Once again I sit down with Rio to contemplate life, what fears are holding me back, what stories are not serving me, how can I be more aligned with who I am?
After abandoning ship and being rescued at sea, Guinness World Record holder Tommy ‘Adventure Lord’ Robinson finds himself back in the hustle of everyday life. Once again his bags were packed after a message that came through “Maiwar has washed ashore”. His hand built boat that he paddle across the Pacific for the World Record has washed up on a remote, and I mean ‘REMOTE’, island off east Papua  New Guinea. In true Robin Crusoe ‘Tommy Robinson’ fashion, Tom goes on another Adventure of a life time ‘Finding Maiwar’.
Tom Robinson is a 25 year old adventurer and boatbuilder from Brisbane, Australia. In 2022, aged 23, Tom set off from Peru, in a boat he designed and built, on his most ambitious adventure yet - to become the youngest person ever to row the Pacific Ocean. For the next 14 months Tom experienced the highs and lows of extreme adventure, facing many challenges along the way. He spent a total of 265 days at sea in complete isolation, as well as many months living in harmony with the inhabitants of the remote islands he visited. The journey ended in a dramatic rescue off Vanuatu - Tom survived to tell the tale, break a world record, and share his story with you... Pro surfer and activist Dave ‘Rasta’ Rastovich shares the story of his involvement in the academy awarding winning Documentary “The Cove”. Rasta famously organised a group of surfers for a paddle out during the slaughtering of Dolphins at the notorious "killing cove" in Taiji Japan. A scene in the film that brings most people to tears. This episode is more than just a story its a deep insight into the way we live and our personal connection to the natural world. A MUST LISTEN!
Bryndis is part of the SAR (Search and Rescue) in Iceland. This is just a nice chat about life, finding yourself and the strength to turn into a Badass Mountain Woman.
Palmi is the most experienced Arctic/Polar expedition guide I know. In this episode Palmi tells the story of when he was hired to lead an expedition crossing Iceland from north to south in the middle of winter. Faced with the worst weather he has ever experienced, everything that could go wrong does go wrong.
Betty a 66 year young Icelandic farmer that lives by herself in one of the most remote parts of Iceland. In this episode Betty describes what her life is like and how she survives the long, harsh and dark winters where the snow and Ice lock her off from the rest of Iceland for months on end.
A very heavy, and emotional story of falling to the dark side of crime. This episode is proof that we all have the ability to change, to change ourselves and our lives for the better. Cam Lloyd opens up about his life of crime, the world he was living in, his time in prison and how he found the courage to change his path for the better.
A good laugh!, Mike Snell always has a hilarious story to tell. A light hearted and funny story about Mikes first overseas trip and how it all went wrong but all went right.
Freedom is what comes to mind we we think about riding a motorbike. But what if everything you owned was tide to the back of that motorbike? Then the world would be your oyster right? Meet Bert a guy doing just that.
Jesse didn't grow up like the rest of us. He grew up exploring the wonders of the world. At the tender Age of 12 his parents packed Jesse and his brother up, bought a couple of tandem bicycles and with a $40 a day budget they set off. What was suppose to be a few months riding down the Americas soon turned into years of exploring all corners of the world as a family.
Once again Spencer Frost and Guy Williment pull of another incredible adventure! I proudly present to you the story behind their new movie ‘The Corners of the Earth - Kamchatka’ where these boys risk everything to travel to one of Russias most remote and coldest parts to discover waves for themselves. What could go wrong? Well turns out EVERYTHING! A war breaks out, they get cut off from back home, their money gets frozen, the weather turns wild, the list just goes on. A roller coaster of adventure where everything gets put on the line and it pays off. A MUST LISTEN! and then A MUST WATCH - https://www.cornersoftheearth.com.au Podcast video episode available on Spotify
In 2019 Sarah became the first woman to lead an expedition down the Nile, the world’s longest river. The expedition began at the Nile’s source in Rwanda and followed the path of the White Nile to its end where it meets the Mediterranean Sea. The trip involved over 1,100km of rafting, 3,000km of kayaking and other forms of transport to make it down this mighty river. On the way she was attacked by a hippo, arrested and detained in Burundi, ran some lethal rapids and travelled through Sudan as the people attempted to overthrow the government. This drama was complimented by experiencing the diverse cultures of the countries she travelled through, seeing the incredible landscapes and being challenged physically and mentally. #diariesofthewildones #adventure #wildstory #storytelling #explore #inspiring #africa #travel #crazystory

Especially when it can all go wrong in a second! This wild story has it all, all that went wrong, and all that went right. All I know is if you’re going to listen you are in for a ride as this one goes all the way till the end. Patrick Stanton an every day top bloke, has the taste for adventure, and well, let's just say, he isn't scared to go for it.
