Join me and Brandon Ruiz of @yucayekefarms for a digital workshop on Healing from Grief through Herbs and Astrology.
All funds raised will be sent to Badr's Family Fund to evacuate their family from Gaza to Egypt. You can read more details or donate directly at tinyurl.com/BadrsFund
In this class we will discuss grief and grieving from the viewpoint of an herbalist and astrologer. This digital 3-hour workshop will cover plants native to Palestine as well as many others used for grief and grieving and we will discuss the astrology behind these plants and the medicines they bring us.
I will start by discussing some psychology concepts about how we relate to others, focusing on a sense of belonging versus separation. Then, I will discuss my personal experience with age and other people's projections toward me. I will conclude by bringing up Lama Rod Owens, a black queer Buddhist teacher, and his teachings around love and rage, as well as Tibetan Buddhist teachings about the illusory nature of phenomena.

Connecting to both the cosmos and the Earth, through your body. Calming healing meditation.
Slowly bring awareness and grounding to your body through this guided body scan. An exercise to help create safety, space, and awareness in your body. A somatic tool for self-use to help with dissociation.
