We went into this week saying, if the Reds split these two series, we’ll be thrilled. They did exactly that and we’re thrilled. They let the Phillies fall on their own sword with their defensive miscues, including an inside the park home run from Noelvi Marte. Then the Reds welcomed Milwaukee and picked up the Phillies defensive miscues. They had opportunities to take the first two games against the hottest team in baseball. Instead, they stopped their winning streak at 14 and took them down in an extra innings thriller. We also talk about Hunter Greene's return, Andrew Abbott's dominance, Miguel Andujar reigning this week, Jake Fraley shown the door, the 2022 trade and if it's panned out, Chase Burn's "injury" and what's going on with McLain at the dish. As always the show is brought to you by Cincy Light, the flavor of Cincinnati. This week, the Boys all reconvene after their travels across the globe. We breakdown the week that was for our Redlegs, taking two out of three in Chicago and splitting with the vaunted Pirates in Pittsburgh. Nick Martinez reigned this week and we ask the big question, will he be the reason the Reds climb the mountain and make it to the playoffs this season? We also look at Littell's debut and not so great follow up outing, Nick Lodolo's blister problem and wonder if it's related to the curveball, Noelvi Marte's hot bat, Jake gives his take on the trade deadline, how the rotation will shake out with Hunter Greene returning, who will get the call to come up and give innings to this Reds bullpen and how much longer will Chase Burns be in this rotation with his innings limit. Ke'Bryan Hayes will definetly sure up 3rd but will he find his swing again? Can Zack Little continue his newfound success in a Reds uniform? Will Miguel Andújar be better than Connor Joe? Were these moves enough to take out the Padres who made all of the moves? All of these questions and more will be answered!
