I wish you would focus on the making of films and show the true love and drive of film instead of focusing on politics. If I wanted to listen about politics then I would go to a news podcast. I guess I should just stick to the Directors Cut. They seem to be able to focus more on the work that the creators did and being in depth about how they did what they did. If you want to encourage the young creators then focus on the passion that creates a screenplay!
I miss how ifh use to be.. bring Alex back and stop interviewing so many writers! haha IFH use to be the spot for the business side of film and creating projects.. learning from writers can be done from the best podcast for that - 'script notes'

Wow. I've been writing my entire life, screenplays for 10 years. What a fresh look at the art and craft. He's one of my top five gurus (sorry John) in screenwriting. He's given me insights not inly foe the future, but for me to re-work my previous screenplays which haven't sold. Awesome Alex!

In general, good advice. Generally, just use common sense. Incidental use of logos, as he said, is not a problem. But, remember, anyone can sue anyone for anything.

"You'll be 65 before you make your first film." Funny. I was a writer my entire life, mainly for newspapers and for political parties. A year before I retired, I saw an announcement for an indie film in the area. I called the director/producer and he brought me in as BTS photographer. In the next 10 years, I've written a dozen scripts (mainly shorts), and shot three shorts. And I'm now older than that magic number you cite. Yep I came into this as an old guy, but who's ready to retire for good? BTW, I enjoy your podcast and learned a lot.
