Description

Welcome to 'I Wrote A Book' with Maddy Proud & Sophie Garbin of the NSW Swifts. This podcast features the reading of Maddy's first children's book 'Grace on the Court' which follows the life of netball-nerd Grace Parker in her first year of High School. While that sounds like a story in itself, the book is only the beginning. We've added some Sophie Garbin commentary and some exclusive insight into Maddy Proud's brain as she explains just how she came to write this absolute masterpiece. Hold onto your netballs, it's going to be one hell of a ride!

In the FINAL episode (we're not crying, you're crying) of I Wrote A Book, the Linwood Lions play their high school grand final and the fate of all your favourite characters is determined. But the biggest question of all is - will there be another book? There's only one way to find out...
In the penultimate episode of I Wrote A Book, things (contrary to what Sophie may think) are really heating up. The Linwood Lions play in their semi-final and the Friday at Five competition winner is revealed - all in one episode! Hold onto your headphones, it's going to be one hell of a ride!
If there was ever an episode not to miss, this would be it. I'm just going to leave it at that. #greb Follow @thetiedyeproject_ to support the Sydney Children's Hospital.
After a slight (2 month) hiatus/offseason, Maddy and Sophie are back and better than ever (or just the same as before). In Episode 9 we see Grace learn that sometimes life isn't all sunshine and rainbows and older brothers can be particularly moody. Chapters 17 and 18 see a lot of self discovery as Grace finally learns to open up and talk about her feelings. As always, it's an episode you won't want to miss!
The plot thickens in Episode 8 as we learn the outcomes from the Amber outburst last week. Will she come to training? Will she change her attitude? What does it all mean for the rest of the Lion's season? We also welcome back Sebastian and the Kings of Linwood. Will the romance develop or will Grace shut things down before they begin? There's only one way to find out...
Things are getting serious in this week's episode as we reach the highest point of drama for Grace and her friends. We also have a visit from an extremely special guest who shares some words of wisdom with our listeners. Another episode you won't want to miss!
This week Maddy and Sophie return to their rightful roles of reader and commentator respectfully. Things are getting juicy in chapter's 11 & 12 as Grace has another encounter with heartthrob Sebastian King and the Linwood Lions play their first netball game for the season. Another episode you won't want to miss (not that you'd ever miss one, anyway).
I Wrote A Book Episode 5 (Special Edition) by Maddy Proud & Sophie Garbin
The drama is building in Episode 4 of I Wrote A Book. We're up to chapters 7 & 8 of Grace on the Court and things are starting to heat up at home and school for Grace...
This week's episode would have to be the best yet. Not only are things starting to get juicy in Grace on the Court, we have a very special guest call in to say hi to all our 'I Wrote A Book' fans. We're not giving anything away, so you'll have to listen to find out who it is.
In this week's episode, we learn Sophie's true feelings about Grace Parker. Is she really too good to be true? Or is she simply a reflection of 13-year-old Maddy? You be the judge.
In Episode 1 of 'I Wrote A Book', Maddy Proud & Sophie Garbin read the first two chapters of the critically acclaimed (by Maddy) 'Grace on the Court'. Sophie will test her sound effect skills and ask Maddy some hard-hitting questions about the creation of the world of Grace Parker and the Linwood Lions. Get ready for a hilariously over-the-top 38 minutes of entertainment.
