Welcome to another episode of HerOwnHero Pod a podcast created to showcase the lifestyle and journey of African women in their twenties, and how they navigate, love, work and everything in between this beautiful life we have no clue how to live but have to trust the process regardless.. We'll be taking a twist on the podcast with a new series on Deconstruction. In this series, we will be sharing core topics and dismantling our initial understanding of them starting with religion. Growing up in mostly strict African homes, we were taught to see the word in certain ways, this affected how we viewed religion, sex, marriage, career, and money.  On this episode,  Dubamo Aginighan, a Husband, Writer  & co-hosts of Du Barman’s Barbecue, sits with me to discuss what deconstructing religion looks like. If you've ever wondered what it means to 'deconstruct Christainity' this is your best starting point. We talked about how our idea of God can be different from what God really is, and how changing the way we see God, can change the way we love, relate with people and ultimately serve God.  Just like our #WomenInTech Series, the #WildlyDeconstructing series, will feature a guest and spotlight any of these core topics in each conversation. We are holding nothing back as we break the boundaries in these topics, we can take them as hot as you can give them to us.
