I feel like I watched a different show than you because I have no idea what your talking about in it feeling supernatural in anyway.
i looked at supposedly he does go blind in one eye, just not much hullabaloo is made of it. there is the line thst says "in the land of the blind the one eyed man is king"
if your feel something is pretentious it probably has more to do with your than with them
paul thomas anderson is striving toward abstraction i feel.
i think we also have to put into context we are in a generation who had been conditioned to have shorter attention spans
Re: the lobby scene. They are not people. That is the point of the movie. It the construct. For the bodies that are batteries. That’s why they can manipulate everything.
ABSOLUTELY appreciated this conversation! I'm beyond thrilled to know there are people to discuss such a great film and story so well🙌🙌🙌
thank you for helping me love this movie more. The film making techniques but have struggled to understand that reason I felt this was great beyond that. Apathy. Wow thank you! just moved up my list. I love movies who tell a story in a world that continues when then end (ie. blade runner 2049) new subscriber
Aliens gave my the movie making bug with trauma. Seeing that lady on the wall and the chest burster at a young age blew my mind and made want to know how that was done. The chest burster in Aliens was so much better than Alien. It looked alive. Also the loose face hugger scene is epic. Such a great movie.
really enjoyed this episode
Great Episode! Searching really did a fantastic job at transforming an idea that could have easily come off as gimmicky into a thrilling, original experience. I also loved how the format didn't distract from the actual story at all.
