You can do Titus 2! This call to train up the next generation of women might sound daunting at first, but at its core, it’s beautifully ordinary. Hear real life examples of women who’ve lived this passage well.
Dr. Katie McCoy discusses Old Testament laws that cover what she terms “coerced disgrace,” and shows us the tender love of God in those laws.
In the law of Moses, God specifically addressed body-related things. Some of those laws can seem arbitrary or unkind to modern readers. Dr. Katie McCoy clears up the confusion and shows us God’s love for women.
God gave us a window into Who He is. We can understand more about His character based on His laws. But when we read His Word, it’s helpful to be aware of the cultural lenses we all wear, Dr. Katie McCoy explains.
Ruth’s story began with brokenness, but it ends beautifully. Boaz redeemed her, provided for her, and safeguarded her family line. From her lineage would come Jesus, the best Redeemer of all.
Ruth was redeemed by Boaz and welcomed into his family. Similarly, you are redeemed by God and welcomed into the family of faith. Nancy helps you marvel at the glory of redeeming love.
As women, we’re quick to take matters into our own hands when, so often, God is inviting us to rest instead. Our Redeemer is always working for our good. From Ruth’s story, we learn that it’s a safe thing to wait on Him.
Ruth’s life is a model for faithful womanhood. She gladly places herself under the covering of male authority and makes bold requests in faith. Nancy invites you to imitate Ruth’s godliness in your own life.
Are you afraid of being needy? In our day, many women prize self-sufficiency over humble dependence. But in Ruth’s story, we find that it’s our need that qualifies us for redemption. Nancy invites you to wonder at redeeming love.
Are you afraid of being unnoticed? That everything you’re pouring out will just fall through the cracks? Nancy reminds you that the Lord sees everything and that He rewards the ordinary faithfulness of the woman who trusts in Him.
What does a biblical woman look like? Well, pretty similar to Ruth! She’s a biblical example of what God designed womanhood to be—beautifully receptive to man’s initiative, diligent, and self-controlled.
Do you view work as a drudgery or a privilege? From Ruth’s story, we find that work performed from a place of love becomes worship. Nancy invites you to let your work become worship, too.
Are your circumstances mysterious, uncertain, or confusing? If so, you’ll relate to Ruth—a woman who entrusted herself to God’s providence and experienced redeeming love.
Are you harboring bitterness? If so, what can you do about it? Is there hope for you? Yes, always! Today, Nancy DeMoss Wolgemuth offers three suggestions to the bitter woman, and she points you to the truth that can set you free.
Do you ever feel like God is good to others, but not to you? When we encounter grief, it’s easy to grow bitter. But what if this circumstance is the very place God is asking you to trust Him? We’re looking at Naomi’s life for the answer.
The path of comfort and convenience—or commitment and compassion. Which will you choose? From Ruth’s story, discover which path leads to temporary happiness and which path leads to life.
Are you wandering? Have you made your home in the far country, distant from the Lord? Naomi was a wanderer as well, but she didn’t stay far from God. His invitation is a simple one. "Come home."
Have you experienced the Lord’s discipline? It’s painful in the moment—yet it’s always for your good. Naomi learned this lesson in the book of Ruth. Through discipline, God drew her back home. Today, learn more about God’s redemptive discipline.
When trials come, are you tempted to escape? Elimelech and Naomi tried to run from famine by fleeing to Moab, but this wasn’t God’s best for them. Nancy tells you more about the consequences of escapism.
Do you worry your past is too messy to be used by God? Do you look at the world and wonder how anything good could come from what you see? Ruth likely had similar questions, but God used her life to light the darkness. Your life can be a light, too.

BEAUTIFULLY, Beautifully done!
Thank you😭
she quoted, from a devotional book she was reading "a soul redeemed demands a life of praise".
Oh my - such a great episode and I’m so excited about this series!! Where can we find a link to the spoken word at the end?
thank you for encouraging us to keep our eyes on Christ, he is faithful!
wow! Just amazing!❤️
I relate to ms watts story...I was just going through the motions of being a Christian...my maturity and growth in Gods word allowed me to see God is with me in my storms...He never promised a life without pain..He promised to walk through the pain with me...my eyes are wide open to His almighty love now...no matter what trials I face I know He is there by my side.
thank you for this show. I love how short they are but filled w such wisdom.
Love these ideas but not everyone has the perfect Christian family. How do we prepare our hearts for thanksgiving when members of the family aren’t invited to gather together because they’re not “Christian” enough? Does 1 Corinthians 5:9-13 apply to Thanksgiving?
