On Saturday, August 30, 2025 we hosted a remote and live experience on National Grief Awareness Day. We encourage you to explore your local park, neighborhood, or hop on a treadmill and walk for 30 minutes and listen to this guided walk. Thank you to those who joined us in person. Tag us on IG @natarsha_wright in your walk and purposeful pause photos. I'm excited to walk with local listeners and share with our community that they are not alone in their grief and neither are you! After the walk spend time with the below Purposeful Pause: 1. What are you grieving in this season? 2. How are you embracing joy? 3. What's one step you can take toward healing? What if healing isn't about "getting over it"… but about giving yourself space to feel it? In this special guided episode, I'm inviting you to walk with me—step by step—through a gentle grief awareness practice. Whether you're grieving a person, a relationship, your health, your identity, or simply navigating a season of change, this walk was created with you in mind. Together, we'll: Redefine what grief is—and isn't—so you can release the pressure of "getting it right." Notice how grief shows up not just in our emotions, but in our bodies. Hear my story of what happened when I ignored grief and why I finally had to face it. Pause for reflection with questions to help you name what you're grieving and what you're making room for. This isn't a sad shuffle around the park, your neighborhood, or your treadmill—this is a release. A step toward honoring loss, embracing joy, and creating room for healing. So grab your headphones, head outside, and take this walk with me. You are not alone in this journey. If today's walk resonates with you, share it with a friend, subscribe to the Purpose to Create™ podcast, and join the conversation with our community in our Purpose to Create™ Pod Broadcast Channel on Instagram.

We'll unpack: The different types of grief that often go unspoken, including identity loss, anticipatory grief, and disenfranchised grief. Why perimenopause, career shifts, and creative ruts can bring unexpected grief. How to navigate the tension of missing what was while making room for what's next. A powerful reclaiming moment inspired by Jill Scott's Golden that will have you holding onto your freedom—joy unfolding and all. Joy doesn't have to be earned. It doesn't need a perfect moment, permission, or performance. It just needs space. In this episode, I'm reflecting on a recent gathering with friends and how it reminded me to stop delaying joy for the "right" time. From dancing in my living room to crafting mini charcuterie boards, I'm sharing the small, soulful things that bring me joy—and how I'm no longer waiting to enjoy them. Whether you've been stuck in overthinking, burnout, or the habit of tying your joy to output, this episode is your reminder that you can create joy right now. Inside this conversation: My favorite everyday joys I'm reclaiming A mindset shift from doing to being A gentle reframe for when joy feels distant A joy assignment you can try this week A real-time reflection to help you notice what's good What simple joys are you putting off until later? What if joy didn't need a reason? In this episode, I'm sharing what happened when I stopped chasing trends, stopped tying my worth to my work, and finally gave myself permission to be—not just do. As a photographer, strategist, content creator, and podcaster, joy used to feel like a reward I had to earn. Now? I've redefined joy as something I no longer perform for—but something I create from. We're talking about what it means to reclaim your joy without guilt, pressure, or permission—and how choosing joy can reconnect you to your purpose, creativity, and freedom. Inside this episode, you'll learn: Why high-achieving creatives often feel disconnected from joy How chasing trends can quietly drain your purpose What it looks like to shift from productivity to presence Why joy is an act of resistance—and a path to creative freedom Where have you been waiting for permission to feel joy? What would it look like to give yourself joy—just because? Press play and let this episode be your reminder: You don't need to earn your joy. You just need to receive it.
Trying to find your way back to you? This is your reminder that joy begins when you return home to yourself. In this episode, I share real-time reflections from Bali—where I didn't record, perform, or push… I simply rested. What I found in that stillness was powerful: the version of me I'd been chasing was already here. I just needed to be still enough to meet her. This is the official launch of our Summer Soul Guide series—a gentle, joyful journey back to presence, alignment, and soul-led creativity. In this episode, you'll hear: Why I traded performance for presence What Bali taught me about rest, clarity, and coming home to myself How to honor where you are (instead of rushing where you're not) A powerful reflection to help you create your own joy Plus, I'm offering a light and soulful set of Create Your Joy journaling prompts to help you define joy on your own terms—one honest question at a time. Be sure to subscribe, leave a 5-star review, and share this with someone who needs to return home to themselves.
In this gentle yet grounded episode, we're closing out the bloom arc with a sacred reminder: You don't have to push to prove you're growing. Rest is holy. Softness is strength. What if your breakthrough is already happening—just beneath the surface? Blooming isn't always loud—it's often hidden, slow, and sacred. In this soul-centered episode, I'm pulling back the curtain on what it really means to bloom when the process doesn't look pretty—or public. You'll hear how God forms us in the dark, why blooming often starts underground, and how to stop shrinking into the version of yourself that's already expired. Inside this conversation: The messy, bold, and quiet parts of blooming What "The Rose That Grew from Concrete" teaches us about resilience Why rest, obedience, and unseen progress still count as growth A Purposeful Pause to help you release what no longer fits and stay rooted in what's real This episode is a gentle wake-up call: Whether you feel in full bloom or buried under pressure, this episode is your reminder: You're not too late. What would shift if you stopped asking for permission to be who you already are? In today's short and sweet reflection-driven episode, I'm sharing the one value that guides everything I do—freedom. The freedom to live fully, move boldly, and create without apology. It's a freedom my ancestors fought for, and one I choose to honor by living in alignment with it daily. Even when the odds are stacked. Even when it feels hard. Even when it would be easier to shrink. You'll hear: Why freedom isn't just a feeling—it's a practice What living in alignment really looks like How to honor your values, even when it's inconvenient A grounding reminder inspired by Beyoncé and our ancestors Whether you're in a season of reclaiming your voice or resetting your values, this episode will meet you right where you are. Tap play and reflect with me. Be sure to subscribe, leave a 5-star review, and share this with someone who needs the reminder to live free and bold.
Who would you be if you weren't worried about disappointing anybody? So many of us are walking around carrying the weight of what they think—without even realizing it. We shrink ourselves to stay safe. We confuse their expectations with our identity. And somewhere along the way, we lose sight of who we're really called to become. In this episode, I'm opening up about the subtle, heavy ways expectations shape us—and how learning to release them is key to stepping into your true purpose. We'll also talk about how grief can quietly add its own weight, and what it looks like to honor your emotions without judgment. Inside this episode: How unspoken expectations impact your self-trust and purpose Why people-pleasing delays your calling (and your peace) How to recognize when you've outgrown old versions of yourself Encouragement for navigating grief and the pressure to be "okay" If you've been feeling heavy, stretched thin, or unsure where you end and other people's expectations begin—this conversation is for you. You are allowed to put down what was never yours to carry. You are allowed to grow, even if others don't understand it. And you are free to become who God is truly calling you to be. Today, I'm inviting you into a deeply personal moment—one rooted in honoring grief, choosing joy, and giving yourself permission to feel it all. In this bonus episode, I'm sharing reflections from a tender day in my own journey, including a letter I wrote to my mom in her memory on the 4 year anniversary of her death.
