The Sophie Cunningham Classic is a high school girls basketball showcase that has grown into a major event, not just in mid-Missouri, but in the world of high school basketball. Sophie, the namesake of the tournament has distinguished herself as a star in the WNBA, now playing with the Indiana Fever. Before that, Sophie and her sister Lindsey were both standout players for the University of Missouri, and before that Rock Bridge High School in Columbia, MO.
