Tom Hsieh is the godfather of snowboarding media. He started Absolutely Radical Magazine in 1985 years before Transworld. Recorded in person with Tom Hsieh at The Legends of Tahoe event at Donner Ski Ranch where we got to ride powder together along with a group of absolutely radical legends.Support the Show.
Jimi Scott dug the pipe at Donner Ski Ranch while we all rode powder. Some things never change. Jimi was 5 times world halfpipe champion. He had iconic pro models on Apocalypse, Lamar, and Ice Age. Darrah and Geeves are two Winnipeg legends of professional snowboarding that moved to Whistler after growing up together at Forest Mountain, a converted gravel pit with a rope tow. The two are old friends and their careers happened together almost 20 years apart... Darrah's board is out right now on DWD and Geeves was a part of the legendary DC crew as a young teenager into his late 20's... These tow get along great after all these years and I'm honoured to have them on the show. Enjoy...The ...

TJ Schneider is a badass pro snowboarder from the 2000's (and Red Deer Alberta where the local hill is a valley not a hill or mountain...) who rode for Capita for 12 years. He was one of the original Capita team who suddenly vanished from snowboarding in 2012... Here's a conversation that includes a bit of backstory about that decision.Support the Show.

Josh Dirksen - FNRad S9E16

2024-02-1402:28:19

Josh Dirksen is one of the nicest pro snowboarders I've ever met. Hailing from Oregon and riding out of Mt Bachelor, Josh developed amazing surf style snowboarding through a career of competing, filming, and freeriding. Living with his family in Switzerland, I caught up with Josh at The Mount Baker Headquarters in Bellingham Washington just an hour from my house. Plane tickets for Josh and his daughter had already been purchased so even though the LBS is postponed because of lacklustre snow l...

Tyler Nichol is a cat driver from the Yukon. He was the guy behind the 2010 Olympic SuperPipe and then he did a few years building the Mount Seymour Park. I met him at Mount Baldy Resort outside Osoyoos where he currently lives and builds custom cars. The Ninth Season of the FNRad Podcast is Pr...
Retirement is going well. Thanks in a big way to this week's guest Sean Kearns. The story I'm telling myself is that you are lucky to have this conversational snapshot of where Sean is in his life today for many many reasons. One of the intentions of this conversation is to engage at least one person that needs to hear Sean's story right now. Sean is an amazing friend, anyone who considers him to be one knows exactly what I'm talking about. I'm honoured to bring you this chat with the one and...
