What's up guys? The pod is back for another week with a very exciting episode for you all. Jake and Spenny are here first to chat with you guys a bit about the future of this podcast, which while unsettled, won't be separating the two of them any time soon - listen in both now and in the coming weeks for some more info on that. Beyond that, the boys have a great interview for you all today, a chat with the directors of the upcoming 30 for 30 documentary, "The Bullies of Baltimore." Premiering Sunday night (2/5) the ESPN/NFL Films collaboration dives deep into the 2000 Baltimore Ravens, and what made them such a special, historic, and ultimately inimitable team that will remain in the history books forever. To get you hyped for it, listen to Jake and Spenny (who have seen an advance copy of it) chop it up with Ken and Jason in what's one of the better interviews we've ever featured on the podcast. Roman out, Presser recap

Roman out, Presser recap

2023-01-2001:14:32

What's up guys? The boys are back in the studio for the second time this week with a pretty newsworthy episode to bring you. On Thursday, the Ravens hit us with a double whammy by announcing that Greg Roman would be leaving the organziation, and then following that up with a John Harbaugh/Eric DeCosta joint press conference to officially conclude the season. Jake and Spenny get into Roman's departure for a bit, before discussing the presser via your listener questions submitted to us on social. What's up everyone? The pod is back in a special playoff preview edition. Jake and Spenny are joined tonight by Mike Santagata (@Bengals_Sans), their favorite AFC North opposing correspondent to break things down. Mike knows his Bengals top to bottom and gives the guys some great insight on what he's seen from them this year, plus what he's expecting on Sunday night. He hangs around to give his prediction as the guys do as well. Whatever happens, we thank you guys for listening for another great season, and we'll talk to you again very, very soon. What's up everyone? The Ravens are back to their old tricks of trading for a player mid-season, having it work out great, and re-signing said player to along term contract to keep them in Baltimore. The player in question this time is Roquan Smith, who inked a five year, $100M contract to remain with the Ravens, topping out his guarantees at about $60M. Jake and Spenny are here to talk about the deal, what it means for the short and long term, it's reverberating effects, and a whole lot more. A galvanizing loss

A galvanizing loss

2023-01-0835:43

The Ravens went into Cincinnati and lost 27-16 in a game that felt about as galvanizing as one could hope a double digit loss would. Jake and Spenny are here to discuss a game that featured a gutty performance by Anthony Brown at quarterback, another valiant effort by this defense, yet another vintage James Proche mistake, and plenty more. Beyond that, the guys get into their feelings on the Bengals handling of the Damar Hamlin fallout (spoiler: they're not happy with them), how they're feeling about this upcoming playoff rubber match, and much, much more. Thanks as always for listening to what was another fun regular season to cover, and we'll see you guys on the flipside. Playoffs are here, baby. Get some. Run through the Jungle

Run through the Jungle

2023-01-0635:07

After one of the more bizarre weeks in the memory of just about any NFL fan, Jake and Spenny are back in the studio after letting things breathe a bit following the Damar Hamlin situation on Monday Night. With some stuff to catch up on, the guys offer up a few words on Hamlin, give their brief recap of the Ravens Sunday night loss to the Steelers, quickly look ahead to what figures to be a pretty pointless Sunday game in Cincinnati, and generally vent about the current frustrating state of fandom in Baltimore. They get a lot off their chest and come to some good conclusions, and hope you do too after listening. Thanks for doing so, and be sure to tune back in on Sunday for the guys recap of the Bengals game, sure to be complete with some early playoff thoughts. What's up everyone? The pod is back for this pre-Christmas edition, in which we preview Falcons @ Ravens for you. Joining Jake to do so is SB Nation alum and current Yahoo National NFL writer, Charles Mcdonald (@FourVerts). Charles is a long suffering Falcons fan with some ties to the Baltimore area, who #KnowsBall and has plenty of takes on what he's seen from Atlanta not just this season, but the past several years. We get into all of that, and more, plus plenty of analysis on tomorrow's game. We hope you guys enjoy, and we'll talk to you again very soon. What's up guys? Well, the Ravens just lost an absolute clunker of a game, that's what. With Tyler Huntley back behind center for the second week in a row, Baltimore very much looked the part of a team down to it's backup quarterback on the second week of an in-division road trip. The unfortunate thing is that even with how bad they looked, this was still a very winnable game for them. Here to breakdown all the frustrations of this game, plus the macro perspective on things are Jake and Spenny. Neither of the guys are pulling their hair out as some may be, but they aren't exactly impressed with what they saw either. Tune in to get their thoughts on this one, and where the Ravens stand in general. Thanks for listening, and we'll talk to you guys again very soon. What's up everyone? The Ravens travel to Cleveland this weekend to take on the Browns in a late season Saturday matchup. To preview this game, Jake and Spenny welcome in managing editor of Browns Wire Cory Kinnan (@realcorykinnan) who has plenty to say on life as a Browns fan, the last few seasons in Cleveland, and what to expect in this matchup. We hope you guys enjoy, and we'll talk to you again very soon. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit podcastchoices.com/adchoices
With the pressure of a playoff push weighing on their shoulders, the Ravens traveled to Pittsburgh to take on a Steelers team that didn't have much to lose on their end, and had the upper hand in this rivalry going back several years at this point. So how does Baltimore respond? By pulling out a classic 16-14 victory with a platoon of Tyler Huntley and Anthony Brown at quarterback, and a whole lot of sand on defense and in the running game. Jake and Spenny are here to break down what was a galvanizing win for a Baltimore team that absolutely needed some good vibes while Lamar Jackson is on the shelf, and the Bengals continue to put pressure on them to perform. They have plenty to say on all of it, and we hope you guys enjoy what was a very fun chat about that very fun game. We'll talk to you all again very soon. It takes two to tango

What's up everyone? The pod is back for you on this fine Friday to provide yet another preview pod in the midst of the home stretch for the Ravens. This week, the guys travel up to Pittsburgh to take on the Steelers in another installment of this this rivalry that's now lacking some notable juice. Despite that lack of excitement, the game still holds plenty of import for a Steelers team that has won four straight, and a Ravens squad that are looking to keep their playoff hopes afloat on the decks of the S.S. Huntley. With no Lamar Jackson in the lineup, are the Ravens doomed to drop yet another game to the Steelers and lose precious playoff positioning? Tune in to see what Jake and Spenny think. What's up everyone? The pod is back (apologies for it being a day late) to recap this weekend in fun that was being a Baltimore Ravens fan. On Sunday, the fellas got together with Bobby Trosset, Cole Jackson, and Kevin Oestreicher to co-host their first ever in-person event, a tailgate at Pickett Brewing Company ahead of the game. It was a smashing success, and we want to offer a sincere thanks to everyone who came out, or tuned in. After the event, the Ravens took on the Denver Broncos in a game that could be politely described as offensively uneventful. That is, until the final minute when Tyler Huntley led a game winning drive to snatch the game away from the Broncos in relief of the injured Lamar Jackson. The guys get into what the hell the game itself was, the macro discussions surrounding the team right now, what they expect moving forward, and much more. Thanks as always for listening, and we'll talk to you guys later in the week. What's up guys? The pod is back again, for yet another preview show, with this one being a very special version of it. Why? Because the Ravens are welcoming our guy Mr. Unlimited and his Denver Broncos into town for a tilt that could prove to be pivotal to where they wind up as playoff participants. At 7-4, Baltimore's margin for error is sliding just a bit, so getting a win at home over a team with nothing to play for will be imperative. Jake and Spenny get into just how they can manage to do this, and sprinkle in plenty of talk on everything they love about Russell Wilson, everything they're frustrated by concerning the Ravens at the moment, and plenty more. We hope you enjoy this pod, and we also hope to see some of you in the flesh this weekend! For the first time ever, the guys are hosting an official meetup, in partnership with Bobby Trosset, Kevin Oestreicher, and Cole Jackson, you can meetup with Jake and Spenny for some beers and pregame fun at Pickett Brewing company on Sunday before the game. Officially starting up at 10AM, the guys will have a livestream going on Bobby's channel, be available to shoot the breeze and talk some ball, and have some fun with all their great listeners for the first time. If that tickles your fancy, be sure to come out to Pickett Brewing Company at 1130 S. Paca Street in Baltimore, just a few blocks from M&T Bank Stadium. Be there or be square. BAL @ JAX Recap

What's up everyone? The guys are back in studio after a tough Ravens loss to break down this week's game. Baltimore traveled down to Jacksonville to take on the Jaguars in a strange contest that featured a weather delay, a scantily clad mascot, and plenty of heart stopping lead changes late in the action. In the end, the Jaguars bested the Ravens by a score of 38-27 facilitated by a late 2 point conversion from Trevor Lawrence to Zay Jones - it was followed up by a last ditch 67 yard field goal attempt by Justin Tucker which fell just shy. There's plenty to talk about here as the offense continues to situationally short circuit, the defense had a bad relapse of letting an offense own them late in the game, and two possession lead was ultimately blown. We hope you guys get some frustration out with us and are ready to move forward as the Ravens fall to 7-4.
