We learned at New York ComicCon 2025 that Joshua Williamson will write a new Legion book.
But what Legion?
Mark Waid had previously said a new Legion book is coming, and fans will be happy no matter which version of the Legion is their favorite. When we saw the “Legion Lost” survivors in Superman 29, including a Threeboot Legionnaire, this got us talking.
Who might have survived? What if they came from a bunch of Legions past?
Adam Crouch, from The Legion Outpost podcast, and I thought, “What fun it might be to play editor and pick our own Legion!”
Michael from the Legion of Substitute Podcasters, Derek from Tomorrow’s Heroes Today and Dave from The Legion Outpost join us to represent a cross-section of fan opinions. This veritable Legion of Legion Podcasters join together for a special crossover recruitment episode. We recruit a version of all the Legionnaires who appeared in multiple versions and then a few each who are unique to their version. We share our choices and our opinions.

Polar Boy shows why he is the epitome of the Legion and retroboot Wildfire uses his brain while retroboot Dawnstar keeps him on the path.
The Subs take a look at the Legion’s origin as retold in Secret Files issue 1.
Johns and Perez throw it all into this issue. Three legions, super-villains galore, Kabooms galore and the Flash family. Brent, Derek and Michael try to keep it all straight but end up getting confused anyhow.
Brainy sees what things would have been like if he’d never been born, and Andromeda finds a cosmic anomaly. The Subs finish their coverage of Legion of Super Heroes 100.

Michael thankfully joins Derek and Brent to decipher the Perez double page spreads. Trophy rooms, lantern rings, lightning rods, magic spells and sacrifice – this issue has it all (almost)!
While Paul Rages Against various Machines, we dive back to episode 46. We’ll meet Glorith and figure out if Beast Boy (Not him, the OTHER one) has gone bad!
Derek and Brent dive into the first issue of Final Crisis: Legion of Three Worlds. Perez and John’s epic is revisited through a Threeboot lens. Along with Superboy Prime they explore the 31st century Superman Museum and all enjoy the Easter eggs left, right and centre.
