Description
Your fantasy world-building podcast What kind of city has walkable sewers? How does pirate democracy work? Why is there a brewery in every city? For every element of your fantasy world, there are a thousand questions you need answered, and that’s where we come in. Join Lachlan, Danae, and Tully as we over-research, over-think, and over-explain everything from city planning to funerals to the literal nuts and bolts of your world. We do the research, so you don’t have to! We examine real-world history, inner workings, and how to incorporate it into your game, and then we’ll build one ourselves. Tailored to tabletop RPGs, but we can be used for anything from fantasy writing to annoying monologues at parties. We’d love to hear what you’re using us for. Shoot us a message on Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram (@dungeondeepdive), or send us an email at deepdivetnc@gmail.com to tell us what you want us to deep dive next!

The first 20 sided die dates back to Ptolemaic Egypt, but people have been playing games a long time before our favourite polyhedron was born. It's another week of recording at home, and an edit shipped off to a fan with far more RAM than us (thanks Brooke). We take a snapshot of children's games, wander through some game theory, argue about the monty hall problem, and show you all the games the Buddha wouldn't play. While you're all trapped in your houses, please get in touch via our social pages @dungeondeepdive on facebook, twitter, and instagram, or email us at deepdivetnc@gmail.comUntil next time, keep playing games!Subscribe to us on ITUNES, STITCHER, SPOTIFY, RADIOPUBLIC or your podcatcher of choice.Find us on FACEBOOK, TWITTER or INSTAGRAM. Since people learned to cover their naughty bits, we've been using textiles! While we recorded from separate houses (and any one of us COULD have been working in the nude), it was a great chat about fabric throughout time. Tully coloured our days with talk of dyeing in various forms. Grace gave us a glittering account of what *might* be the golden fleece. And Lachlan talks us through cloth currency and how it worked in West Africa. While you're all trapped in your houses, please get in touch via our social pages @dungeondeepdive on facebook, twitter, and instagram, or email us at deepdivetnc@gmail.comIn Search of Forgotten Colour: https://youtu.be/7OiG-WjbCQASubscribe to us on ITUNES, STITCHER, SPOTIFY, RADIOPUBLIC or your podcatcher of choice.Find us on FACEBOOK, TWITTER or INSTAGRAM. This week, the gang are talking all about hair, and why that's important. Grace takes us through the history of hair care, and what sort of methods were used historically. Then Lachlan takes us through an insightful (if harrowing) look at the significance of hair and personhood (between 28:46 and 45:30), and Tully kicks off with a quick overview at how hair is used as a cultural signifier, for community, and for discrimination.Don't forget to give us a rate and review on your podcatcher of choice, and to get in touch!
