How do you handle entitled thoughts when they appear? In Mark 9, we see an example of how Jesus shows how to deal with entitled thoughts. Jesus identifies the thought, informs the thought, then impacts the thought. We may not always think of entitled thoughts as something we wrestle with, but they are important to address when renewing our minds. Entitled thinking can look like thoughts of, “I deserve better than what I’m getting.” These kind of thoughts will drift you further from Jesus more than any other kind of thoughts, and can be dangerous when we are blind to seeing it in ourselves. Jesus said in Mark 9, “If anyone desires to be first, he will be last.” Remember ✍️ 1: You cannot access greatness without its Author. 2: Combat entitled thinking by caring for the parts of the world in need. “Your feelings are real, but they’re not reliable.” From Exodus 3, we’re reminded that God calls ordinary people into extraordinary purpose. Even when insecurity, fear, and impostor syndrome try to speak louder than His voice. Just like Moses, we often make excuses: Who am I? I’m not enough. I don’t know enough. What if I fail? I can’t do this. But God isn’t looking for perfection He’s looking for surrender. He doesn’t need our confidence, our eloquence, or our qualifications. He wants our obedience. Sometimes the very thing standing between us and God’s calling is what we refuse to lay down. When God says “take off your shoes,” He’s asking us to remove whatever separates us from Him: sin, fear, pride, insecurity, or control. God doesn’t just send us, He goes with us. His presence leads. His name empowers. His promises sustain. His power makes the impossible possible. You are called. You are chosen. You are sent. Not because you’re enough, but because He is. 🤍 Each week, Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts! 📱 https://www.bible.com/events/49566453 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Feeling unloved or unworthy doesn’t change the truth of who God says you are. 🖤 In Luke 15, we’re reminded that our worth isn’t defined by our failures, our past, rejection, or perfectionism. It’s defined by the Father. We don’t have to earn God’s love. We don’t have to clean ourselves up first. We don’t have to perform, prove, or punish ourselves to be worthy of His grace. God doesn’t meet us with disappointment; He meets us with compassion. He runs toward us. He restores us. He robes us in honor and calls us His own. When we live in thoughts of unworthiness, we live in defeat. But when we live in the truth of God’s love, we live in freedom. You are more loved than you can imagine. You are not lost; you are called. You are not unworthy; you are His child. 🤍 Each week, Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts! 📱 https://www.bible.com/events/49563132 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! People-pleasing may look harmless, but it slowly replaces obedience with approval. In Galatians 1:10, Paul reminds us that we can’t seek the approval of both God and man at the same time. When our value is tied to being useful, liked, or not disappointing others, it leads to exhaustion, compromise, comparison, and fear. The fear of man becomes a trap, but trust in the Lord brings freedom (Proverbs 29:25). The cure isn’t trying harder—it’s trusting deeper. Knowing we are fully known and fully loved by God allows us to let go of man’s approval and walk in obedience, even when it costs us. Less approval. More obedience. Less fear. More freedom. ✝️🤍 Each week, Paradigm sermons are posted on YouTube, Spotify, Amazon Music, and Pocket Casts! 📱 https://www.bible.com/events/49559689 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! This week’s message reminded us that the greatest battles we face aren’t always external. Often, the battlefield is the mind. Romans 12:1–2 calls us to resist conforming to the patterns of this world and instead be transformed by the renewing of our minds. We were challenged to recognize that not every thought deserves agreement, that we are not defined by our strongest thoughts. Through Christ, we can take thoughts captive, identify lies, and replace them with truth. God desires dominion over every area of our lives, including how we think. When we invite Him into the process, we begin to walk in clarity, freedom, and victory. Proving what is the good, acceptable, and the perfect will of God. What’s the loudest thought in your head right now? And what does God say about that? Missed last night’s message? Living free from condemnation! Romans 8 reminds us that God doesn’t label us by our past—only He gets to name us, and He calls us His. When we stop trying to live in our own strength and surrender our lives and minds to Christ, our focus shifts and our lives start to look different. The evidence of a changed heart? A life being changed by Jesus. He lives in us, and He’s the one doing the transforming 🤍✨ https://www.bible.com/events/49530243 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Feeling stuck? You’re not alone — but you don’t have to stay there. Sometimes it’s not clear, we’re not convinced, or we think we can’t change. But Romans 6 reminds us: ➡️ God’s truth about you is real. ➡️ You’ve died to sin and get to live with Christ. ➡️ In Him, you have the power to get unstuck. You don’t have to keep running the same route — Jesus already made a new way. ✨ https://www.bible.com/events/49520313 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Death is the most obvious reminder that something in our world isn’t right. We weren’t created to die — sin brought death into humanity through Adam. But just as death entered through one man, life and hope come through another — Jesus. 🙌 We don’t have to fear death because Jesus defeated it. He’s our victory, our forgiveness, and our meaning. The real question is… what’s your plan after death? Because death is certain — but in Christ, so is life. The Benefits of a Relationship with God ✨ When you have a relationship with God, everything changes. 💭 It puts your problems in perspective—because even your suffering has purpose. God uses it to build endurance, character, and hope that never disappoints. 🙌 Our relationship with God is rooted in His love—undeserved, unearned, and unshakable. ❤️ Through Jesus, we’ve been justified, reconciled, and given access to peace that the world can’t offer. The best thing about Christianity isn’t what we get, but who we get. 🤍 https://www.bible.com/events/49513484 Paradigm is a weekly gathering of Kansas City college and 20s-30s young adults who desire to see Jesus made known throughout the city! Romans: Credited

Romans: Credited

2025-10-2247:23

This week we looked at Romans 4 and the incredible truth that we are saved by faith, not by our own works. Salvation isn’t something we can earn—it’s something that’s credited to us through Jesus. 💥 Before we ever do anything, our identity in Christ comes first. And when doubts creep in, we can rest in this: faith over feelings, focus over distractions, and trust over fear. ✝️ Missed last night’s message? “Dying for Access” 🔑Pastor Jon dives into Romans 3 where we are reminded that righteousness isn’t earned—it’s accessed. Through Jesus, we’ve been given direct access to God, not because of what we’ve done, but because of what He’s already done. 💡 The Promise of Access: It’s for everyone who believes. 💰 The Price of Access: Jesus paid it all—justified, redeemed, and set free. ⚡ The Power of Access: Nothing we do earns it, but everything changes when we believe it. We don’t have to fight for access—it’s already been given. Will you have the courage to believe it? Missed last night’s message? Romans: We Need CPR

Romans: We Need CPR

2025-10-0252:29

Pastor Chad digs deep into Romans 3 and reminds us of the weight of sin and the beauty of the gospel. ✨ Paul shows us that we all fall short—none of us are righteous on our own. Sin isn’t just something we stumble into; it’s what we naturally choose. But the good news is that God, in His justice, doesn’t leave us there. 🙌 The law reveals our brokenness, but it also points us to our desperate need for a Savior. True righteousness doesn’t come from what we do—it comes through faith in Jesus Christ. 💜 Once we understand the depth of our need, we can fully embrace the hope and freedom found in Him. 🕊️ Missed last night’s message? Good Lies We Believe 👀 Pastor Jon continued through Romans at the Crossroads and discussed 3 lies that keep us from truly depending on Christ: 1️⃣ “I’m not that person.”➡️ Comparing yourself to others won’t make you right with God (Romans 2:1-5) 2️⃣ “I’m not that lost.”➡️ It’s not about how far you’ve strayed—it’s about trusting in Jesus’ finished work (Romans 2:16-20) 3️⃣ “I’m not that bad.”➡️ Even our best efforts fall short. Rely on Christ, not your own goodness (Romans 2:21-29) We don’t need to try harder—we need to depend deeper. 💯 Missed last night’s message? Pastor Chad continued our Romans series by talking about the wrath of God. In times like these, it’s not always easy or comfortable to think about God’s wrath. But Pastor Chad reminded us that despite those feelings, we actually need God’s wrath. If grace is God’s love, His wrath is a reflection of His perfect justice. 🙏 Romans 1:18 says: “For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who suppress the truth in unrighteousness.” (NKJV) God’s wrath isn’t impulsive—it’s deliberate. It’s against those who reject good and embrace evil. We’re living in a time where we’re witnessing His passive wrath on a society that has lost respect for life and morality. In these times, we need to fall to our knees and repent. 🙌 Let His wrath help us look within, identify the wickedness in our own hearts, and recognize the brokenness in the world so we can bring God’s hope and grace to others. ✝️ Missed last night’s message? What a night in Johnson County! 🙌 We officially opened our doors, and it was an incredible turnout! So many new faces came to hear God’s Word, and countless new connections and friendships were formed. 🤝 Pastor Chad kicked off our new Romans series preaching live from the Johnson County location — and it was a powerful reminder of the transformation the Gospel brings to everyone. The Gospel brings:✨ Promise – Prophetic words fulfilled👤 Person – Jesus, the image of the invisible God🎁 Provision – Grace delivered into our lives🎯 Purpose – It’s for you, but not about you. It’s all for His name’s sake “…concerning His Son Jesus Christ our Lord… declared to be the Son of God with power… Through Him we have received grace and apostleship for obedience to the faith among all nations”— Romans 1:2–6 (NKJV) We’re just getting started, and we can’t wait to see what God continues to do through this new community! 🕊️🔥 Missed last night’s message? What if revival isn’t an event, but a new normal? In this Revive Week message, guest speaker Drew Worsham (pastor, church planter, and Christian illusionist) opens Acts 4 to show how the early church lived with a clear message, were marked by Jesus, and were motivated by the cross, and why we can’t “come have revival and then go back to normal.” Drew shares a memorable Rubik’s Cube illustration, powerful gospel clarity, and a call to move from performance to proximity to Jesus. If you’ve ever felt spiritually “scrambled,” this message will help you place your life in the hands of the One who can truly transform it. Key Scriptures: Acts 4:1–22; Ephesians 2:1–5; John 15:1–5; Romans 1:16 Big Idea: The gospel isn’t about making bad people good; it’s about making dead people alive in Christ. 3 Anchors from Acts 4 Message Was Clear — “There is salvation in no one else…” (Acts 4:12) Marked by Jesus — People could tell they had been with Jesus (Acts 4:13). Motivated by the Cross — “We cannot help but speak…” (Acts 4:20). Pastor Phil wrapped up our Multipliers series with such a powerful reminder: God’s plan has always been to build Himself a family and a kingdom without end (Gen. 1:26–28). 🌎 From the very beginning, God called us to:➡️ Be fruitful → Evangelism➡️ Multiply → Discipleship➡️ Fill the earth → World Missions But here’s the truth: multiplication starts with fruitfulness!! The mark of maturity isn’t just growing for ourselves, but reproducing—raising up spiritual sons and daughters who can multiply too! ✖️ We are the bride of Christ, and intimacy with Him is what produces fruit. Will we be a barren bride, or a fruitful one? Jesus said, “By this My Father is glorified, that you bear much fruit” (John 15:8). 🙏🏾 So we have to ask ourselves: What will you live for, and what will you give your life to? Missed the message?
