On Drew & Shwin's last episode on the Posting & Toasting Show, the guys are joined by Jeremy Cohen to dive into whether or not the Knicks should consider taking on any bad contracts for additional picks or other assets. Well, that was the original topic of the show — they do talk about this, for the record — and the reminder of the show is simply a hodgepodge of tangents and takes that it got too difficult to track. If you want to continue this Knicks journey with Drew & Shwin, please follow @PodStrickland on Twitter to get the latest updates. It's been one hell of a ride. Learn more about your ad choices. On this bizarre belated release of the Posting & Toasting Show, Drew and Shwin are joined by Jeffrey Bellone (JB) from Daily Knicks to discuss the hiring of Kenny Payne, whether or not it's fair to critique Kevin Knox in the context of the Knicks "missing" on players who were drafted after him, Michael Porter Jr., and theories on team building. Oh, and Drew tells a tail of how he became his own animal control. This episode today is brought to you by bats. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
It may be tropical storming in the New York area but that doesn't prevent us from slingin' that 'tent, baby! On this Eisner Award winning midweek 'sode, Shwin is joined by Prez to talk about some oh so very important topics like Devin Booker going bonkers in the bubble, Zach LaVine making sense for the Knicks in a very specific context, and why signing Fred VanVleet makes so much sense. If you're wondering where Drew is, well, when the three of them were recording the first time, the power went out and the guys lost the recording. On the second attempt, he couldn't make it. We will miss you, Drew. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On this oh so very nice episode of the multiverse's most nominated Knicks podcast, Drew and Shwin are joined by their esteemed colleague Alex Wolfe to talk about NBA basketball finally being back, another Dallas Mavericks scandal that will more than likely be swept under the rug, Thibodeau being introduced by the Knicks, and so much more. Drew also disappears for a good portion of the pod for undisclosed reasons. Does he return to explain what happened? You'll have to listen to find out. Learn more about your ad choices. On a postponed episode of the Posting & Toasting Show, Drew & Shwin are joined by James Marceda and Jordan Cohen to talk about, you guessed it, Tom Thibodeau. Everything and anything about Thibs was covered in excruciating detail and nuance that the Posting & Toasting Show is known for. Once they turned over every stone possible on the Knicks coaching search, the four gentlemen then turn to talk about the bleak future of the Cleveland Cavaliers. Was this the greatest episode ever recording in the history of the show? Probably not, no. But it is certainly worth your time, mental investment, and praise. Learn more about your ad choices. Our favorite Timberwolves writer and fan Jack Boram joins Drew and Shwin again to discuss the player write-up series he has been doing over at Canis Hoopus. It basically gave Drew and Shwin and excuse to just not talk about the Knicks and talk about players and teams like Devin Booker and the Phoenix Suns, Joe Harris and his fit with the Timberwolves versus the Knicks, and Jerami Grant being a fake-good offensive player that doesn't make sense for rebuilding teams. After speaking at length about these players, Shwin not only comes up with the Shoe Size Theory that was supported by live research, but also has a classic Shwin rant about the journalistic integrity of Bleacher Report (that's the polite way of phrasing it). This episode is brought to you by the freedom fighters still in the streets and risking their lives being kidnapped by secret police. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On this week's Latin Grammy nominee for best sound editing, Drew and Shwin are joined by their very good friend Prez to talk about the inevitable hiring of Tom Thibodeau, Leon Rose's love for Frank Ntilikina, and what is there to learn from draft misses. Oh, there are a ton of tangents, resulting in the guys doing one of their signature marathon 'sodes that make you want even more somehow. Why? Who knows. Learn more about your ad choices. On this anniversary episode of the multi-verses greatest Knicks podcast, Drew and Shwin are joined by Jeffrey Bellone and Jonathan Macri to dive into topics prompted by tweets JB and Macri made this week. The guys discuss whether or not keeping the current young core makes sense as well as how many wins would either Tom Thibodeau or Kenny Atkinson add to this Knicks team? Am I oversimplifying this episode? Possibly. And if that's the case, you better start listening to it now. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On another crossover episode with Knicks Film School, Drew and Shwin are joined only by Jeremy Cohen. Why Jonathan Macri refused to join the guys is something that Drew and Shwin are just going to have to get over. The three amigos primarily discuss and speculate about the impact COVID is going to have on the non-major markets as teams will need to navigate a smoothed-out salary cap, very little, if any, revenue sharing from the big-market teams, and so forth. Then they discuss whether or not Tom Thibodeau would actually ruin a chance at a job that is apparently to lose by holding out to wait for another potential opening. You can catch the rest of this conversation and more on the Knicks Film School podcast coming out whenever they release their 'sodes. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
Your favorite draft experts PD Webb and Benoît Lelièvre join Drew and Shwin to discuss a number of very important draft prospects for the New York Knicks. How exactly do you pronounce Aaron Nesmith's last name? Is Killian Tillie the a top 5 talent? All these questions and so much more are answered on this special marathon mid-week 'sode! On this week's award-winning 'sode, Drew and Shwin are joined by the better half of Knicks Film School, Jeremy Cohen, to discuss his latest piece on the Knicks building a team for the future. How is their current position moving forward? How much will the cap affect the team? Should the Knicks look to trade players? All of these questions and much more are answered with the style and grace associated with the program. Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On this week 'sode, Drew & Shwin are joined by Dave DuFour of, well, a lot of different places related to basketball content. Dave, Danny Leroux, and friend of the show Seth Partnow currently have a series on The Athletic reviewing all NBA teams. Drew & Shwin wanted to dive into more detail about Dave's thoughts on the New York Knicks. Is he high on RJ Barrett? Does he also love Frank Ntilikina? What are the actual skills Mitchell Robinson needs to develop to maximize his potential? All of these questions and more are answered in this view 'sode! Exciting, I know. This episode is brought to you by arrest Breonna Taylor's murderers already, dammit! Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices
On another marathon mid-week 'sode, Drew and Shwin are joined by the greatest NBA Draft experts to ever expert: PD Web & Benoit Lelievre. The quirky quartet (well, many Shiwn, PD, & Benoit) discuss in great detail some of the key international prospects in the draft. Do they love Deni? Is Killan Hayes another D'Angelo Russell? Who the hell is Leandro Bolmaro!?!!? All of these questions and more are answered. And after they wrap up on the international prospects, the guy wax poetic about Florida State prospects Devin Vassell and Patrick Williams. The four gentlemen and scholars discuss the early years of Atkinson when the Nets best player was Trevor Booker, how much impact he actually had on D'Angelo Russell, and how would he fit with the current Knicks young core. Which one of RJ Barrett, Mitchell Robinson, Kevin Knox, or Frank Ntilikina misses the cut of a "Kenny Atkinson player." Alex Wolfe joins the dynamic duo to discuss a whirlwind of news surrounding the New York Knicks. Not only are the Knicks interested in Tom Thibodeau and Kenny Atkinson, they are also going to be interviewing a number of candidates such as Ime Udoka, Pat Delany, Chris Fleming, and potentially Becky Hammon! Once they get their takes off on the coaches, Drew, Shwin, and Alex then discuss the conflicting emotions surrounding the NBA's return and continue to reenforce just how bananas this Orlando bubble idea is. Jb has been out of the basketball game for a while, so the guys spend most of the time catching up with him and discussing some of the general Knicks fodder that's been around related to Tom Thibodeau, RJ Barrett, Kevin Knox, NBA free agents, and existentialism. On this extra-special midweek episode of America's Podcast, Drew and Shwin are joined by the second smartest person they know, The Professor of Posting & Toasting, to discuss James Dolan's internal email to the organization. Well, to be fair, it's a little more than that. The guy do go off script by commenting on the protests occurring in the US before getting to the real reason they decided to record an episode. Drew wanted to explore why he reduced his initial reaction to James Dolan's lack of statement as "this is just PR garbage and we shouldn't care what corporate entities say in press releases because it's meaningless without actions." The Professor then explains to Drew the importance of not reducing a lack of speech to simply PR tactics and why not releasing a statement actually does speak volumes. After Drew learns a valuable lesson, the guys then dive into the end of the Knicks season and the chaos that will ensure in Disney World. Oh, and more Thibs talk. How can you say the cavs gave up really good players to get Mitchell when Lauri Markkanen is not a really good player and the rookie hasn't played for them yet. The only player they gave up aside from those 2 is Collin sexton who didn't play for the most of last year so they're literally upgrading from just Lauri markkenn to Mitchell.
