Ohio State finished with the No. 26 total offense in college football in 2025. Not bad by any means. But with eight starters returning, including quarterback Julian Sayin, wide receiver Jeremiah Smith, running back Bo Jackson and a veteran offensive line, how much will the Buckeyes improve on that side of the ball? Can they be a top-10 offense nationally? Perhaps top-five? Also, if Ohio State's men's basketball team misses the NCAA Tournament again, is it time for a new head coach to lead the program? The Buckeyes have what appears to be a must-win game at home against USC this evening. Dave Biddle and Steve Helwagen opine on those topics and more on the Wednesday 5ish. We've often referred to the current state of college football as 'professional.' It's no longer a consideration ... it's a fact. Ohio State general manager Mark Pantoni recently joined former NBA scribe Adrian Wojnarowski's podcast and the result was truly enlightening. We dive deep on the details, discuss Ohio State's continued interest in ELITE prospect Jalen Brewster and introduce you to Class of 2027 safety commitment Eli Johnson. Ohio State had the No. 1 defense in the country in 2025, but the Buckeyes are losing eight starters off of that unit, including four players who are projected as first-round picks. We have no doubt OSU will still be very good defensively in 2026, but can the Buckeyes maintain their pace from last year? Or should we expect a small step backward? Dave Biddle and Dan Rubin delve into that and more on the Monday 5ish. Ryan Day seems pleased about Ohio State's offensive line heading into the 2026 season, despite the way the previous year ended for the Buckeyes. Do we agree? Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle discuss that on today's show, delve into the Super Bowl from an OSU fan's perspective (Vrabel, Trey, JSN, Thayer) and more. That is coming your way on the Friday 5ish as snow is once again pelting the state of Ohio. Ohio State had the No. 2 '26 talent haul when combining draft class and transfer portal additions. Not bad. But we are talking '27 now. We are forward thinkers. Garrick Hodge is here to predict which elite prospects will actually land in Columbus. Mark Porter is here to opine on that and share exclusive film of recently offered linebacker Brayton Feister from Akron Hoban. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters! For the first time since 2022, Ohio State is returning its starter at quarterback. And it happens to be the youngest Heisman finalist in many years. Julian Sayin will be a third-year sophomore in 2026 and Ryan Day spoke glowingly about him recently and what he will be working on the most this offseason. What can we expect in Year 2 of Sayin leading the Buckeyes' offense? Dave Biddle flies solo on the Wednesday 5ish to discuss that, the other QBs on Ohio State's roster and more. Ohio State has commitments from five of the six Ohio offensive linemen considered the state's best by experts we cherish. The sixth - Bishop Waterson's Davis Seaman - has an Ohio State offer. He also shined at the recent Navy All American Bowl in Texas last month and his recruitment has picked up. Will Seaman sail across town to Ohio State? Our Garrick Hodge was in Texas for the Navy event and is here again with us today. He's got the latest. Mark Porter is also here. He's got the Seaman video. It's worth a look. We also discuss Ohio State's No. 4-ranked recruiting class as 247Sports have released it's final Class of 2026 rankings. Spend 5ish with us this a.m., 'Nutters! As we transition in offseason mode, Ohio State is hard at work.  We focus on the Buckeyes adding an Ivy League Ohioan from the transfer portal, where coaches are on the road, our future at nose tackle and a lot more. It's a potpourri of knowledge featuring our Garrick Hodge and Mark Porter. Schedule chatter? Offers going out? This is where you need to be to get all Bucknutted up. Ohio State's full schedule was released on Tuesday, complete with specific dates for each game. We already knew the teams the Buckeyes would play in 2026, so we were fully aware this was going to be a daunting slate. How daunting? Three teams that will begin the season likely ranked within the top-5 (at Indiana, at Texas, Oregon), two more that will be ranked within the top-15 (at USC, Michigan) and two more that will be ranked in the top-25 (at Iowa, Illinois). Whew, that's a doozy. However, Buckeye fans should still be confident about their team's chances in the 2026 season, and Dave Biddle and Matt Baxendell explain why on today's show. We also get Steeler-fan-Bax's take on new OSU offensive coordinator Arthur Smith (we know Biddle likes the hire) and more. That is coming your way on the Wednesday 5ish. Recruiting in the new college football era has changed ... drastically. With NIL and the transfer portal entering mix, chaos has basically ensued. There are many that feel high school recruiting is going the way of the dinosaur. Is that so? Will Ohio State be a T-Rex on the recruiting trail? Garrick Hodge and Mark Porter are here to dive deep on how the Buckeyes will attack high school recruiting going forward. We also have a scouting report on DJ Jacobs - an elite Ohio State HIGH SCHOOL commitment.  Spend 5ish with us this a.m.,'Nutters! If you're in Ohio, or in many other places in our country, you are very likely snowed in. No worries. We've got you 'covered' on today's show with a deep dive on new Ohio State offensive coordinator Arthur Smith. Do we like the hire? Why or why not? Dave Biddle and Dan Rubin have that and more on the Monday 5ish. What grade would you give Ohio State regarding the 17 players they landed in the transfer portal this month? That is one of the questions Jonah Booker and Dave Biddle answer on today's show. Also discussed is the Buckeyes' vacancy at offensive coordinator, plus JBook and Dave take questions from the live audience. That is coming your way on the Friday 5ish. Dust is settling. As Monday's title game fades into memory and transfer portal activity dwindles, we have a much better sense of what's ahead. So today we dive deep on the 16 new Buckeyes added via the transfer portal. Who fits where and why? Garrick Hodge handles the rankings and Mark Porter produced the film to back it up. Now that the dust has settled -- for the most part -- regarding the transfer portal, how do we feel about the roster Ohio State will be bringing into the 2026 season? Dave Biddle and Matt Baxendell delve into that and much more on the Wednesday 5ish. And there you have it: Indiana is your College Football National Champion. That makes it three straight for the vaunted B1G conference. Now for the important question: How does it all affect Ohio State? Garrick Hodge and Mark Porter are here to dive deep on the Indiana-Miami tussle and all the implications, especially those that stretch to Columbus. But that's not all. We dislodge and tackle the needed topics. Is Julian Sayin the quarterback for the job?  Is Ohio State ready to make another natty run in '26? As if that was not enough, how about a video breakdown of Ohio State's incoming transfers on offense? It's technically the first day of the offseason don't ya know? On this MLK Day version of the 5ish, Dave Biddle and Dan Rubin project Ohio State's 2026 depth chart on both sides of the ball. Also, will an offensive coordinator be hired this week by the Buckeyes?
