We’re back folks! Is quarantine/lockdown weighing on you?? Have no fear, Get Wasted On South of Nowhere is here! Today we are discussing Pariah (2011), which features South of Nowhere Alum, Aasha Davis. The film follows protagonist Alike, as she becomes comfortable with herself and her sexuality. She navigates the waters of who SHE is, versus who her PARENTS want her to be. The film stars Adepero Oudeye, Pernell Walker, Kim Wayans, Charles Parnell and Aasha Davis. It is directed and written by Dees Rees. There are A LOT of similarities and call backs to South Of Nowhere in this movie too. We will be pointing out each one! This episode features music by Khia (My Neck, My Back)

We’ve made it to the end! It’s the series finale. Ashley is having a tough time with her writing collaboration with Madison. She still doesn’t know where Spencer is going to college, and that’s creating problems in their relationship. Carmen is wearing out her welcome in the Loft. Kyla and Aiden are getting close again and Glen and Chelsea are getting... somewhere? They throw a party at Ashley’s loft to celebrate Spencer’s graduation, and Spencer finally shows she video she’s been working on!! Let’s goooo!!!
Carmen is living her best life in this loft and doesn’t plan on leaving! Aiden and he’s playing around with his life. Spencer got into Worthington and we don’t know if she’s going to go or not. She doesn’t tell Ashley about it and Ashley’s writing songs for Madison! No Glen or Chelsea in this episode 😢
Omg this episodes so much happened!! Chelsea is trying to decide between Glen and Sean. Kyla has found a new direction of her life that does NOT involve the limelight. Ashley and Spencer run into an old foe at the pier. Spencer is trying to decide, which college to go to. Ashley is trying to decide if she wants to continue doing music. Two more episodes left after this!!!
Glen and Chelsea are dealing with the aftermath of their makeout session. Sean comes back into town and he and Glen are vying for Chelsea’s affection. And Ashley wants Kyla out of her house ASAP.
Ashley is Pissed! And there’s a new video of Kyla spewing lies about the Davies fam. Aiden gets some news that may affect this relationship with Sasha Miller. Glen gets his life together. Spencer goes to a brunch and has her alcohol tolerance tested.

Spashley is back!! And The whole gang is tryin tor figure out what they are going to do with their lives. We are on a week long hiatus during the Thanksgiving Holiday. No webisode! But still fun times talking about South Of Nowhere
It’s that time of year- Pride Week! Spencer wants to attend pride but wants her mom to go with her? Does she invite her simply in order to stir things up? Or does she really want her to go? Ashley and Kyla have a press conference for the launching of their Album/Music Career. Madison is heading off to tour with Justin Timberlake, and Aiden is just trying to make sure he is alright mentally and emotionally. This is Nettie’s favorite episode of the series! Let’s gooooo!
Kyla is becoming so full of herself. Aiden is trying to manage his PTSD but with not much success. And Spencer hangs out with an old guy friend, who doesn’t understand her sexuality.
Aiden and Madison reconnect. Ashley decides to take her music career seriously. Chelsea and Glen have an interesting day at the hospital! EEk!! Had Aiden been dead the whole time? Is Glen in an alternate reality? or is he just an irresponsible guy?
Spencer has Carmen over for a sketch and some board games... with the Carlins. Ashley is trying her hardest to force Spencer back in her life. Aiden's PTSD is getting worse. Why is creepy Jake Kessler even at Ego? Who is that weird guy staring at Madison while she's dancing at Ego? We discuss it in this week's episode along with The Webisode : How to Pick Up A Fish.
