In Revelation 7, we receive a vision of hope! God gives His people a powerful promise: That Christian believers across all time are signed by the blood of Jesus, sealed by His Holy Spirit, and will be delivered safely to Heaven. What does that mean for you? Although we all go through painful trials on earth, Christians don’t need to fear the antichrist or the great tribulation to come. If you belong to Christ, no one can ever break His seal of salvation on your heart. The seal of the Holy Spirit is God’s guarantee of your future redemption!
Sometimes getting a second chance is easier than giving one. We all have people in our lives we think are beyond redemption. But, God is calling us to drop our prejudices. To drop our hate. And to love our enemies. Who in your life do you need to give a second chance to?
Jonah chapter 3 teaches us something important: We serve a God of second chances! Too often we think that God is waiting to punish us. That’s not true! He’s waiting to forgive you. His mercies are new every morning, and He delights in showing us grace.
Jonah chapter 2 reminds us that even in our darkest, most desperate moments, prayer is our lifeline to God’s presence and mercy. Be encouraged to turn to God with honesty and hope, trusting that no situation is beyond His power to redeem.
