In the 1950s and 60s, the public glimpsed the tip of a vast iceberg: Project MK-Ultra, a CIA initiative devoted to mapping, shattering, and reprogramming human consciousness.Figures like Dr. Sidney Gottlieb and George Estabrooks worked in concert with Stanford Research Institute and Tavistock, weaponizing hypnosis, trauma, LSD, and sensory manipulation.
