The provision of any form of health and social care is challenging due to the level of complexity involved with the service provision, but with the average age of many congregations increasing, assuring the quality and safety of the care provided to older members of Missionaries and Religious Orders is a priority.
A comprehensive, robust governance and management framework is central to the provision of an effective service to ensure that service provides person centred care and strive to drive continuous improvement.
With this in mind, HCI hosted this webinar to discuss what is required to implement a robust governance and management framework.

HCI has completed detailed research of a number of seminal reports into catastrophic failings in healthcare across the UK and Ireland to identify the repeated failings that have directly impacted on the quality and safety of patient care.
This webinar provides a summary of this research, including the identification of the prevalent themes that predicated tragic outcomes for patients, including inadequate governance, system and processes failures, poor communications and disempowerment of staff and patients.
The webinar will also consider the controls and responsive models required by healthcare services to prevent recurrence of these tragedies.
Given Slaintecare's focus of moving the delivering care out of the acute setting and into the community where possible, there is now a need for Community Healthcare Organisations (CHOs) to examine their processes to look for opportunities to become more efficient.

The webinar covers:
• Slaintecare and the shifting of care out of hospitals into the community where possible – what this shift in the burden of care means for CHO’s?
• Digital Health Transformation – What is it and how it can help?
