The movement sparked with the death of Mahsa Amini. A young Kurdish girl who was vacationing in Tehran with her brother before being detained by the Morality Police. Reuben Christman was born in Fremantle, Western Australia. At an early age, his music teacher snatched the instrument in his hand and replaced it with a trumpet. This moment would alter the direction his life would take.  Reuben soon developed a passion for the instrument and later went on to study music at the University of Western Australia. After playing in many bands, some which would take him on the road and across the country, he would in recent years, form The Old Road Trio - a strictly jazz outfit.
