On today’s episode of Vinyl Fridays Brandon & AP Lindsay are joined by guest DJ Chris Bizarro who runs his restaurant Bizarro & Son out of the kitchen at The Rock Island Public House in Blue Island Illinois. He also promotes shows featuring local bands at Front Row on Olde Western (in Blue Island). The next show is scheduled for Sunday, May 26th and will feature The Cell Phones, Sweetie, Won’t Stay Dead, Cut Your Losses and Anxiety Patrol; not to mention flash tattoos, and vendors. And Christ will display his love & support of local music by playing sets of some stellar local Chicago and Blue Island bands including Cafe Racer, Gander, Waltzer, The Walters, Spider Bait, Son of A Gun, Fighting for Scraps, Aight Bet, The Symposium, Shots Fired, Lollygagger & Max Loebman, while Brandon stumbles through his meager collection of local talent. Well, they’re local somewhere, right? On this week's episode of Vinyl Fridays Brandon and AP Lindsay play host to Blue Island legend Jimmy Munoz. Traditionally a House DJ, Jimmy has been DJing for many years (unlike Brandon) has appeared on Vocalo, and a number of his mixes can be heard on Mixcloud. On today's episode Jimmy dives into the deep end of the freeform pool and mixes in a number of favorites with an equal amount of surprises. They also talk about Blue Island, of course, and Jimmy's sense of style.      Vinyl Fridays theme song by Dazzleflage Bed music: Apache by Jorgan Ingmann Biradio.libsyn.com Instagram: @birp60406 Facebook: @blueislandradio If you’d like to support the show visit Patreon.com/blueislandradio
Brandon and AP Lindsay welcome back one of their favorite guests and DJs, Mr. Jason Berry. The last time Jason was on the show he played sets of Twee and Twee-Adjacent songs that were not available (to the best of his knowledge) on streaming sites like Spitofy or what-have-you) and this time he challenges Brandon to a duel of short songs. Who can play the shortest songs without mis-cueing, in the least amount of time. May the shortest set win! You will hear songs by Fuzzbox, The Judys, The Undertones, Dear Nora, Suburban Lawns, Sour Patch, The Meat Puppets, Toys That Kill, Half Japanese, Go Sailor and many more!   Vinyl Fridays Theme song by Dazzleflage      Apache by Jorgan Ingmann Biradio.libsyn.com Instagram: @birp60406 Facebook: @blueislandradio If you’d like to support the show visit Patreon.com/blueislandradio
On this week's episode of Vinyl Fridays Brandon & AP Lindsay are joined by The Ex-Bombers, Nancy & Kitty. Wether you call it "Beatnik Spy Jazz" or "Psychadelic Blues" The Ex-Bombers bring the noise and the fun. And today they bring an eccelctic selection of deepcuts and old favorites. But as Nancy said, "A good song is a good song" while Brandon plays some moldy old 45s that he wrestled from the clutches of an albino racoon.        Vinyl Fridays theme song by Dazzleflage Bed music: Apache by Jorgan Ingmann Biradio.libsyn.com Instagram: @birp60406 Facebook: @blueislandradio If you’d like to support the show visit Patreon.com/blueislandradio   The Ex-Bombers Links: https://www.youtube.com/@TheEx-Bombers http://exbombers.com/ https://www.instagram.com/theexbombers/ https://www.instagram.com/stories/grandpabroseph/3324001546545317686/
