Funny that you conveniently skipped the simplest rules Jesus made about how much the church and state should be intertwined: "Render up unto Caesar what is Caesar's, and render up unto God what is God's." Jesus explicitly delineated a separation of the state and the church. This is exactly why you guys need to stop preaching at everyone - you're dishonest in just about every way, and you're not as convincing as you think you are. Atheists often read the Bible, too.
I don't understand why Christians spend SO MUCH time obsessing about and trying to control other people's private lives - especially when so many Christians currently in the public sphere are blatant hypocrites. No one wants to hear your moralizing; we all know where to go if we want to find Jesus. Stop sticking your noses where they don't belong and where they aren't welcome, and keep your judgment and condemnation in your church. Just leave everyone ALONE.
