SEASON 2 FINAL EPISODE! 1 year ago (tomorrow) I launched season 2 of What Nik Knows. It was formally known as Leader of the Pax and I solely focused on female entrepreneurship. 45 episodes later (40 live and 5 saved for season 3 launch!) the 2nd season of my podcast expanded more than I could ever have imagined. Beyond downloads, came new clients, new partnerships, and oh SO MUCH LEARNING! When I started BMB I made a real effort in providing resources for pregnant, postpartum, and newish moms because we were in smack dap in the middle of quarantine. So the podcast become an educational and inspirational space for mothers, entrepreneurs, and personal development junkies. We focused on mental, physical, and emotional health, relationships, parenting, and identity and purpose. We cried and laughed and damn did we grow. Today on the What Nik Know's Podcast I celebrate the 40th and final episode of the 2nd season. The theme of today's show is all about doing less and being more and that's the mentality I'll be taking with me as I hibernate before season 3 launch. Beyond that I talk about the different guests we've had and topics we've covered throughout the year and dang am I grateful to have had these incredible people on the show! I want to thank you for helping me grow this podcast. Because of you we are just about to hit 5,000 downloads which is a huge feat in itself. I produced many of these episodes with out childcare and nearly all of them without any production management help. Until next season, ciao!

Raise your hand if you struggle or have struggled with your body image? Yeah, that's what I thought. A whole lot of us struggle with this. Women are critiqued on their bodies right from the get-go. Too thin, too big, too soft, too muscular, too sexualized, too puritan… there is no win. Today on the What Nik Know's podcast I have the amazing @mollykatewellness who is a Body Image mentor.   Molly is a Body Image Coach and Mentor who believes that you can learn the skills of radical body acceptance in any body size. She loves watching people discover their inherent worthiness and step into the confident life they are meant for! Molly started coaching as a Certified Health Coach finding her niche in Intuitive Eating. Very quickly she discovered that food wasn't the root of the problem. She found that underneath that layer of food obsession, was an unhealthy relationship to our bodies. Molly's approach combines improving your body image through your head, your heart, and your body. She believes that everyone has all the tools they need within themselves and that each person has their own unique gifts and intuition to uncover! Molly believes that the more people there are being unapologetically themselves, the stronger we are as a whole! I relate to this so much- food isn't the problem, it's the way I see myself. I've shared on previous shows that body image and my relationship with food has been an ever changing and evolving relationship and I loved learning from Molly today. Here are some of the amazing things you'll hear on today's show: The difference between mindful eating and intuitive eating How orthorexia shows up as healthy eating habits American women and body image How social media impacts our body image and what to do about it Breaking the belief system that our bodies are the only thing valuable about us How to teach children about a healthy body image right from the start How to set internal and external boundaries If its OK to lose weight or just love yourself as you are Diet culture BS Make sure to follow and connect with Molly at : mollykatewellness@gmail.com, www.mollykatewellness.com and her instagram account @mollykatewellness
Personal development is not a Tony Robbins seminar… as much as you'd like to think so. Today on the What Nik Know's pod I go unscripted + unfiltered about my thoughts on personal development exertion. We spend thousands of dollars and years doing THE WORK when really we need to do less WORK and more listening in. Seminars, coaching, podcasts, books, all these things are tools to empower the journey but they aren't the answer. Personal development is not a seminar- it's within you. For more on this email me: nikki@leaderofthepax.com or instagram @dr_nikkiphd.

Are you the kind of entrepreneur that opens your computer and is unsure what to do for work everyday? This tends to happen when the big picture is still being worked out. This can also happen when you go into a client lull. Today on the What Nik Knows Podcast I am teaching my 4c Framework that I share with my coaching clients. I love my 4 c framework because it helps move you forward- it gives you tangible steps to take in your business…every single day. Another reason why I l teach my 4C Framework is because it helps keep your client pipeline full which equates to serving more clients + more dollassss in your bank account. The 4 c's stand for: Collaborations, Conversations, Clients, and Content In order to keep a full client pipeline - you must first learn where your clients are coming from once you know that then you can begin to fill in the 4c's. These 4 C's will always be in play- but some might be more than others depending on what you have going on. To learn more on how to implement these c's in your business make sure to go download my newest episode live on iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcasts, + iheartradio! Link in bio!

Welcome back to the What Nik Knows Podcast! I'm your host Dr. Nikki Sammet and you're about to listen to my most cherished episode ever! I recorded an episode with my husband, Jarrod! We've been talking about this the entire time I've had my podcast - that we should record our conversations and While our son snoozed soundly away we recorded an episode together and today is the day you finally get to hear one of them. As you'll hear today, Jarrod, is a very special person and I'm not just saying that because he's my husband. He's an incredible father, leader, and friend. His philosophy on life is so profound so grab your notebooks and get ready to write things down. I guarantee you'll ask yourself, "is this guy always so positive?" And to answer the question, YES…yes he is. I should have known that my husband would wear multiple hats in our life… my parents were the same growing up. Therapists, parents, friends, etc. That's what Jarrod is for me- he's all the things. Husband, father, best friend, coach, partner, inspiration, guide, and so much more. I've had the honor of watching him blossom into himself over the past 10 years and it's been such a gift. Jarrod is currently a Director of Operations at Insight Global, a Professional Services organization, where he has spent the last 9.5 years of his career. He is currently in the midst of a transition to Managing Director of Culture and Leadership Strategy where he will focus on culture change and leadership development under the building blocks of Emotional Intelligence and Personal Development. Jarrod has been in leadership the past 8 years, is a practitioner of Transcendental Meditation (TM), and has taught Mindfulness and Personal Development practices within his organization. He lives in Encinitas, CA with his wife of 5.5 years Nikki, his 15 month old son Jake, and dog Pax. Jarrod's core philosophy centers around taking care of yourself first before you can take care of others and the world around you.   Here's a few things you'll hear on today's episode: How to support your partner while going through postpartum How to create more balance in relationships through communication What steps to take in order to improve your communication skills Why putting yourself first is the important and SELFLESS thing you'll ever do What the mental load looks like in men An inside look into Transcendental Meditation and how it can be a gateway into personal development AND SO. MUCH. MORE. This episode is LIVE on iTunes, Spotify, Google Podcasts, and iHeartRadio! Jarrod is never on instagram but you can connect with him on Linkedin if you have additional questions you'll like to ask him about. I'd love to hear your thoughts on toady's episode so please rate + share with your friends!
What's your take on manifestation? Believer or nah? On today's episode of the What Nik Know's podcast I'm going to share with you my perspective on manifesting and 8 steps that you can start doing today! I believe manifesting is a mindset…a way of being.. a way of living. It's your thought process. It's what and how you envision your life unfolding. And let me tell you this- it's a choice. If you're not familiar with this term it's basically the idea of bringing something tangible into your life through attraction and belief…like if you put it out there it will come to fruition There are so many different ways to manifest - some people do it through meditation others through visualization or just your conscious or subconscious. For a long time I though this was bull shit. Until things I kept thinking about came true. And signs kept showing up around me once I picked something (I'm a big sign girl) Like the house we live in now. I wrote everything down on a post it and a few months later it appeared. Of course it wasn't PERFECT. (Because that doesn't exist) and exactly what I had in my head but shit it came pretty damn close. Or my husband. I found an old journal from 7th grade at my parents house. I flipped it open and landed on a page called "My dream boy"…and it event had the name "Jared" on the list. Last week I had a meeting that I have been drumming up for YEARS. I remember the first time I thought about this collaboration happening. How I felt when I was asked, how I'd respond, the exact verbiage they would use when speaking to me and I kid you not I had that meeting last week and it went exactly how I had experienced it in my head. THAT IS MANIFESTING. Manifesting does NOT mean that if you think positively it will appear tomorrow or that you're not allowed to have bad days. It doesn't mean that if you create a vision board it's automatically going to come true. It doesn't mean if you wish for it tonight it will come true tomorrow.  So here are my 8 steps to you on how to start manifesting your dream life: Start a meditation and/or mindfulness practice Journal (grab the 5 minute journal if you're new too journaling) Write a "wish list" about that specific thing Find your thinking place (aka your inspirational place) mine is walking or driving with music (not lately in the car because I have cocomelon on repeat) Feel all the things about what you envision…the way you feel, how you're dressed, who's around you etc.  Add as many details as you can. Don't try to imagine exactly how the thing or outcome becomes yours; instead focus solely on the end result of recieving what you desire. Listen you can spend all day day dreaming but if you don't take action then it's not going to happen. Start taking small actions towards your dream. Address your limiting beliefs  And of course- trust the process. TRUST THE PROCESS. Trust that life is working for you. Trust that it is unfolding just as it's suppose to. Want to start a conversation about manifesting? Or if you're struggling to stay accountable to the visions you want to achieve contact me @dr_nikkiphd or at nikki@leaderofthepax.com
I am OBSESSED with today's podcast episode with Jen and Brandyn from @ParentTeam. We covered so many topics & the biggest theme through it all was about partnerships- both business and personal. Jen & Brandyn lay out key factors that can make or break relationships and how to set yourself up for success! Here are some of the other things we talked about: 1. Parenting from two homes 2. How our past influences our parenting 3. Why conflict begins after we have children 4. The keys to success in building a long lasting and powerful partnership both in marriage and in business 5. The value of communication and how to talk with one another especially around uncomfortable topics There is no guidebook on how to navigate these things, how to create boundaries, how to be real with one another. Parent Team has an online course that provides courses for parents to help get on the same page, no matter if they are parenting from one home or two. Jen & Brandyn believe that when people are given the skills and tools for difficult challenges in life, both they and their children are better equipped. I love their mission, so I HAD to share it with you today. Head over to iTunes or wherever you get your podcasts and check out today's episode of What Nik Knows... I promise this is one that you WON'T want to miss! Their contact info: brandyn@parentteam.com jen@parentteam.com www.parentteam.com and mindmattersbrc.com

How social media usage and experience depends on both current state of mind and life fulfillment 3. The dopamine impact 4. Ways to own your tech instead of letting it own you 5. Today on the What Nik Knows podcast we will be discussing The Three Sisters: Perfectionism, Procrastination, and Imposter Syndrome. Why do I call them sisters? Because I see them as a family. The three of them share many many many characteristics and once you can determine where your behavior is coming from- meaning the deeper issues at hand -you can start to make progress towards the goals you want to achieve. All three of these sisters block us from leveling up. Today I am going to be sharing insight on all three of the areas while also giving you tips and support on how to beat them in your day to day life! Some take aways from today's episode: 1. Procrastination is an emotional regulation problem not a time management one 2. Procrastinatory cognitions lead to greater distress and MORE procrastination 3. There are 3 domains of perfectionism 4. We often pivot once we realize that things are too hard or we "failed" 5. How can perfectionism be a good thing 6. Women suffer from imposter syndrome more than men 7. What is imposter syndrome 8. Oh boy talk about getting lucky! Today's episode is a POT OF GOLD! Today on the What Nik Knows Podcast I have the AMAZING @bysamanthadawn. This episode was phenomenal and unbelievably important. This incredible style queen emphasis that style is WITHIN and teaches us how to dress our beautiful postpartum body. Anyone else struggle to find clothes to fit your new bod? Anyone else have $1,000 dollars worth of clothing returns sitting in your house? Anyone else walk into TJ Maxx do a lap around the racks but not sure what to try on, put together, or what looks good? Samantha Eugino is a pro when it comes to not only styling your post baby body but how to find style that fits WHO YOU ARE & HOW YOU WANT TO FEEL!
