His story of hearing Choose Life Radio on the car radio during Covid and being with his near-death daughter, initiated an immediate friendship with my husband and me.

In part two, J.J. Jasper continues to unfold the story of God’s redemption. The loss of Cooper—while devastating to us “earthlings,” is a story of glory and eternity with the Father of Life. J.J. has a wonderful way of dealing with the tragedy we humans experience and the glory of eternity with God that Cooper continues to experience.

Some stories are fun and exciting. Others are absolute heartbreakers. They start out great—and then the reality of a fallen world shows up. And that’s the case with J. J. Jasper and his son, Cooper. We welcome J.J. today to share the story of the most “wonderful” and the “worst” day of his life. I’m grateful for how God continues to use J. J. and his amazing family as they share Cooper’s story with us.

Today I’m talking with my friend—Berry Carter. When I served as the CEO of several Pregnancy Centers, Pastor Berry was an incredible encouragement. His congregation raised financial resources so centers could impact their communities for Life. No one believes more in the sanctity of human life than Berry. But we all face challenges. And sometimes they shake us to the core. Berry and his wife, Peggy, have experienced those highs and lows. But in the midst of it, they experienced Christ’s love.

Linda Keener Thomas reminds us that we have memorials for people who have died in wars, protecting our nation. And it's a gift we should remember. But in 2019 alone, 629,898 legal induced abortions were reported to CDC from 49 reporting areas—so we obviously need a memorial wall for those humans killed in the battle of abortion, right? We are so glad Kelly Lester is back with us this week for an even deeper dive into her life. After hearing her story last week, I do hope you shared her testimony with family and friends and that they were able to hear part 1. And I'm assuming you also invited them to join us for part 2. Her life before Christ is a dark journey. Drugs, alcohol and gangs make for scarry experiences! But have NO FEAR. God is with us, and the story of Kelly’s life touches us all. 

Kelly Lester is a strong woman who dealt with a deeply hurtful childhood. And once that pain is experienced as a child—it’s far likely to continue into adulthood. Kelly shares her complicated past and the painful ways she disappointed her praying father. He prayed—at just the right moment—calling on God to save her life. This interview shows the love of a father, his commitment to Christ and Kelly’s absolute turnaround in Christ. 

Linda’s story—unfortunately—is like so many others. As a child, teen and young adult—she visualized God as an angry father. And no matter how much she tried—she failed. At least in her eyes. In the midst of perceived failure and rebellion—she became a teenage mom. It was then she began to see and experience God is a totally different way. Listen and experience Linda her incredible journey from empty seeker to spiritual wholeness.

After ten gratifying years of parenthood and 25 in high tech marketing, Terri founded Unplanned Good. Terri is a marketer. She helps Silicon Valley companies grow and develop—sometimes beyond their hopes! She’s also the founder of MarketSavvy, a consulting firm offering a mix of practical and effective marketing advice. Terri is the adoptive mom of a now 26-year-old woman who is the love of her life. Chief Jeffrey Yarbrough is one of those guests who becomes an immediate friend. The Chief’s philosophy of public safety is one of breaking down silos. Silos don’t speak of teamwork—and that’s what the Chief of Hutto, Texas is all about. If we were to find ourselves in a precarious situation—we would be reaching out to Jeffrey for help. A true Christ follower—this policeman understands spiritual needs of perpetrators and victims alike.

Carol Everett is a talented and successful woman. But having experienced abortion and possessing an unhealthy desire for money—she focused her talents on abortion clinics. Her goal—to “help” women and become a millionaire. But gratefully—her life took a dramatic turn. Her sincere desire to follow Christ took her out of the abortion business to the ministry of life. Her story is what God is anxious to do in each one of our lives.

Kathleen’s testimony gives us an untarnished look at what so many young women experience today.  Sexually active at twelve and pregnant at fourteen. Life became a challenge on numerous levels. After experiencing failed marriages, she came to Christ and committed herself and family to following his leading. This lady understands the importance of churches addressing the issue of abortion and realizes the body of Christ, must do everything in our power to save lives.

Pastor Todd Mullins shares a message of HOPE and ASSURANCE in a sea of doubt. According to Todd—“All it took was one jarring moment on a mountain for me to be in the grip of doubt. A tool of the enemy—doubt is a seed implanted in our minds to distract us from God and His truth.” (from his book – Don’t Let Doubt Take You Out) Don’t miss Todd as he shares a few life experiences.

I’m not sure I’ve ever met anyone who comprehends Ephesians 2:10 like John. In light of his now adult son—born without eyes—this verse shines light on our spiritually blind eyes. “We are his workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand, that we should walk in them.” Hear this wonderful word-picture of the difference Christ makes in the lives of His followers. And don’t miss hearing John’s heart for LIFE!

A board member suggested his friend—John Knight—would be an encouraging interview. And it is. It aired a little over a year ago. Jill thought it should be aired again, and when you hear it—you’ll agree. John thought “being good” might qualify him as a Christian. Realizing he was wrong, he surrendered his life to Christ. and then, “LIFE” got complicated. After hearing this interview—you’ll never think about your sight the same way again.

Nearly seven years ago Fern was one of my first interviews on Choose Life Radio. Her story was powerful because of her love for those suffering from past abortions. The author of two grief recovery books and a woman’s devotional, today she shares another aspect of her Christian walk. If you have persons in your life with special needs, you’ll find yourself celebrating the blessings you and Fern share.
