The news of Texas covered today includes:Our Lone Star story of the day: Despite a media feeding frenzy, Texas did not “backtrack” or “reverse course” on SB4 in oral argument before the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals today. No, in a Rush-style I-told-you-so, Texas’ solicitor general told the court that SB4 does exactly what I have been explaining that it does, and does not do, since it was being passed in the legislature. I explain fully today, with my regular frustration, at how lazy most have been on such a big subject – press and politicians. SB4 has never had a mechanism for actual deportation; the purpose of the bill is to get some of the issue before the Supreme Court to reconsider the horrible Arizona case, and; the DOJ is stretching the Arizona case precedent too.Our Lone Star story of the day is sponsored by Allied Compliance Services providing the best service in DOT, business and personal drug and alcohol testing since 1995.Before renting our your property to strangers through AirB&B or others, you might want to consider your massive personal liability.Listen on the radio, or station stream, at 5pm Central. A dairy work has a case, it’s a mild illness, some dairy cows have it, and now poultry have it. Headlines such as “Ken Paxton is Not Vindicated” and “This is Ken Paxton’s Texas” show the media going nuts over the dropping the spurious charges levied against Paxton way back in 2015.There never was a case worthy of a trial and once the special prosecutors had a firm court date, a thing they’d worked for years to avoid, they dropped the charges. The news of Texas covered today includes:Our Lone Star story of the day:  A MUST LISTEN SHOW! For well over a decade, I have covered the charges lodged against Ken Paxton over the so-called “securities fraud,” which was never fraud by the way.All that time, the evidence has shown it all to be a political revenge issue and I have said that the reason it didn’t come to trial was because it was being used by Paxton’s enemies as a political weapon.I said that the case would fall apart on appeal even if a guilty verdict was obtained before a Democrat jury. It didn’t even come to that – as soon as a judge finally set it for trial, the case, which was nothing to begin with, fell apart and the prosecutors dropped all charges today.I’ll give you a full refresher going back to 2014 with some items as far back as 2004.
