We haven't settled on a new name for this podcast yet, but we have a great show for you this week. First up, a very special 1UP Direct, as we discuss this morning's Nintendo news with Richard George from IGN's Nintendo channel. After that, Gamespy's Dan Stapleton sits down with me for a special interview with Jake Solomon, the lead designer of XCOM: Enemy Unknown.
This week, Games, Dammit! talks all about the Wii U. In our first segment, Wired's Chris Kohler joins 1UP's Jose Otero to talk about the launch and a feature Chris recently wrote called, "Ten Things I Hate About Wii U." Afterwards, Bob Mackey and Marty Sliva chime in with their impressions of the games currently available for the system.
This week, 1UP takes a break from talking about strictly video games to bring you a one-of-a-kind discussion about the biggest anime ever made in Japan. That's right, this episode is all about Evangelion, as the third rebuild of the series makes it ways to Japanese theaters. 1UP's Jose Otero, Jeremy Parish, and Bob Mackey are joined by Christian Nutt, features editor for Gamasutra.com, as they deep dive into a discussion about EVA, what it brought to video games, and ponder some of the most divisive topics in the series fiction.
