It's true - Francine had never seen ANY of the Harry Potter movies. She hadn't read a book, understood the story - nothing. Carrie on the other hand read all the books when they came out AND saw all of the movies. I have trouble deciding what to wear anywhere other than work. I'm a primary teacher, so I always know what to wear to work, but to social events, I always ask others what they are wearing. Yes, this includes packing for vacation too. I haven't been to WDW since 1999, so I can't speak on Disney, but yes it's difficult. It's also difficult traveling with someone else. My husband & I agree on what we are going to do before our vacation so that's not bad, but when I used to travel with friends before I was married, I had trouble packing because we didn't have our plans laid out. What if they wanted to go to a more formal place for dinner, spend all day at the beach etc, I had to be prepared for others options.
I have been on 2 cruises. One I was on had bunkbeds for the kids. I'm not sure about the other one as there were just 2 people in our room.
I had the same experience as you... I lived in SK & was flying to Denver to visit a friend. She was picking me up at the airport, so I didn't feel I needed to know where I was going...I was going to be with her. Well the border patrol asked where I was going...said I was going to visit a friend. He said I needed to give him an exact address as they didn't want "people like me (single teacher 🤦♀️) running loose in the US". He ended up calling my mom to get the address. Like you, I never traveled again without the address!
I'm just getting to this now. Carrie & I would have been BFFs in high school. We would have been the same when traveling to Vegas. I've been 7 times & never gambled. PS. I live in AB & we drive mostly everywhere. we have driven to Laa Vegas & California 3x.

What about Christopher Robin as non animal sidekick? Winnie the Pooh seems like it's mostly about animals, that's why I thought it. My favourite outfit is Jasmine's turquoise outfit!
Has Carrie seen the Lego Home Alone set? I want that one, but don't have much space to set it up.
I'm not a Marvel fan...I'm like you, know nothing about it. Once it came up in conversation with my husband. I called it Mar vell. He laughed!
I could really relate to Carrie & her penpal. When I was in grade 2, our class got paired up with a class from Newfoundland. I was in Saskatchewan. We wrote to each other each month & sometimes even sent each other small gifts. We have never met in person. I've kind of lost touch with her over the last few years. I had lots of fancy stationery! 😂 Sorry if this wasn't the podcast about Carrie's penpal. I was doing house work & listening to a couple in a row, so I don't remember if it was this one or not.
