They discuss multiple topics from their favorite sections of the race, how their own race played out to even their pit and nutrition strategy. It is always nice to hear from the current champs on some of these things most of us never get to hear.

Racing season in 2022 is finally upon us. In this episode we cover the Klondike that occurred last week along with the racing down in Texas and preview some of the upcoming races in New England/New York. With Rebecca Davis and Ryan Matthews co-hosting the episode with Kevin Olson and return guest Kaitlin Mynar we discuss the upcoming season that we are all very excited about.
In this episode Rebecca and Bill talk with the Texas paddlers Cecili Bugge and Kaitlin Mynar about racing in Texas. They discuss the various topics around the Texas Water Safari, and differences in canoe racing in Texas compared to other states. They also discuss racing as women, and the differences that they see and how the community as a whole is helping to support growing participation s from women in the sport. This is a great conversation with some seriously talented paddlers that you should not miss.
In this Episode we had guest Alex Bordeleau from Canada on to talk about the differences and similarities between Rabaska and what we refer to marathon canoe (C2 and C1). It was an interesting conversation about a sport that has gained popularity in Canada but not in the US. We talk about attempts that have been made to bring this to the US in the past and also how Rabaska has been a great feeder sport to the traditional C2 marathon in especially Quebec. Rabaska featured event International Classique which is the 3rd leg of the Triple Crown of Canoe Racing.

In our first of 2 post-ARCM episodes we have a very "shop talk" conversation with the reigning AuSable River Canoe Marathon Champions and record holders Jorden Wakeley and Matt Meersman. We talk on a ton of different topics from choosing the boat based on the seats, to paddle lengths, all the way to what happens when you gotta go. Truly a great episode with some great open-book champions. Very happy that we were able to have these guys on the show and wish them all the best in the years to come.
