Some absolute silliness this week as promised. What are the petty advantages of letting a corporation insert a microchip in your brain? 

It's not as morbid as it sounds... I promise! This week, we look at the best time to die. I predict the date of my own death, work out the best age to pass away, and the best time in history to shuffle off this mortal coil. It is upbeat, I swear! 

Sorry I missed you last week! I'm back now.  C/W - abuse This week there has been some decent internet content about how The Matrix is an allegory for the experience of trans people. So, I bring up an idea about how a British comedy film from 2007 is an allegory for systems of abuse. 

A story about how listening to a coffee shop conversation led me to a conspiracy about Donald Trump's current presidential tactics.

I've mentioned this before but it deserves a whole episode. It's a discussion about the logical nightmares of creating a computerised copy of your own brain. Then, there's a bit about Boltzmann Brains which is a mind-blowing theory about existence. 

Does luck exist? Yes. How can people use their relationship with their own emotions to create luck? Easy. Just listen.

An analysis of how tactics such as building churches, inventing the omnipresence of God and confessions led to the perception of mass surveillance for over a thousand years. Link in to how these tactics have now been adopted by more technologically advance governments. 

Sometimes things are near-impossible to explain, like this episode. The following flowchart is the best way I can sum it up. Do dogs have Stockholm syndrome > Do they know about death > Do we only suffer because of consciousness > Do we only exist because of consciousness > Can we prevent suffering by proving that we don't exist > If existence and therefore pain can't be avoided, can we do anything to make life better

So, today, I explain why feeding worms cocaine would be for the betterment of society (it's a joke, don't report me to PETA). This then morphs into a more general discussion about drug use and eventually a theory about how video games, meditation, drugs and creativity are all linked.

The news is full of Winston Churchill this week. So, this podcast is about how Winston Churchill is responsible for the fact that this podcast isn't in Russian. It's a history episode about how the British and the Americans had no impact on the result of the second world war. Enjoy!  **This episode contains a factual inaccuracy. Operation Mincemeat was actually for the invasion of Italy, not France. 

I'm on holiday, so recorded the podcast while chilling out admiring a view. It is purely off the cuff and unresearched. Topics include whether or not centipedes are left handed, whether your bio-cyborg security guard could beat you at chess and how shouting louder could influence elections. I was interrupted a lot, so it stops and starts but hopefully it'll be a pleasurable enough listen. 

This week's podcast is just a general meandering rant/discussion about the firey thing in the sky that keeps us warm. Its a nice, short episode, which won't take up too much of your day. There's an unexpected interruption and if you stick around, you can listen to me eating toast.
