A Prayer to Receive the Care of the Good Shepherd by Brooke McGlothlin  When we intentionally seek rest in His presence, He restores us so we can continue loving and serving our families from a place of fullness rather than exhaustion. In today's episode, we look at one of the most comforting images in Scripture—God as our Shepherd. As we walk through Psalm 23, we’re reminded that just as a shepherd carefully watches over his flock, the Lord lovingly cares for each of us. Just like sheep are prone to wander, we too can become distracted by the noise and demands of life. Yet Jesus continually invites us back to green pastures and still waters—places of peace, restoration, and renewed trust in His promises. Reference: Psalm 23: 1-2 Prayer: Dear Lord, help me to lead my children to you and remind them that you are our comforter, our loving shepherd, who will lead us to places of peace and restoration. Help me to live with a satisfied soul so that my children will see and know that you are truly enough. In Jesus' name, amen. A Prayer for When You are Running on Empty Do you ever feel overwhelmed by everything you’re trying to accomplish? The responsibilities of home, work, relationships, health, ministry, and rest can quickly pile up until our to-do lists feel suffocating. In this episode by Erika Owens, we are reminded that the Christian life was never meant to be lived in our own strength. Through Paul’s words in Ephesians, we see that God provides supernatural power through the Holy Spirit to accomplish the good works He has prepared for us. When we stop striving and surrender our plans to Him, we discover that God is able to do far more than we could ever accomplish on our own. Reference: Ephesians 3:20-21 Prayer: Almighty God, You are sovereign over all things. You are powerful, You are good, and You alone can overcome all my insufficiencies. Lately I have been so focused on checking off all the boxes and accomplishing all the things that I have forgotten to seek You for strength and guidance. All the striving has made me tired and weary. I need you, Jesus. Today, I surrender every item on my to-do list to You! You have promised to carry my heavy burdens and give me rest for my soul. Thank You for a fresh perspective and a renewed energy to do the good things You have planned for me. In Jesus’ mighty name, I pray. Amen. A Prayer for Wisdom

A Prayer for Wisdom

2026-03-0909:31

A Prayer for Wisdom The days feel long, but the seasons are short. We never really know when a certain "last" will happen. In every changing season, God invites us to seek wisdom and embrace the shift. While that transition can sting, it also offers a beautiful opportunity. Instead of striving to remain the center of our children’s and grandchildren’s lives, we can intentionally point them to the One who should be. Reference: James 3: 13-18 Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me live a life that glorifies you before my family. Trying to be their all in all not only sets me up for failure and disappointment, but far more importantly such misguided efforts keep me from pointing them to. When I forget, because I will, and I'm feeling like I'm on the outside of their lives looking in, remind me of this greater goal. I want to live demonstrating to my family that you are my joy and my heart's desire. Despite how dear my loved ones are to me, you are the well that never runs dry. In Jesus' name we pray, amen LINKS: Order Everyday Prayers for Love Follow Everyday Prayers @MillionPrayingMoms Get today's devotion and prayer in written form to keep for future use!  Support the ministry with your $5 monthly gift through Patreon. Reference: Genesis 16:13 Prayer: When mothering is hard and no one sees, help me to know that you see me, God, and you love me. A Prayer for Bread by Shellie Rushing Tomlinson God’s Word was never meant to be rushed through like a quick snack between tasks. In today's episode, Shellie Rushing Tomlinson reminds us of Jesus's encouragement Matthew 4:4 that we don’t live on physical food alone. Reference: Matthew 4:4 Prayer: Heavenly Father, forgive me for all the times I've snacked on your word like it's just another part of the food pyramid instead of acknowledging that your words are life remind me that i'm not eating the bread of life as a service for you i'm reading it so i can know you better and love you more in Jesus name we pray amen LINKS: Order Everyday Prayers for Love Follow Everyday Prayers @MillionPrayingMoms Get today's devotion and prayer in written form to keep for future use!  Support the ministry with your $5 monthly gift through Patreon. A Prayer to Know He Loves Every Part of You by Nicolet Bell As we receive the Father’s lavish love, we are also called to reflect that same love to our families—especially our children—through intentional words and unhurried presence. In today’s episode, Nicolet shares a tender bedtime moment between her husband and their four-year-old daughter that beautifully illustrates the lavish love of our Heavenly Father. Just as a child delights in simply being with her father, God invites us to slow down, sit with Him, and receive His love—not because of what we do, but because of who we are: His children. Reference: 1 John 3:1 Prayer: Father, help me to slow down today and truly hear the words of love that you speak over me. Remind me that I can’t earn or deserve your love. You love every single part of me - from my teeth to my feet - just because I am your daughter. Help me to be quick to share this lavish love with my children. That in the same way that your words of love encourage me and build me up, may my words of love to my children be a buoy for their hearts in a world that seeks to tear down. May my love for them be an example of your love for me. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
