After purchasing our first ever camper trailer and prepping the car it was time to take it on the road for a trial trip away. A change of tow vehicle meant a delay to our trip prep and redoing some of the work we had already done. A difficult decision was also required on the future of our pet. We made it to Tasmania (one of our big ticket places to see) and life on the road is taking a familiar shape now. After moving down Tasmania's stunning east coast we headed to Hobart and the surrounding areas. From leaving the comforts of friends in Hobart we wiggled our way back to Devonport but not before we experienced all the West Coast goodness we could handle. And what a trip it was! From the dizzying heights of a monumental dam to a river crossing to make Indiana Jones proud plus enough wind to blow the spots off a quoll. Tasmania you earned a spot in our hearts! After spending our first 2 months on the road it's time to reflect on whether our new lifestyle is working for us. Upon leaving the beloved Brou Lake we trundle a little further up the South Coast of NSW before heading inland to a wombat wonderland. With yet more rain, a crafty pack up ends in a sticky situation and we almost go back on a promise we made to ourselves. After jumping Sydney we moved our way further up the NSW Coast. A cracker of a low cost camp, a cracker of a waterfall and a cracker of a rat were all in store for us. Ah, the joys of travelling. After completing the first leg of our adventure we find ourselves passing through our home town. We have 3 weeks visiting family and friends as we move further north away from the cold. We are on our own again after a wonderful 3 weeks with family and friends. After entering croc country we move further up the Queensland coast. Jess gets a little deep on industry, zoos and operation platypus. After leaving the Canefields of Mackay it was time to continue a little further up the Queensland Coast and what better place to stop than  the Whitsundays. Airlie Beach was the destination and the proving ground for Ben's recent boat obsession.
