Donahue came to Save The Music from Purpose, a digital strategic and creative agency that focuses on social impact projects. As COO & Head of Partnerships, he oversaw Purpose's business development, marketing, finance and operations. Notable client projects included branding and launch content for Syria's White Helmets, Everytown for Gun Safety, social media strategy for ACLU, and a global campaigning technology platform for Oxfam International. Donahue spent his pre-business career on the road across the USA as a fundraiser for political candidates including U.S. Senators, Jay Rockefeller and Ron Wyden. Leslie Odom Jr. is a singer, songwriter, broadway star, actor, and author. He best known for his portrayal of Aaron Burr in the musical Hamilton, which earned him a 2016 Tony Award for Best Actor in a Leading Role in a Musical and a Grammy Award for Best Musical Theater Album in the same year. Ric Mightybone Feliciano is a Puerto Rican 35 year music industry veteran. Ric is a trombonist, multi-instrumentalist, songwriter and lead singer from Brooklyn, N.Y. who has performed with the likes of Billy Joel, Paul Simon, John Lee Hooker, Jr., Pete Escovedo, Willy Torres, Phil Driscoll, Zucchero, Toto, Foreigner, Jimmy Bosch, and many others. Ralph played the Hammond organ/keyboards for Bobby Jones Gospel on Black Entertainment Television for twelve years and toured with Bebe and Cece Winans. With over 300 project appearances to his credit, Ralph’s career has taken him all over the world and has afforded him the opportunity to accompany numerous artists including the late Whitney Houston, Stevie Wonder, the late Luther Vandross, Aretha Franklin, and the late Walter Hawkins. He has graced the stage with both the Nashville and the Memphis Symphony Orchestras and has appeared on Late Night with David Letterman, the Arsenio Hall Show, Live with Regis and Kathy Lee, and the Pat Sajac Show. He currently is an organist for Grammy Award Winning Saxophonist Kirk Whalum and Grammy Nominated-Stellar Award Winning Contemporary Quartet, The Williams Brothers. Ralph is the owner and founder of Raph’Ton Music Enterprizes (a BMI affiliate) which houses three publishing entities, a record label, a consulting firm, and a future school of the arts. As an Indi Inspirational Instrumentalist, Ralph has produced six of his own CD projects and an instructional DVD. He has also produced several gospel artists; from which he has garnered two Dove nominations and a Stellar Award nomination for his work with the Quiet Time Players. Jerry Navarro is an in-demand bassist, music producer, and composer. In 2002, Jerry became a core member and bassist for “Pit Boss” of MuzikMafia, an informal collection of artists, united in response to what they viewed as an alarming over-commercialization of the music industry. Founded by Big Kenny and John Rich (Big & Rich), MuzikMafia began weekly jam sessions for like-minded individuals, playing a variety of styles and genres. By their example, together and singly, these musicians significantly changed the face of the music business. Over the course of seventeen years Joel has helped make CD Baby the largest music-employer in Oregon and one of the leading on-line distributors of independent music. The company hosts more than 650,000 artists, is available to over 100 digital platforms around the world, and represents 1/5th of the music at Spotify. Joel was a working musician when he began opening mail on weekends for CD Baby. He has since become a spokesman for the independent music scene and a mentor to many of its members. Joel posts regularly on a number of social media platforms, offering advice to the independent music community on business matters and issues having to do with management, touring, song writing, and music production. A fixture at industry events, Joel speaks frequently about independent music. He appeared at a recent South by Southwest Festival in a group of entrepreneurs that offered support to artists looking to place their demos. Joel also helps organize community ventures in Portland and around the world that aim to nurture careers in independent music, such as Downtown Music’s summer schools, the DIY Musician Conference at the Berklee College of Music campus in Spain, and various question and answer sessions about finding externships in music fields. In spring 2019, Joel took members of Lewis & Clark Law School’s Intellectual Property Student Organization (IPSO) on a tour of CD Baby’s facilities. Nathan Furst is a television and film composer. Furst's first major film was the 1998 movie A Moment of Confusion. He then went on to compose music for other films such as the Bionicle trilogy (Bionicle: Mask of Light, Bionicle 2: Legends of Metru Nui and Bionicle 3: Web of Shadows), Dust to Glory, Lake Placid 2, Lake Placid 3 and Act of Valor. Some of the television shows for which he has composed are The Real World and Max Steel. His more recent scores include Waiting for Lightning, Need for Speed, Cold Moon, and 6 Below: Miracle on the Mountain. He is a frequent collaborator with director Scott Waugh, having scored all of his films since Act of Valor. After they remained unreleased for over a decade, Furst officially released his scores for the Bionicle films in 2017. Furst has described these scores as some of his best work due to the amount of creative freedom he was given.
