Run With Endurance

In this episode, Daniel and Vicky, who are both runners, speak about the lessons learned in the discipline of running and how they can be directly applied to Sidewalk outreach.  The Bible has many verses that speak of running and use that analogy to describe how we can more effectively live the Christian life.  https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
The issue of undocumented immigrant moms coming to abortion centers is a growing challenge. Sidewalk Outreach Teams need to be prepared in how to effectively counsel and meet the needs of this group. In this podcast, we explore the unique obstacles these moms face and provide a comprehensive strategy in how to deal with this issue with compassion and truth. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
This episode is an inspiring time of relating true stories of when the Holy Spirit intercedes powerfully while we are ministering on the sidewalks of the abortion centers. His presence is sometimes miraculous words He brings to us, sometimes miraculous protection, sometimes gentle rebuking to guide us from self-righteousness to God-righteousness. This epsiode will encourage you to trust His power to equip and exhort.
God calls us to be holy as He is holy. This is true in every area of our lives but especially in ministry. In this episode, we explore the concept of walking in holiness as it pertains to sidewalk outreach and offer encouragement to those involved in this challenging ministry. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
We need to be prepared in season and out of season with biblical truth as 2 Timothy 4:2 reminds us. It is sometimes daunting to know what scripture best fits the issue you may face as you minister to abortion-determined women. Some people shrink back from using scripture at all. In this episode, we explore the critical necessity for scripture to break through that lead to abortion. We give practical advice on how to use the Bible effectively in dealing with common issues you may face. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
Many sidewalk outreach teams minister on the sidewalks of Planned Parenthood facilities. A large income source now for PP is transgender people seeking hormone therapy. While our primary interest is reaching abortion-determined women, we want to offer the hope of the Gospel and any tangible help we can to these people. In this episode, we offer some ideas for understanding the main issues transgender people face as well as some practical suggestions on how to offer help to them while on the sidewalk. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
In sidewalk outreach, we often hear the pro-abortion people taunting us with this question: “Don’t you have better ways to spend your time?” Sometimes, the struggle and lack of visible fruit are so significant that we even ask ourselves this question. In this episode, we answer this question with insights from Habakkuk. This passage can guide us in redirecting our focus when faced with discouragement and disappointment as we struggle to serve God well. https://sidewalks4life.com/dont-you-have-better-ways-to-spend-your-time/
Teen Abortion Risks

Teen Abortion Risks

2023-09-0728:58

Abortion is devastating under any circumstances, but the risks to teens are enormous and devastating. This episode examines some issues teens face following abortion, including increased suicide, depression, and post-traumatic stress disorder. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
Sometimes we feel that if we could find the one formula, that one thing we could do or have on the sidewalk, we could be more effective. In this episode, we examine the truth that effective sidewalk ministry is not a magic bullet but a process. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
Vicky and I have been doing a lot of traveling lately so we're re-running a few episodes. We hope this one is a blessing to you. As Christians, we are in a spiritual battle but that battle is at its fiercest at the abortion centers where innocent lives are destroyed. God has given us spiritual armor to help us in this intense battle. Join me as I teach through Ephesians 6:10-17 and how to put on the armor of God.
This is a rerun episode from 2020. An oldie but goodie. Any ministry can lead to burnout, especially an intense ministry like sidewalk outreach at an abortion center. In this episode, Vicky and Daniel discuss how to avoid burnout and keep from getting crispy. https://www.leadershipresources.org/blog/christian-ministry-burnout-prevention-signs-statistics-recovery/
We face adversity and often hostility when we speak for the unborn in front of an abortion center. The book of Acts gives practical advice on how to do this well, as we explore how Paul spoke to a hostile mob in Jerusalem. The points can guide us as we navigate the hostility of the people we minister to. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
The Unthinkable Sin

The Unthinkable Sin

2023-08-0328:45

In this episode, we deal with the issue of modern-day child sacrifice. We give Biblical guidance on how to speak scripturally about the horror of abortion, with examples from pagan practices regarding the shedding of innocent blood. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
We often see people who are fearful and hesitant to share or speak with us. Sometimes it is because they are in the country illegally and are afraid we will turn them over to authorities. In this episode, we share what we should do in these instances and how we can encourage them to trust us and choose life. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
A great strategy in counseling women who are determined to abort is to help them understand who they are and who they want to be. Often, these women and men are willing to examine the disconnect between who they are and who they want to be. In this episode, we explore how we can use that disconnect to guide them to a choice for life. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
This episode examines the contribution of pro-life pioneers who paved the way for us to minister more effectively today. We recount a brief history of the pro-life movement, with some advice on how to relate in an honoring way to those who may have used different tactics, but deserve our respect. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
Who Is Our Enemy?

Who Is Our Enemy?

2023-07-0631:14

In this episode, we explore the critical issue of disunity and how we sometimes wrongly use weapons to fight each other rather than unite against a common enemy. The podcast gives practical advice on how to proactively fight the battles we face as sidewalk outreach teams in a God-honoring, encouraging, and unifying way. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
We have very limited time to speak to the women we minister to on the sidewalks of abortion centers. Birth control is an important issue that we may need to address but it's not typically the best use of our time. In this episode, we discuss how to best talk about abortion control in sidewalk outreach ministry. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/
This is a highly contentious issue. Many devout Christians have strong feelings about the answer. Many have never really examined the core issue: are unborn humans people who deserve equal protection under the law? If so, should those who intentionally bring about their death be prosecuted? In this episode, we examine this complex issue from a Biblical and logical perspective. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j3X6eVWFqA
While we all may employ different strategies to prepare for our morning of sidewalk ministry, it is important to be intentional in preparation. That preparation needs to be practical, physical, emotional, and spiritual. In this episode, we outline some key ways to organize our time in the morning before ministry to be most effective and ready for the difficult battle ahead. https://sidewalks4life.com/equipping-articles/

oh no honey. pro-life yet show no concern about the children in foster care, the children in cages, and the children with unfit guardianship. sounds more like pro control. this is 2020 you can't decide what anyone does with their own body. me diagnosed with depression, anxiety, and bpd plan to never have a child and would choose abortion bc I know I'm an unfit mother. I wouldn't leave a child in foster care moving from broken home to broken home. never knowing what true love feels like causing them to have the same trauma I went through. the end.
