This is a personal episode for me as I talk about two of my favorite movies. The first stars my two favorite actresses of all time and the second is my third favorite movie of all time. It's a more informal episode but I love it. Take a listen!
In this episode, David breaks down three of his favorite movies of the last five years: Noah Baumbach's Marriage Story, Damien Chazelle's La La Land, and Christopher Nolan's Dunkirk. I love all three of these movies to pieces and this is probably the most passionate I've been in an episode this season so far. Check it out!
In the third episode of the throwdown, David finally gets to talk about his favorite film: Inception! In particular, he puts it up against Denis Villeneuve's Blade Runner 2049, Rian Johnson's Looper, and Brad Pitt's Moneyball. It was a little biased but it's still a fun one. Check it out!
In the third episode of the Movie Throwdown, David compares three great movies: Aaron Sorkin's The Social Network, Richard Linklater's Boyhood, and Pixar's Up. It was a fun one so give it a listen and don't forget to give me suggestions for new episodes!
In the second-ever episode of movie throwdown, David compares two classics and a teen rom-com. Why the teen rom-com? Cause why not. It's Quinten Tarantino's Inglorious Bastards vs M Night Shyamalan's The Sixth Sense vs Netflix's best rom-com To All the Boys I've Loved Before. This was a weird one so give it a listen!
Welcome to our new podcast series: Movie Throwdown. In this series, David will be taking movies that have been received similarly over time and comparing them to see which one is the ultimate movie. This episode, he talks about four classics: Jaws, Coco, No Country for Old Men, and Reservoir Dogs. It's the most excited we've been about a series in a long time so check it out if you have time!
I’m this shortened episode, David talks about his frustrations with Todd Phillips and the Joker movie.

In this episode, David and Chase preview the fall movie season and react to this week in news!!
So, David, Rachel, and Rodrigo recorded a really good episode on all of the different controversies from last week as well as a summer recap. However, the computer deleted all of that so David just came in and answered questions for 30 minutes. We're trying our best to make sure this doesn't happen again, but for now enjoy a dehydrated David rambling about Olivia Cooke yet again.
We're back from a two week break and we're finally all together in one room. Join us this week as we delve into maybe the most news-heavy episode we've done to date. We talk about the Sony and Disney break up, all of the news to come out of D23, as well as everything else we missed over the last two weeks. Then, Rachel, Chase, and David do a special movie studio draft where they select franchises, directors, and actors that they would want in their own movie studio. It's a lot  but it was also a lot of fun. Check it out! People in this episode: David Isles Rachel Masingill Ethan Christopher Chase Mack Ji-Won Kim
