Description
In 2016, Christian Ruvalcaba, Cody Hall, and Brian Perez started recording themselves talking and the rest was history. Their hour-ish long podcast, known as “The Wanger Show”, quickly became and continues to be the #1 podcast (according to us) on the Schmoes Know iTunes feed. Their popularity has skyrocketed but their egos have been kept in check. Well, except for Brian. That guy’s out of control. Together, the guys continued to collaborate on various short films and sketches while remaining the BEST of friends. Maybe not the best of friends. They’re friends. Well, they’re more acquaintances.

Hey! Welcome back to the pod. Let's get right to it. TONIGHT, 28 Years Later: The Bone Temple came out and nobody saw it and we're bummed about that because we like watching movies about zombies getting high. Stranger Things fans are also mad at SNL. The Dodgers are ruining baseball again. Cody looked back and learned he was ugly in 2016. A lot going on this week! It's a new year and we are hitting the ground running at a relatively slow pace! Welcome back to the show, everybody. TONIGHT, our pal Alex returns to help us kick off a new year of the pod. We'll look ahead to what's in store for us all, what we left behind in 2025, and other generic ways to say this is a new year and that last year is done. Join us as we laugh at stuff. Hopefully you laugh as well. We did it, folks. Last pod of the year, can't hold anything back now. Do people still get Waterboy references? ANYWAY, welcome to the program. TONIGHT, our pal Eric Striffler returns to close out 2025. Stranger Things is also back, kind of. I don't know. Does anyone know anymore with that show? We have a couple of chaotic games to play. We also had a short film come out this past week and it was critically acclaimed by the twelve people who watched it. Check out the link below. It's good. Happy Holidays, folks! Welcome back to the program. TONIGHT, it's Christmas time and Santa Claus was supposed to be on the show but he canceled on us again. Avatar: Fire and Ash just came out and we have thoughts but we're scared to share those thoughts. We also have fun games in store. Cody has a very important ranking to share. We also have a new ELF ON THE SHELF short film coming out TOMORROW (or later tonight on the Patreon if you're nasty).
Hello everyone, welcome back to the pod! TONIGHT... it's Avatar week and apparently Avengers Doomsday has a million different trailers attached to it, we also watched a few motion pictures, the Video Game Awards were fun (we think?), the Chargers got a big dub on Sunday, we have a game or two to play, and Cody went to a winter wonderland and got yelled at by children.
Hey! Vibe check. How we all doin? TONIGHT, Netflix bought WB but then Paramount got mad and did a hostile takeover. I don't know what that means but it sounds angry. Quentin Tarantino wants to punch Paul Dano for some reason. We filmed something this weekend. We also have ANOTHER sad update to share.
STRANGER THINGS TALK STARTS AT 0:37:29Happy December, folks. That's right. The year's almost over already and we are that much closer to death. This description got dark very quickly. Sorry about that. ANYWAY! Tonight on the show, Stranger Things has returned after a 38 year absence and things feel weird now, Pluribus is the best show on TV, and we have a sad update to share as we have to say goodbye to an important part of our podcast.
WE HAAAAVE BEEN maybe possibly perhaps CHAAAAAANGGGEEEEDDD....FOR...good. Howdy! Welcome back to the show. TONIGHT, Wicked came back down from their bubble, Doug. Cody bought a really expensive drink at AMC to watch it. Pluribus and The Creep Tapes are trucking along, but I think only one of us is fully caught up there. Cody is finally back from his two weeks of AirBnb chaos (he's also a piano guy now). We have a game or two prepped as usual. Gonna be a fun program tonight.
Hey! Welcome back to our dumb show. TONIGHT, the movies are back. Television is back. We're back but we're also always here so that's not as important. But we watched Frankenstein and we have thoughts. We watched Predator Badlands and we have thoughts. We watched Pluribus and more than anything we're glad to have Vince Gilligan soundbites again. We're gonna have a fun one tonight.
Hello! Welcome back to our show! TONIGHT, it's Godzilla Day, and that's definitely a holiday we were all totally super familiar with already, correct? Okay great. The Dodgers also won the World Series. Again. Cody watched the whole series. Again. Halloween happened and so did a WAR in the comments section of our Halloween rankings TikTok. Many things happened! Come hang out with us.
