Midnight Drive-In

We are wrapping up Doug’s Universal Halloween Horror Month with two of the biggest films in the library. First up, a man fights off a werewolf, only to discover he has now been cursed to become one in THE WOLFMAN. Then, Frankenstein’s Monster has risen from the grave with the help of Larry Talbot in FRANKENSTEIN MEETS THE WOLFMAN.

We are back with our usual Halloween tradition of providing you with a scary movie commentary. What better time to celebrate Scream than by doing one for its 30th Anniversary! We sit down and talk about all the things we love about this movie and all the things that made Noah hate it. Sync up your copy with us and let’s go!

In this episode, we’re looking at two films where Claude Raines hides himself behind a mask. First up, Claude Raines injects himself with chemicals and turns invisible. He hides himself wrapped in bandages in THE INVISIBLE MAN. Then, Claude Raines gets acid thrown in his face. So of course he hides behind a mask and tries to get revenge on the people who wronged the leading lady in PHANTOM OF THE OPERA.

We’re looking at two movies this week that have monsters that turn on their creators. And also befriend a dog. First up, Lon Chaney Jr. gets a jolt as he is electrified over and over again in MAN MADE MONSTER. Then, a death row inmate gets his brain transferred to a gorilla to get his revenge in THE MONSTER AND THE GIRL.

We hit the beach, and in this episode, we are checking out our favorite amphibian. First up, we discover a monster hand and realize there are gill-men in our waters with CREATURE FROM THE BLACK LAGOON. Then, we check out the less good but still enjoyable sequel with REVENGE OF THE MONSTER.
