Dr. McCraty is a psychophysiologist who studies the physiology of emotion. Focused on the mechanisms by which our emotions influence the cognitive process, behavior, health, and the global interconnectivity between people and the Earth's energetic systems, he is passionate about the heart's role in health, behavior, performance, and quality of life. The Connection Between The Heart and The Body There are four primary ways in which the heart connects to the body and communicates with the brain. The quality of these neuro signals affects your brain's function and your perceptions of the world. The magnetic fields of our Earth carry this information and can impact our ability to synchronize with each other and the world around us. Heart rate variability, intuition, and field line residences all play a part in these frequencies and can have a huge effect on your experiences in the world. Improving the Global Information Field For The Greater Good Throughout his research, Dr. McCraty has proven the slow wave of global synchronization that is taking place. We are all contributing to the global information field, and Dr. McCraty argues that by feeding this field with positivity and compassion that it is possible to become better in sync with ourselves, our peers, and the world as a whole. By taking self-responsibility for ourselves, we can increase inclusiveness, collaboration, and cooperation to build a healthier and happier global information field. Dr. McCarty is making the deniable undeniable and confirming what many of us intuitively know to be true. Are you ready to align your heart and brain and start feeding into the field positively? Every cell in our body feels that magnetic field, as do other people around us." (6:10) "What we are really showing is what all the great philosophers and religions all around the planet have been talking about for millennia, which is that the heart is that doorway, if you will, to that deeper part of ourselves." (16:03) "It is metaphorically like measuring the heart rhythms and brain waves of planet earth. As it turns out, it may not be a metaphor, but ill keep it at that for now." (23:24) "The only thing that could really explain this is that they were all synchronizing to something external that was everywhere in California, some environmental signal. It turned out to be the time during the magnetic field. Exactly the power of the rhythms that I was talking about earlier that overlap our hearts and brains " (33:27) "Were finding that people really are synchronizing globally, which really is amazing. We like to talk about 'on some level we are all connected', I hear that all the time. And what these studies are showing is that we really are, and this is the level are connected at." And then there are some people who do get a second chance, and they take it. And I want to help more people take their chances without even having to be on death's door." (5:30) "To eat real, whole, natural, sustainable food, is actually revolutionary. It actually takes being radical and transforming the norms. Because our convenience foods, our fast foods, our school foods, our hospital foods, are all serving what quite frankly is food-like substances." (11:10) "Wherever you stand and whatever your health history is it's going to have an impact on what's right for you. But broadly speaking, in the broad terms of things, we can see that eating a diet that is based around more plants and more whole foods is going to be beneficial for the vast majority of humanity." (22:02) "I think love is a great place to start. Because when we love, we have a reason to live. And when we have a reason to live, then suddenly we care for ourselves, and we care for our loved ones, and we care for life." (28:24) "Everybody deserves love, that's the bottom line. And with food is a wonderful place to express that, because everybody eats. And so I get the beautiful opportunity in my work to share about healthy eating with everybody."(32:37) "I want to see a world where food is taken seriously, where the food industry takes health seriously, and where science guides the choices that people are encouraged to make around food, not industry profits." Through personalized care, lab testing, lifestyle interventions, and group coaching, Dr. Christensen is delighted to help patients turn things around and create lasting health. How To Be True To Your Own Heart Dr. Christensen believes that when it comes to matters of the heart, every factor needs to be evaluated. Our love, relationships, burdens, and flow of our hearts can have a large impact on the health of our hearts, which is why Dr. Christensen believes that true health starts from the heart. By living from the heart you can get in tune with the symphony of your body and get back to your reason why that comes from the heart and guides your whole body. Why Starting From The Heart Can Create Lasting Change In addition to heart-centered treatment such as labs, diet, and exercise, Dr. Christensen harness the power of change that comes from the heart for meaningful and lasting health. By listening to your heart, following the natural laws of the heart, and changing the flow of your heart, you can transform from a heavy heart to a lighter one, and start living from the heart to make a major difference in your life and those around you. Are you ready to take responsibility for your health by looking inside and making a change of heart? (4:52) "A lot of times we forget about talking about love, relationships, our burdens that we are carrying, our burdens of judgment and blame, and our inability to forgive. All of those things weigh heavy on our hearts and are contributing to heart disease. And it is really part of the game, and a lot of us are not addressing those issues." (13:04) "When somebody goes through that experience of a change of heart, that's when I know they are going to be okay. Because then they are able to continue all of those things we have been working on because they are then committed." (19:12) "If I ask them what their brain is telling them, I get a totally different list than if I ask them what their heart is telling them. So if we can listen to our hearts and follow our hearts, it makes all the difference." (28:43) "Living is an active process and sometimes we experience it passively, but we really need to be actively living. And if we are living healthier, then we are creating health and we are creating meaning in our lives." Dr. Eben Alexander spent over 20 years as a renowned academic neurosurgeon, before waking up one morning with horrible back pain. Within 3.5 hours Dr. Alexander had slipped into a coma, that would take him away from this world for 7 days. When Dr. Alexander returned, his ability to regain his knowledge from this world, and the world he had experienced while unconscious, shocked medical professionals and the world alike. Proof Of Heaven with Dr. Eben Alexander The extraordinary world Dr. Alexander experienced within his coma has been the basis for his book, Proof of Heaven: A Neurosurgeon's Journey into the Afterlife by Dr. Eben Alexander, as well as brought key insights to the mind-body discussion and to our human understanding of the fundamental nature of reality. With his son's encouragement, Dr. Alexander wrote down his experience in over 20,000 words and dove into other experiences of near-death experiences. What he found was shocking similarities, unexplainable healing, and a passion for sharing information about near-death experiences and other spiritually transformative experiences, and what they teach us about consciousness and the nature of reality. Dismissing Myths Between Consciousness and Reality While traditional science chooses to focus on the materialistic aspect of consciousness, Dr. Alexander's life-changing experience has brought into clarity the 'Cloud of Possibility' and the many fundamental truths of consciousness. Dr. Alexander views near-death experiences as the tip of the consciousness sphere, and act as a way to remind the soul of something that they already know. By awakening yourself to participate in our shared duty to participate in our evolution of consciousness, you can become one with the divine and step into our true interconnectedness. The Infinite Healing Power of Unconditional Love Above all else, Dr. Alexander's experience showed him the power that unconditional love has to heal and overcome all else. Through the understanding that love is what binds us together, you too can have a spiritually transformative experience and begin to accept the truth of the Universe and your role in it. Nothing is stronger than love, and by dismissing the false thinking of separation and embracing the true healing that comes from self-exploration and looking from within, you can embrace the relationship of our hearts, love, and consciousness. Have you ever had a near-death or transformative experience or known someone who has gone through it? Share your insights with your experience or your belief in love as the ultimate healer with me in the comments on the episode page.   In This Episode Recognizing the disconnection between quantum physics and consciousness (4:40) Learn about the emerging scientific model of 'Filter Theory' and how it affects your consciousness (14:34) Recount the amazing and inexplicable events that lead to Dr. Alexander's Proof Of Heaven and complete recovery (18:40) How to become and embody the love that you are and be in touch with your heart resonance (30:55) The role of love and sound in the healing power of mind-body medicine (39:40)   Key Takeaways The three most important things that you can take away from Dr. Alexanders near-death experience are: Traditional science cannot begin to understand the deep connection between consciousness and the mind-body debate Love can truly conquer all when we are able to accept our role in the creation of an unconditionally supportive world Sound, reincarnation and the spiritual Universe play a massive role in our ability to heal and love one another   Quotes "I think it does resonate, I like to think that it reminds souls of something they know deep down. Because we have all been through this cycling of multiple spiritual realms and into these physical incarnations and this is really just about getting to a deeper wisdom that is closer to the truth about the nature of reality." (3:35) "I see near-death experiences as really kind of the tip of the sphere, to kind of force us into a much richer interpretation of consciousness and the brain-mind relationship. And this is very refreshing because it leads us away from this kind of simplistic and false materialism that is part of our modern science." (17:37) "In fact, the best topics that map out our ascendence along this pathway of growth is a compass that leads us to make choices out of love, compassion, acceptance, mercy, and forgiveness. And these are the most direct pathways, these point out the lessons that humanity is challenged to learn in this millennia of our current epoch." (24:24) "To put this love in perspective was really was more of becoming the love that I am and that we all are." (30:20) "Each and every one of us can serve as a point of light. We can all come to a higher truth about all of this, realize the power we have to manifest this perfect world, and we can bring it into being. This is not some wishful thinking, pie in the sky kind of idea, but actually something that is a practical part of the awakening that I see coming to this world now." Michael Mendizza is an author, documentary filmmaker, social change maker, and thought leader. His work focuses on the intellectual construct of culture, the importance of play, and the balance between possibility and appropriateness.  When you enter into a state of play, your ego is replaced with passion, commitment, and a willingness to try something more than once. Michael believes that real play is where real learning takes place and is here today to help you tap into the innate intelligence of your heart.  By focusing on play, you can identify your eases and diseases so that you can remove your identity from your culture and discover who you truly are. Instead of letting intellect, anxiety, or ego get in the way, Michael is here to inspire you to escape your false identity and embrace the power of play and heart bonding. Full of tips for mentoring your children, getting out of your ego-driven defense structure, and ways that you can start to embrace play on a daily basis, Michael is an expert full of knowledge and insight. What did you enjoy most about Michael's play-based perspective? Share with us in the comments on the episode page.    In This Episode The distinction between conditioning and real learning when it comes to parenting Learn about the connection between the thought process and our ability to play Why the love of a child is the greatest opportunity for personal transformation on the planet Discover the number one skill necessary to transcend your social ego  The importance of heart resonance and why it is missing in modern technology  Why telepathy is the greatest method of teaching or mentoring   Quotes "You take the innovation that the intellect is capable of, and you blend it with 'is this an appropriate innovation or action to take?'. And if we listen to the heart, we would change radically what we allow our intellect to do." (6:27) "Play is how nature designed us to live, learn, and grow. Play is the way that we do that, at any age and at any stage and in any activity. Play is what athletes call the zone, play is what the research community call flow." (19:38) "Culture is basically an intellectual construct, not a heart construct. So most adults are play deprived, most adults have not been allowed to play, don't know how to play, which means they have these big defensive egos to defend themselves against a world they didn't trust… all of those are cultural conditioning." (27:05) "The hero's journey does not say you have to have children. The hero's journey is to basically step out of the conditioning and the identity that you have, going outside of the culture, discovering who you really are. And then the final stage of the hero's journey is you come back in that transformed state and actually help the rest of the culture realize what a blind box I am in." (32:20) "You only want what's really wonderful for that child, and that means you have to learn and grow and change, otherwise you are going to condition them to be just as afraid and as stupid as you are, as we are!" Negative emotional habits can impact the way in which you see the world, experience relationships, and express yourself. While it may be something you or your partner is subconsciously adopting, it can have a serious impact on your ability to solve issues and cope with stress.  This is why I have asked Dr. Steven Stosny to share with us his research in the power of compassion and emotional habits. An author of several books including How To Improve Your Marriage Without Talking About It and Love Without Hurt, Dr. Stosny is an expert in using the most profound part of your brain so that you can understand your stress and work to develop compassion as the cornerstone of your emotional blueprint.  Compassion gives you the endorphins you need to stop feeding off of anger and start understanding the negative reactivity in your relationships. Instead of letting your 'toddler brain' win by using blame, denial, or avoidance, Dr. Stosny is here to provide you with ways that you can improve, appreciate, connect or protect in order to make whatever situation you are in better.  By getting in touch with your core values you can learn to fall in love with your adult brain and in turn, spread kindness to those struggling with resentment. If you or someone you love is struggling with anger, resentment, and stress, Dr. Stonsy's knowledge will be invaluable on your journey towards peace. If you are looking to prevent regret through compassion, this is the episode for you.  How are you working to be more compassionate to yourself and your loved ones? Share your story with us in the comments on the episode page.    In This Episode Why you default to your 'toddler brain' when you are stressed and what to do about it Understand gender difference in the way that we relate to each other in relationships How to use compassion to heal resentment, anger, and other negative emotions Discover the science behind why anger can be addictive and resentment can be contagious  First steps that you can take if you or someone you love has an anger problem    Quotes "If your emotional habits are bad, you are just seeing the world through a tunnel vision. Emotions are how we react to each other and how we know the world, so we better get them right!" (7:16) "We do need to be happy on our own, but together we can make something better than what we can do on our own, and that's harmony." (10:43) "Resentment becomes part of your defensive system, it becomes part of the way you negotiate your world. It's more than just a feeling, it is a way of looking at life when it gets entrenched as it goes on. It's worse than fear of change." (31:09) "When you are hurt or you are emotionally aroused, it is almost impossible to see other people's perspectives. So in a relationship when the people are hurting each other, it gets harder and harder to see each other's perspectives. And that's not just true for emotional pain. If you have a headache, it is hard for you to sympathize with someone's toothache, between your pain is seizing your whole conscious intention, that is what it is supposed to do… when you are hurt it is motivating you to do something about your hurt, so you can't see the other persons hurt." (35:41) "When your self-value is lowered, you have to do something that makes you feel more valued, more loveable. Not more powerful. Because it's not a power problem, its a value problem." (41:29) "Your only chance of getting the partner you most want to have is to be the partner you most want to be." (13:18) "I wish heart disease were wrinkles because we care and can see wrinkles, we cant see heart disease so we don't care about it as much. But there is probably a relationship between not just earlobe creases. The point is, if you want beautiful glowing skin, eat fruits and vegetables and legumes. At the same time, we know you are going to benefit your cardiovascular system." (20:11) "Plant-based, we all get it. 100% plant-based is where I am at, but if you are 90%+ then you are in the sweet spot of the best glowing skin, cardiovascular benefit, reduction, and risk for adult diabetes and such." (24:50) "There is confusion because I think we have to define who you are talking too. There is no one size fits all. And in a typical blog on the wellness sights don't really make that distinction, whereas I am always writing for the heart patient." (29:19) "You look at a population of 20 or 30 thousand people who say 'I don't have heart disease', and 20 years later you go visit them and say 'who had a heart attack? Who is alive, who died of heart disease?'. There are six things that predict developing heart disease in a relatively healthy population." Harry Massey is the co-founder of NES Health and is responsible for creating the world's first practical clinical system for reading an individuals 'body-field' and correcting it. Through cutting edge research and instrument development that is shaping the future of medicine, Harry is here today to share his knowledge on the energy field of the body, the concept of the Body-Field, and how you can make it work for your health.  Every organ, every cell, and every part of your body has its own energy and information, which it both broadcasts and can detect from others. Harry works to show how through the detection of the information and energy within your body, you can work to correct the necessary information in your body so that you can learn more about your body as a whole.  By turning simple experiments into a health analysis system, Harry is breaking the ceiling when it comes to mind-body interactions and correcting information and biochemistry to find optimal health for all. The Body-Field and biochemistry is a two-way street, and it is only by understanding their connection and looking at the role of each organ and every cell that you can begin detecting when corrections are needed for you.  Are you ready to learn how you can detect your Body-Field and correct it so that you can clear your energy pathways and start seeing real results on your health journey? Share what you found most interesting about Harry's work with us in the comments on the episode page.    In This Episode Ways that you can influence your body, body-field, and biochemistry into better health How to find the motivation to get out of pain and keep going on your health journey The role of reincarnation and ghosts when imprinting Body-Field information  Tips for making a commitment and breaking the glass ceiling to better health  Why you need to be open to new forms of healing even if it is not what you were taught   Quotes "What we are able to do today, is we are actually able to use the information of how the body is when it's working optimally and basically trigger a healing response directly in the body. Which gets pretty interesting because you can basically create an epigenetic change directly without the sort of indirect methods of the past." (7:32) "Absolutely every part of reality, or if you like our consciousness, is completely interactive with our reality, which is a very strange idea when we are looking at things from biochemistry or Newtonian point of view. But if you sort of take a step back into the physics, where we are looking at everything as patterns of information and energy, it starts to make more sense." (11:48) "I think that is one of the absolute keys to life, it is really to keep an open mind when you are presented with facts that don't fit your world view." (14:32) "Its a theory, because it is very hard to prove. You cant prove reincarnation or soul, and I can't necessarily prove out what I am saying with physics. But I think we are getting closer these days to physics being able to explain a lot of these ancient spiritual ideas." (25:39) "Just keep going, if you have got out of pain and you are sort of semi-well and your bouncing back, just don't give up, keep going. Because there is a state in health where everything really is pretty joyful and you can do all of the things that you really want to do in life." And I try to help folks that come in here start to honor the symptoms they are having in their body, and actually pay attention to them because they are guiding us." (13:55) "When we are disconnected, that is where we fall into destructive habits and we fill ourselves up with addictions because we don't have the proper connections that we really need to sustain us." (19:49) "If we can just find one or two things that resonate with that person, then we start allowing them to start exploring them a little bit deeper. And that is why the seasonal format works because we are coming back around to it next year." (27:59) "That is not disturbing, that's actually kind of natural. That we grow and develop and change, especially over time or seasonally." (35:19) "Love, I believe, is our ultimate medicine. In the tradition in which I sit… we always use Metta Bhavana which is loving-kindness at the end of our session. It is the balm that we have consistent access too, and it elevates us. And it heals us, love, completely." The reality is though that there are chemical and immunological and genetic things that do differ by blood type that has to do with how we deal with stress." (12:10) "The reality is that we are constantly molding ourselves and remolding ourselves and remaking and remodeling ourselves in response to the environment. And if we didn't, we wouldn't be here today." (15:57) "Food is a political issue in this particular time period. And to be able to simply anything beyond this idea that there is a one size fits all that is going to work for everybody, that is a very very dangerous thought." (27:28) "I decided that I would write software that would simply write everybody their own book. So in our clinic, we do an analysis and generate software, one of a kind diets, that essentially result in the patient having a book written for them right then and there." (38:52) "These variations, we shouldn't be running away from it. We should be accepting it, we should be exploring it, turning it sideways, upside down. Because it is all about learning, it is all about finding out more about ourselves. We should be celebrating the differences rather than trying to sweep them away into a one size fits all thing." (4:28) "Were seeing that many of these chronic degenerative diseases, like heart disease, like Alzheimer's disease, like Parkinson's disease, like type two diabetes, and obviously cancer, are related perhaps more to this accumulation of pesticides over our lifetime, as well as other toxins, just as much as with our dietary sins." (12:17) "Are there safe and effective natural ways to lower cholesterol and reach those targets? Absolutely." (16:00) "What's good for your heart is good for your brain. And so if you want to live longer, it's not just about reducing your risk of having a heart attack or stroke, you want to make sure that your brain is seeing the benefit too." (22:15) "[Drugs] are really good at suppressing the symptom, but not at really getting at the underlying cause, and that is bad medicine. Because if you don't get at that underlying cause, it's eventually going to manifest itself in a way that can be catastrophic. And that certainly the case in cardiovascular disease." But I feel that when you understand that that is the process, and you learn how to work with it, it actually gets quite exciting. And you get to a place where you have excavated enough of the difficult feelings that you start to see life as a growth journey rather than a destination you will get to that will forever keep you safe." Dr. Ben Reebs is an award-winning naturopathic doctor, founder of Portland Clinic of Natural Medicine, and author of the new book, The Serpent & The Butterfly: The Seven Laws of Healing. Dr. Reebs specializes in resolving chronic disease with natural medicine and is here today to discuss the ways you can incorporate the seven laws of healing into your journey. Dr. Reebs considers himself merely a colleague of the vital force and wants to help you work with the laws of vitality rather than against them. The triangle of chronic disease; toxicity, deficiency, and vital force, all respond not only to your energy and environment but also your thoughts and feelings. Dr. Reebs believes that the law of intention is directly impacted by the law of vitality, and it is only by believing in our own innate ability to heal that we can truly begin to walk down that road.  Science is only now just proving many traditional treatments that our ancestors have used for centuries. By marrying the concepts of art and science, Dr. Reebs uses homeopathy to combine different therapies and plants so that his patients can strengthen their ability to heal through the vital force. By honoring, loving, and listening to yourself, Dr. Reebs is proof that true healing is possible.  Are you ready to apply the seven laws of healing to your journey? And it is really this idea of the vital force… this innate healing capacity, this idea that the body is always working to heal itself. It is always working for us to restore normal structure and function. It is actually innate programming in the very cells of our biology." (5:46) "It really begins with the intention to get well. With being open to the possibility that we can get well, and if we don't believe that we can get well, it is a lot more challenging." (9:41) "They all kind of prove that the law of resonance really is a real thing. And so certain therapies resonate with certain patients, certain medicines resonate with certain diseases, and I think that the #1 medicine would be homeopathic medicine because it really illustrates the law of resonance. Because we can use homeopathic medicines that resonate with a certain disease pattern." (23:13) "Plants can be used like drugs, and they produce primary effects and secondary effects." By listening to the signs of nature and breathing in light and out love, Michael is a wealth of wisdom, patience with the Universe, and trust that everything will be okay.  Michael wants to encourage you to stop the mindset that you cannot change certain parts about yourself, and embrace your body and mind's ability to rewire. A big believer that everything happens for a reason, Michael is living proof of the power of resilience, motivation, and positivity. Michael believes that true enlightenment comes from when you are able to appreciate the downhill parts of life just as much as the uphill ones, and is here today to show you how to stop playing it safe and start learning in the uncomfortable.  Are you ready to discover the gift that is wrapped around your heart and use it to start living your best life possible?
