Well, we are going to see that we're talking about redemption, and redemption requires an offering, and normally that offering is one of blood. Now what we're talking about here is redeeming of the firstborn, and we're speaking about the firstborn of both a human being and also animals. We have seen how God is always faithful. He always does the right thing, and what is best for everyone is the will of God. Unfortunately, King Shaul doesn't understand this. He wants to be committed to his ways instead of the way of God. Well, our theme for tonight's study is one of rebelliousness, and we're going to see that there's a group of individuals, and they are a very significant group. Well, as I said, we are going to look at just one commandment in our Scripture. And I think it's so significant that in this chapter, chapter 15 of the book of Numbers, we see that the term number in Hebrew, or wilderness, in the case of the actual Hebrew word, midbar is the word for wilderness in the book of Numbers.
