Every time I think I'm humble, God shows me a new layer of pride He wants me to work on. The journey of sanctification doesn't stop until we meet Jesus. Until then, the Holy Spirit is still showing me ways I can be embracing self denial in my day-to-day life. Let's talk about 5 of them: Being obedient even when I don’t feel like it Spending time with Him, even if I don’t have anything to talk about Viewing work as worship, instead of dream-chasing Taking risks Making the most of where God has me (the HARDEST)   Tap in, and don't forget to share this episode with a friends you know needs it!   Interested in becoming a ministry partner of mine? Most men are living to prove themselves—chasing money, status, and validation—but it's a game they can never win. In this episode, we create space to talk honestly about male insecurity, something rarely addressed in men's programming. We break down the common areas where men feel insecure (money, looks, popularity) and explore what the Bible actually says about our worth and identity. The truth is: insecurities are bondage. And insecure men are unsafe. As men, we must turn to the only perfect man there's ever been if we seek freedom. Today we'll cover: Why most insecurities stem from not knowing who you are and why you matter What the Bible says about money, looks, and popularity How insecurity leads to sinful and destructive behavior The choice between living for God's approval or the world's validation Reflection questions to help you identify and address your insecurities If you've ever felt like you're constantly trying to prove yourself, this episode is for you. It's time to stop playing the game and find your worth in Christ.   Read: Luke 12:15, 1 Samuel 16:6–7, Luke 16:14-15   Please consider donating to UN-ASSOCIATED and helping our team fuel our mission to help people cultivate their identity in Christ: https://www.un-associated.com/donate/
Have you ever worked so hard for something, get it, and not be as happy as you thought you would? I HATE when that happens. The world conditions us to chase after goals and accolades in hopes of satisfying that whole in our hearts. But things never seem to pay off. This is one reason why the idea of being satisfied in the Lord always intrigued me. The only problem is that this sounded so unrealistic to me...until now.   Read: Psalm 27:4, Proverbs 27:20, Jeremiah 2:13   Please consider donating to UN-ASSOCIATED and helping our team fuel our mission to help people cultivate their identity in Christ: https://www.un-associated.com/donate/   Get tickets for UN-ASSOCIATED's Friendsgiving in LA on November 8th  here.   Let's connect!! Though the Church is meant to embody unity in Christ, it has housed racial division for much of its history. Conversations about race are quickly shut down in the name of preserving comfort or a superficial sense of unity. It seems Black Christians, in particular, are frequently accused of “idolizing their race” whenever they speak about their racialized experiences. But does this kind of avoidance truly promote unity—or does it cause deeper harm? What place does race, ethnicity and culture have in the Kingdom of God? Should we ever mention them? We serve a God that isn't always clear with us. We pray for clarity and signs of confirmation. Sometimes we get it. Other times it seems like we are left hanging. What do we do then? Do we be still and wait for more clarity? For how long? Do we even need more clarity? Are we being careful or are we being cowards? Let's talk about it.   Read: Genesis 26:1–24   Please consider donating to UN-ASSOCIATED and helping our team fuel our mission to help people cultivate their identity in Christ: https://www.un-associated.com/donate/   Learn more about my personal ministry vision and support here!

From MAGA culture to church scandals, the reputation of the Church is in the gutter and the image of Christianity in America is in crisis. Instead of making disciples, it seems the American Church has made more apostates than ever. In this episode, I talk about what it really means to represent Christ well in a time when faith is often confused with politics, hate, and hypocrisy. Instead of staying silent, Believers who see the issue have a responsibility to show the world who Jesus really is—through our love, our compassion, and how we treat others. This is a call to action to every believer. Are you tired of falling off in your relationship with God? You start strong, but then you slip up, and the shame hits hard. You know you should be spending time with God, but guilt makes you feel unworthy to even try. If that’s you, this episode is for you. In today’s episode, Emmanuel breaks down why staying consistent with God is so difficult—and how it relates to our sinful nature and the shame we carry. More importantly, he shares how to break the cycle of inconsistency by shifting your mindset: Intimacy > Routine. You’ll learn: Why shame is one of the biggest threats to your spiritual growth How to stop expecting perfection and start pursuing God more honestly Practical tips for reconnecting with God and making Him a real part of your everyday life Consistency with God doesn’t start with trying harder—it starts with needing Him more. Being a Christian can be challenging when personal ambitions conflict with serving God. Sometimes our ambition aligns with God's will, promoting true spiritual growth, while other times it leads us astray. Have you ever been frustrated with God for not giving you what you feel like you deserve? You've been good all week, or year. You've been serving faithfully and enduring hardship, but your breakthrough hasn't come and your bank account is empty. In this episode of Churchboy Confessions, I ask the hard question: What does it mean to be the 'Christian choice' in politics? No, this isn't a political podcast show. However, as Christian nationalism seems to gain momentum in America, we believers need to have a talk about the difference between alt-right, conservative nonsense and true Christianity. Today, spiritual manipulation, political pandering, and misplaced endorsements are corrupting the Church and damaging our witness — especially among young Christians.  If you're wrestling with how to navigate faith in a polarized political climate, this conversation will challenge you to rethink what it truly means to follow Jesus over any political agenda.   Thank you for watching the episode! Many men today feel like they’re not enough—like their worth is tied to success, money, or how much they can provide. And when we aren't winning in one of these areas we begin to feel like we're worthless. In this sermon, we dive into what the Bible actually says about your identity, worth, and manhood. Whether you’re feeling lost, unmotivated, or just tired of the pressure to "have it all together," this message will remind you that God called you valuable long before you were “useful.”  While this episode is centered around men, this message if for everyone.     Thank you for watching the episode! I got laid off.

I got laid off.

"Man plans and God laughs." It's a popular saying to explain those moments in life when God completely shakes things up, or allows them to fall apart. In this episode of the pod, my 10-month hiatus comes to an end with a story of how I got laid off last April, my call to full-time ministry, and the journey of humility I've had to walk with God ever since. What do you do when God allows a shake up in your life? How do you respond when His call challenges your reputation in the eyes of others?   Thank you for watching the episode! Let's connect!! Let's face it, we've all fell down the rabbit hole of an end time conspiracy at some point in our lives by now. Or maybe instead of a conspiracy, we sat through the a false teacher or prophet preaching a whole lotta of anti-biblical nonsense. Realistically, we will never be able to escape with the frenzy of conspiracies, false prophecies and heresies that drop every week on the internet. Nevertheless, it's important that we not be deceived, and the Word of God is here to guide us through all the lies and deception.   Read: Ephesians 4:11–15 (NKJV)   Resources for Reading the Bible https://www.gotquestions.org/ - Great for Bible questions https://www.blueletterbible.org/ - Get original Hebrew & Greek definitions to words used in english translations. https://www.bibleref.com/ - Get explanations on tough Bible verses https://courses.dts.edu/ - Free Bible courses from my seminary school
