What's your Plan B when the modern model of parenting fails? In this energizing episode, the dads explore the lost vision of a working family economy—where children aren't sidelined but integrated into the daily life, ministry, and productivity of the household. From Russian orphanages to backyard wood splitting, they share stories of hospitality, teamwork, entrepreneurship, and meaningful work that strengthens the family bond and prepares kids for real life. Can we trade isolation for integration and rediscover the joy of doing life together as a family?
There are four elements that turned Charlie Kirk into a major target for the enemy. And there are some extraordinary factors that played into this shocking assassination, the investigation, and fallout. Will there be justice served, and how is America reacting?
If the internet has been dangerous and counterproductive to human life on planet earth, what about Artificial Intelligence? Is it dangerous? Is it deceptive? Is it potentially destructive? Could it destroy the world? After we are done with our list of cautions, is there anything worth salvaging here for human life on planet earth? What does the Bible say about artificial intelligence? At base, this is a worldview question. It is a Colossians 2:8 concern. We ask the question first — how does AI handle the normative, the existential, the situational, and the teleological? If poorly, how quickly might AI lead one astray!
Based on the evidence surfacing, it has become clear that Charlie Kirk is the first true Christian martyr on American soil. The world is listening. What will we tell our children about the life and death of Charlie Kirk? What was his message, his vision, his mission, and his example of boldness and faith? Daniel Craig, Stephen Craig, and Kevin Swanson share the big takeaways.
There are some sort-of divisive issues, and then there are hyper-divisive issues. Will our leadership find ways to unify the nation on the most incendiary issues — Kill-Pill by Mail and Transgenderism? But then, the anti-Christian agenda is erupting into violence as well. Post-Christian apostasy can get violent. We draw in the post-Christian roots of the Nazi inner circle, and note the danger of it.
Conflict in the church is inevitable—but how we respond reveals the depth of our maturity and love for Christ. In this episode, the Discipleship for Dads panel tackles real-life examples of church conflict, from failed courtships to playground drama, and offers gospel-centered wisdom for navigating turbulent waters. Why do so many believers jump ship at the first sign of trouble? And how can we become less easily offended, more humble, and truly committed to unity in the body of Christ? The panel uses vivid metaphors and practical examples to remind us: the goal is not to avoid the rapids—but to stay in the boat together and grow stronger on the other side.
Donald Trump has talked about bringing prayer back into the schools. Kevin, Bill and Adam discuss this story on today's program.
Forms and art are a reflection of several key aspects of society, including the amount of common grace at work in and inherited by a society, and of course the prevalent worldview in the minds of those creating the art. So what should a Christian think about classical music produced by composers like Wagner, Beethoven, Mozart, and Haydn? What does the Bible have to say about forms, and how do the principles of honor, chaos and order, and not eating things offered to idols tie into the discussion?
A few nations have shut down homeschooling entirely, and others are about to follow suit.  Parents do not have the choice. This year, at least one state wants to impose a DEI program on homeschoolers. Where did this compulsory attendance law come from, and what is the worldview that requires state control of the children? Before Jean-Jacques Rousseau there was Prussia and Christian Wolfe; and Wolfe lived up to his name. We analyze the Pelagian view of man that infected the lapsed Christians of Germany and America in the 18th and 19th Centuries.
The National Football League has added "male cheerleaders" to the mix — a recent phenomenon. How to Christians respond to the sexualization and homosexualization of the NFL? We pursue a discussion on the gender blender in dress, hairstyle, body movements, etc. It's not so much the feminization of the male, as it is the softening and emasculating of the modern male. What's the remedy?
In this edition of Discipleship for Dads, Kevin, Todd, Bill, and Danny discuss the responsibilities a father has in launching daughters and preparing them to leave and cleave.
The US is divided ideologically like never before, and the schism has metastasized into a high-profile assassination on a college campus, with the death of Charlie Kirk (which occurred as we recorded the program). We recognize the courage and faith of Charlie Kirk, who fought some of the same battles we have engaged through the years. This program focuses on the worldview war playing out at the college campus, the rising ideological division on the campuses and between states, the abdication of Christians, and the rise of Islam.
After running through a plethora of problems with social media as collected by the secularists, the rest of us wonder if its really worth it. The Bible has nothing to say about it. . . except for the thousands of principles governing human relationships found in the Book of Proverbs, the Gospels, and the Epistles. Actually, you'd be surprised how much the Bible says about Social Media. We end the discussion with a few simple questions to test the edifying value of uploads and downloads on this media form.
The college bubble has burst. About half of college borrowers are behind on their loans now, and the percentage of young people in college has already fallen off from 81% to 63% over just the last few years. The majority of job offerings have lifted the college degree. But what's a young person to do? How will the next generation compete with AI? Here, we break down where future jobs are to be found, and where the preparation needs to happen. Young people, get savvy now!
The new Axis has formed. But, what are the contrasts in values represented by both sides — China/Russia/North Korea and the US/Europe. Authoritarians take the first position. On the other side we find divisive woke, sexual perversion, feminism, individualist ethical autonomy, and birth implosions. Are these values worth fighting for? Europe has lost the will to carry on a civilization by the birth canal. What does this imply for the battlefield? These are critical geopolitical questions. Ultimately, the West is confronting a Deuteronomy 28:25 challenge right now. We take up Scotland as a prime example of the decline of the West on this edition of the program.
Prepare your fields, and then afterward, "build thine house." Young men are not launching much these days, but dads can make a huge difference here. Here is a thoughtful and critical conversation, with four dads in studio, on how to launch our sons into business, marriage, and the calling God has for them. How will your son attain a vision for life, direction, equipping, sobriety, maturity, and a readiness to embrace the responsibilities of life? How is he going to launch?
Cracker Barrel is just the latest company that just can't seem to keep its list of virtues up to date for its virtue signaling campaigns. But what is this virtue signaling and why are companies getting behind the transgender insanity with such enthusiasm? Why would they risk the health of their companies to keep a small fraction of the transgender community happy? We dig into Chat GPT's worldview of existentialism, and define insanity biblically.
The number of people on psychotropic drugs is high nowadays. The world around is in constant need of catharsis, via drugs, music, and entertainment. What is the role of music in a Christian's life? The Bible encourages Christians to admonish each other with psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs, but what about secular music? Is it okay for Christians to listen to this kind of music? Even when rejecting the lyrics, can a Christian be overcome by the milieu that surrounds pop and folk culture?
He was hated, maligned, and marginalized. His enemies kicked dirt over his grave. His own people turned on him.  He dared to discipline in a permissive society. He dared to defy the zeitgeist, and to take the battle to the devil's back yard. He fought back against abortion and sexual perversion when everybody knew it would be a losing battle. He spent his wad advocating a highly marginalized homeschool movement, opposing godless public schools, and fighting abortion. He pushed for Christian legal defense organizations in an anti-Christian age. Dr. James Dobson was the man for the day — a quarterback fighting for every inch he could get, when pushed back to his own 5 yard line. He fought for a country through Roe v. Wade, Lawrence v. Texas, and Obergefell. He fought to save a civilization. . . a losing battle. He lost the pro-life plank. He lost the pornography battle. He lost the war on sexual perversion. But the point is. . .he fought with courage the whole way.  Here is our tribute to Dr. James Dobson (1936-2025).
This pill can kill without the woman knowing it. This pill can be mailed across state lines. This pill has already killed 500 million kids. . . soon to be 1 billion by 2030. Is this wrongful death or just plain murder? Chief responsibility for this holocaust lies at the feet of 4 people — all atheists and agnostics who turned away from the faith of their fathers. Will governments rein in the devastation, or will God have to do it?
