A baby is a picture of dependence and helplessness. The baby born on the first Christmas, though, was a mighty warrior, invading a dark world. Meditate on the power of Jesus.
Redemption, salvation, deliverance: these three words are mega-themes throughout Scripture, and they summarize the true message of Christmas. That’s why Zechariah sings about them! Learn more as Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth continues in Luke 1.
Zechariah sang in response to what we call “divine visitation.” Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth says, When God visits His people, He always visits them to deliver them out of something and to deliver them into something else.
Amid the holiday hustle and bustle, do you long for a little silence? Zechariah, an overlooked Christmas character, learned a lot about being quiet. But after nine months, he broke the silence with a song.
Christians are not home yet . . . and Jesus is coming again. That perspective can help you “do” Christmas in a way that builds anticipation and points you and your loved ones to Christ. Caroline Cobb and Erin Davis explain.

“Hark the Herald Angels Sing” has a long history. The lyrics were tweaked by a famous preacher. Then the original music was replaced. Nancy will tell you the fascinating history of this carol. But more importantly, she’ll show you the gospel in it.
Though the holidays are often chaotic and filled with distractions, Noel Piper encourages you to use them purposefully. How? Through traditions that help us focus on Jesus and point others to Him as well.
Behind Christmas is a simple gospel message. But its simplicity doesn’t make it ordinary. Quite the opposite! Jesus was unlike any other man to ever live. Kirk Cameron interviews Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth about her book "Incomparable" on TBN.
Want to start Bible journaling but don’t know where to begin? Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth is here to help! She’s sharing all her favorite tips to make studying Scripture an engaging and delightful rhythm.

Thanksgiving. The word brings up images of family gathered around a table, with turkey and pumpkin pie. But the real test of thankfulness comes under more difficult circumstances. Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth shares about being thankful no matter what.
When it feels like everything you know is falling apart, where do you turn? Ciara Dierking lost her arms and legs in an infection. She turned to God’s Word as her ultimate source of wisdom to help her survive this tragedy.
Ciara Dierking lost all of her limbs to infection and has needed to learn a whole new way of life. But through this loss, she has learned to be grateful.
David Dierking remembers regularly driving between two hospitals. His son was being treated in one. His wife was in a coma.
Practicing thankfulness is one of those things that sounds easy but actually takes some work. Pastor and author Sam Crabtree joins Dannah Gresh in the studio to give us some helpful pointers.

I relate to ms watts story...I was just going through the motions of being a Christian...my maturity and growth in Gods word allowed me to see God is with me in my storms...He never promised a life without pain..He promised to walk through the pain with me...my eyes are wide open to His almighty love now...no matter what trials I face I know He is there by my side.

Love these ideas but not everyone has the perfect Christian family. How do we prepare our hearts for thanksgiving when members of the family aren’t invited to gather together because they’re not “Christian” enough? Does 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 apply to Thanksgiving?
