I AM | Easter 2020

2020-04-1323:52

Needless to say, Easter looks different this year. But the hope of the resurrection remains the same: Jesus defeated death to make a way for YOU to have a relationship with God. This special Easter message from Pastor Kevin Queen reminds us that in the midst of uncertain circumstances Jesus is the source of hope […]
Jesus calls Himself the bread of life. He is the one who satisfies, the only One who is enough for us. On Palm Sunday, Pastor Kevin unpacks the good news that Jesus is the bread of life.
In John 10 Jesus tells the disciples ““I am the good shepherd. The good shepherd lays down his life for the sheep.” If Jesus is the shepherd than as His followers, we’re the sheep. What does that mean for us? In week 4 of I AM Pastor Kevin Queen unpacks the implications of Jesus as […]

AWAKEN: Week 4

2020-02-1728:441

We’ve all been on the receiving end of powerful words, good or bad. They leave lasting impressions on our hearts because words are powerful. So how do we use that power in a way that benefits the people around us and allows the Holy Spirit to move through us? Our dear friend and member of […]
We all reach moments where avoiding the question is no longer an option. In Mark 12, Jesus tells a parable that forces one unavoidable decision into the open: What are we going to do about Him? In week 35 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor James Savage breaks down the parable of the tenants and exposes a tension we all live with – the desire to control our own lives. This message challenges us to steward the gifts God has given us for His glory. It also might make us rethink all we understand about ownership and control.  Tune in, take notes, and reflect on what it looks like to live with open hands and a surrendered heart. Rejecting Jesus does not change who He is. Jesus is Lord. The only question is whether He is OUR Lord. – – – – – – – – – For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark. When prayer fades, something else quietly takes its place. Over time, faith can drift, relationships can strain, and hearts can grow cluttered without us even noticing. In week 34 of our journey through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Kevin Queen walks through Mark 11:12–25 and shows how Jesus confronts spiritual entropy; both in the temple and in our own lives. This passage reveals how prayer is not a religious accessory but the way God restores intimacy, renews purpose, and realigns what has slowly drifted out of order. As Jesus teaches His disciples, un-forgiveness affects every relationship we hold – including our relationship with God. A prayerless life eventually shows up in how we live, love, and trust. But the good news is that entropy is not the end of the story. Through prayer, trust, and forgiveness, Jesus brings renewal. Tune in, take notes, and reflect as we learn how Jesus interrupts entropy and invites us back into connection with the Father. – – – – – – – – – – – –  For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark. Ever feel surrounded by noise, pressure and opinions? Jesus is closer than. we think! In Mark 10:46–52, w. meet Bartimaeus, a blind man who refuses to stay quiet when he realizes Jesusis passing by. While the crowd tries to shut him down, he keeps cryingout for mercy, and Jesus gives him His full attention. In this message from our Gospel of Mark series, we see how faith often looks like persistence, honesty and surrender. Bartimaeus throws aside what once felt like security, names what he truly wants, and then follows Jesus with his new life. This is not just a story about sight – it is a story about salvation, about worth, and about learning to slow down enough to recognize the presence of Jesus in the middle of our everyday lives. On the winter solstice (the shortest day and longest night of the year) Scripture reminds us that darkness is never the end of the story. In this message, we look at the third story in Luke 15, often called The Parable of the Prodigal Son, and discover that it’s really a story about two lost sons and a Father who never stops welcoming His children home. Whether we relate more to the younger son or the older son, this message invites us to see where grace and truth meet. As we reflect on the darkest day of the year, we’re reminded of a powerful truth: light is coming on the horizon. Jesus shows us that no one is too far gone, no heart is too proud to need repentance, and no darkness is beyond the reach of His light. Today can be our turning point. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – If this message encouraged you, let us know in the comments. We all know the frustration of losing something that truly matters; the anxiety, the searching, the relief when it’s finally found! But what happens when what’s missing isn’t a thing, but our attentiveness to Jesus? In this message from our Welcome Home series, Pastor Kevin looks at Luke 15:8–10 and reminds us of a powerful truth. Jesus relentlessly pursues what is lost (you and I) and He celebrates when it’s found. This passage reveals just how deeply we matter to Him; so much so that He gave His life to bring us back into relationship with God. As we reflect on Jesus’ pursuit of us, we’re invited to consider our own response. What does it look like to seek Him with intention, urgency, and trust? Tune in, take notes, and lean into the invitation to come home again. – – – – – – – – – – – – – – – If this message encouraged us, let us know in the comments. We all know the feeling of being a little lost. Perhaps we feel pulled in a dozen directions, or maybe we’re unsure what the next right step is? The noise of life can make that longing even louder; especially during the Christmas season.  In week one of our Welcome Home series, Pastor Kevin explores Luke 15:1–7, where Jesus tells the story of a shepherd who goes after one wandering sheep and celebrates when it’s brought safely home. This isn’t just a story – it’s our reality. We are the ones Jesus comes looking for. We are the ones He carries back to a place of belonging, peace, and restoration.  As we prepare our hearts this Christmas, we’re invited to consider how we’re turning toward Jesus, how we’re letting Him guide us home, and how repentance opens us to the life He offers. Tune in, take notes, and let this message draw us deeper into the hope of the Gospel this season. – – – – – – – – – – – – If this message encouraged you, let us know in the comments. Do you ever notice how easy it is for life to crowd out what matters most? Even when we’re trying to follow Jesus, our routines, pressures, and distractions can make us forget the very message that’s meant to anchor our lives. We all long to stay centered on the Gospel, but sometimes it feels like we drift without meaning to. In this week’s teaching from Mark 10:32–45, Pastor James shows us that we’re not the first to lose focus. Even the disciples overlooked Jesus’ words… not once, but multiple times. And yet, Jesus meets forgetful people with patience, grace, and a fresh invitation to follow Him more fully.  As we walk through this passage, we’ll remember that Nobody’s Perfect and the Gospel is about letting Jesus gently reshape our priorities, our patterns, and our purpose – if we will let Him. – – – – – – – –  For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark. Do you ever feel like you’re doing “all the right things” spiritually, yet something still feels stuck? Nobody’s Perfect, but maybe we’re trying to earn our way to God, or maybe there’s one things that’s quietly holding us back. If we’ve ever wondered why following Jesus feels harder than it should, this message speaks directly to that tension. In this week’s teaching from Mark 10:17–31, Pastor Kevin walks us through the story of the rich young ruler; a man with influence, success, and stability who still carried a deep longing. Jesus loved him enough to tell him the truth: there was one thing in his life he had never surrendered. As we explore this passage, we’ll discover that Jesus wants more FOR us than he wants FROM us, and that we can trust God with our identity, security and future. This message helps us see our lives with a kingdom perspective, loosen our grip on the things that hold us back and remember that with God, Anything’s Possible. – – – – – – – – – – – – For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark.If this message encouraged you, let us know in the comments. Do you want to live a meaningful life? Do you feel your existence lacks passion or purpose? If you’re longing to feel joy again and break out of the cycle of stress and self-focus, this message is for you! In week 30 of our Gospel of Mark series, Pastor Kevin reminds us that the Kingdom of God isn’t something we achieve; it’s something we receive. When life gets busy, it’s easy to forget that some of the greatest gift we’ll ever experience comes from serving others, and using what God has given us to lift up someone else. Tune into this teaching and get ready to take notes. If we can master this principle, we might just become people who live open-handed and filled with joy, and our lives will begin to point people toward Jesus. – – – – – – –  For more info and resources on this series, visit crosspoint.tv/mark. In this message from Pastor Kevin Queen, we look at Jesus’ teaching in Mark 10:1–12 and explore what the Bible really says about marriage, divorce, and singleness. Through this section of Scripture, Pastor Kevin reminds us that God sees us, loves us, and can redeem every part of our story; no matter our past or present circumstance.
