We continue our journey through the book of Romans. In today's passage, Hughie examines how sin no longer applies to us. Our old selves have died and we are changed. We are no longer bound by the law. The law helps us to see sin better, but the law offers little help over sin. The law is holy and expresses God's will for his people. It shows the sin in our lives. But God's grace is greater than any sin. But, if our old selves are dead and we are now living for Christ, shouldn't people be able to see it?Join our family morning service every Sunday at 11am.New Life HaydockPhythian StreetHaydockWA11 0AH

In today's sermon, we look at the closing verses of Romans Chapter 4. In these verses we see that we can personally be assured that the righteousness of Jesus Christ has been credited to our account by faith. But what does it mean to be a true Christian? We are to make sure that our trust is in Christ alone. Our faith must be personal and be like the faith of Abraham. Abraham believed God's promise and so should we. We continue our study of Romans. Today we see how Paul uses the Old Testament to prove that God credited Abraham's righteousness by faith even though he hadn't been circumcised by faith. We see that our salvation does not come though rituals (v9-12) nor by keeping the law (v13-15). Instead, salvation comes from God credited righteousness to us through faith in Jesus alone.Join our family morning service every Sunday at 11am.New Life HaydockPhythian StreetHaydockWA11 0AH
