I am a veteran. Female. Religious minority. VA told me I have no base for my PTSD from my own attacks. I had to find my own therapist, and got told "I am sure it seemed traumatic, but you were in the military."

Jerin Poliskey I was making a separate statement concerning the podcast. I do wish to read a solution, but you haven't given one. It's great you're pondering solutions, but pondering and action are not the same. Nothing gets done by simply pondering. I'm not heckling and haven't heckled you. I've simply asked questions that you don't seem to care to discuss. If you didn't want to engage in conversation, then you shouldn't have spoken out in the first place. Posting was an open invitation for conversation.

Jason Huntley You are confusing me. I served under President Bush who I voted into power before shipping off to boot camp. Anyway, the problem is more the social aspects of our current society. I will not go further as you seem to not really wish to read a solution, but rather fight with someone on this. Please trust that my Pagan group and women VA group has pondered solutions. We hope the next generation is better at handling the cogendered military than our generation did. We also hope to have a diverse religious aspect to our country long into the future. One day we will be asked with compassion on our experiences so as to fix the problem. Not just to be heckled and tormented more.

John Reed Hey John, while I think a lot of people may agree with your sentiment, there are complex legal reasons news organizations cannot accuse people of lying and instead must say things like, "falsehoods." Otherwise, the organization is dancing dangerously with slander and libel laws. I'm not a lawyer, so take this with a grain of salt.

There were a lot of things that weren't mentioned in this that should have been. For instance, as of 2017 Americans were paying 3.4 trillion on healthcare ( https://www.healthaffairs.org/doi/10.1377/hlthaff.2016.1627 ), so saying that universal healthcare would cost trillions is not helpful and does not provide context. Second, these projections are based on current costs, which would most likely fall drastically if we had a single-payer system. Most importantly, it should have been mentioned that the USA is ranked #37 in the world, behind a whole bunch of countries with universal healthcare that costs less and provides better care.

Hello, thanks for the show. At around minute six, you question the boy in the black suit making an "okay" sign. That is a hand signal associated with the "Proud Boy" movement of "western chauvinists " as they call themselves.

Didn't Reagan do the same thing with the drinking age and highway funds that Trump is now doing with ICE coordination? What's good for the goose must be good for the gander.

This episode was the perfect broadcast for this week. I think we were all a little burnt out from the chaos of immigration in the U.S. and a mostly lighthearted conversation about dinosaurs was just what the doctor ordered!
