Ep 31 - Max Kellerman

Ep 31 - Max Kellerman

2016-03-14--:--

Max Kellerman. Host - ESPN's SortsNation & Color Man for HBO Boxing. I've gotten to know Max appearing on SportsNation. He's one of the most well-informed, sharpest guys in sports. Max has a really cool story how he got into sports - working at ESPN right after graduating Columbia. He talks about the state of boxing and how UFC has taken some of the spotlight from boxing. Max isn't shy about his opinions, he's a proponent of Sabermetrics. He believes that Roger Maris should still be considered the single-season home run record holder at 61 because of steroid accusations towards players such as Barry Bonds, Mark McGwire and Sammy Sosa. A really cool look at sports from one of the biggest names in sports broadcasting.

Stephen Colbert on Paul Mecurio 2 Chairs and A Microphone
This is the most hair-raising and at the same time upbeat interview I have ever done. Former NHL great, Clint Malarchuk talks about the infamous, gruesome injury he suffered when his carotid artery was severed by a skate during a game and how he almost died. That's just the beginning. Clint then suffered OCD, severe depression, battled alcoholism and finally tried to kill himself by shooting himself in the head (wait 'till you hear where the bullet ended up). He survived the suicide attempt and lived to tell about his unbelievable journey. An amazing story.

Bryan Cranston. 4-Time Emmy Winner for his role as Walter White in "Breaking Bad." A brilliant actor, Bryan talks about, "Breaking Bad," his latest film "Trumbo," and the era of blacklisting in Hollywood, how his difficult childhood coming from a broken home led him to feel "lost," and how acting helped him find direction in his life and much more. Bryan also has very interesting insights into what is right and wrong with our current political system. A fascinating conversation that gives you a real window into Bryan, not just as an actor, in ways never heard before.Go to PaulMecurio.com for subscription details
