make it her career! Through lots of personal experience and 6+ years of education Lauren has created The Empower Method to help her clients stop struggling and obsessing over food to finally feeling FREE.
I really love this conversation because it’s a different flavor than we’ve had on the show before because Lauren really opens up about her struggle with anxiety, with really intense anxiety, how it was correlated to her perceived need to feel like she was in control. Lauren does a great job of highlighting how clamping down didn’t make her feel safer or freer, but only exacerbated her anxiety. Lauren’s journey is also unique in that she didn’t have one big rock bottom wakeup call. It was a collection of micro-turning points where her mind and perspective opened and she was slowly able to find the place of amazing flexibility and freedom with food and fitness that she is today.
During our chat she shares about how her quest to cure her anxiety through wellness turned into an unhealthy obsession and fixation on being thin, how her identity was tied into being the “healthy girl” in college and how that praise and recognition validated her unhealthy behaviors and made it challenging to realize she wasn’t in a great place, and how the flexibility she’s found with food, fitness and her body has affected her entire life and made her into a “fun” person. And loads more juice.

Today I am just so bubbling with joy and anticipation to share this conversation with you. Our guest is the incredible, Simi Botic.
Simi is a certified holistic health coach, Intuitive Eating counselor, doula in training, and the author of Letting Go Of Leo: How I Broke Up With Perfection a memoir about overcoming her decades long struggle with feeling like she wasn't enough. She's also a barre instructor and the founder of UNMEASURED, a virtual monthly barre membership that celebrates your body through movement. Through her work, she helps women all over the world ditch perfection and heal their relationships with food and body image so they can begin to embrace their beautifully imperfect lives.
She’s is with us today to tell her story going from this place of constantly trying to fix herself. Feeling like a problem to be solved and the areas that that manifested most heavily, as you might imagine, was in her relationship with food, with her body, and fitness.
She was in law school and had an extensive list of food rules, tracked every morsel of food that went in her mouth, if she ate one bad food, it would send her into an intense binge episode. She was obsessively exercising 1 if not 2 times per day, pushing herself past body limits, and would feel panicked if she missed a workout. To where she is now. Flexibility, openness, and freedom. She doesn’t even call herself an intuitive eater, She just a normal eater. She has a gentle, fun relationship with movement. And she never dreamed this state was possible for her.
She shares the moment everything changed for her on her honeymoon, and what the journey to freedom actually looked like and what it took to change how she showed up for herself. This one is powerful y’all. Buckle up.

What a beautiful human to share with you today.
Paige Schmidt is a Certified Intuitive Eating & Financial Coach who helps women enjoy a healthier relationship with food & money.
Paige has an amazing relationship with food, her body, fitness, and herself. She describes it as calm, happy, and fun.
But, my good lassie, it wasn’t always like this. For YEARS she was caught up in dieting- counting and measuring everything that went into her mouth and thinking about it constantly. She received a ton of praise for her weight loss at a young age and it led her to associate her worth and value as a woman with her thinness (and a lot of fear around food and gaining weight)
When she found true connection through her church and experienced the fullness that her faith gave her, the consuming dieting thoughts and behaviors began to fall to the background.
I'll let her tell you all about the ups and downs of the journey in the epi. Paige shares mad wisdom in this one. Prepared to be uplifted and inspired!

She shares her story of her battle with binge eating, being misunderstood and dismissed by people she shared with, moving to LA to be an actress and being expected to keep her body looking like a 15 year olds, finding her path to intuitive eating, tinkering for a while then finally going ALL IN and finding a beautiful easy relationship with food, body, exercise and a deeper appreciation for life, to now the work she does supporting her clients through binge recovery as well. She shares a ton of juicy knowledge and wisdom throughout our chat. So good.

HEY FAM I've got another spicy guest here to support you
Kelsey Pukala is a non-diet Registered Dietician who helps women find freedom with food, exercise, their body, and health. She understands that “health” looks different for everyone and she helps women navigate and discover what it means to them. She believes satisfaction and freely enjoying food without guilt is soo important which is why she fully enjoys oatmeal, peanut butter, chocolate chips, and eating cereal out of over-sized coffee mugs.
Her goal is to help women learn how to trust their body, honor their health and embrace the grey between black and white thinking. She fully embraces intuitive eating and health at every size in her practice and hopes to empower women to make peace with food and their natural body size.
She’s here with us today to share her story going from controlling food and exercise in attempts to shrink her body, going through treatment that she now recognizes was very inadequate and inspired the work she does today, years spend in “pseudo-recovery” which we’ll expand more on, and where she is now. A place of joy and satisfaction with food, peace and flexibility with exercise, empowered view of her body. She also shares a tonnn of juicy wisdom and knowledge throughout our chat. Man this was so so good.
My fav quote from the episdoe: “You never arrive at some place with intuitive eating or with your body where it’s perfect and you never have to work on it or tweak it again. It’s a journey.”
