Being a photographer today can sometimes feel like being a grain of sand on a crowded beach.
How do you stand out?
Well – you can cut through the noise.
See, most photographers do the same thing, so it’s no wonder they blend in with each other. But they’re not the ones reading this email. They haven’t raised their hand to learn how to be strategic about their positioning.
They’re on autopilot. Not you, though. That’s why you’re destined for greatness.
You’ll learn the 5 brand differentiators and how to craft a client-focused value proposition.
Be consistent – Stop chasing every shiny trend. Be a rock of consistency instead with an established, unique style and approach. Let your clients know you’re solid – every time.
Talk their language – Stop speaking at your clients; talk to them! Create a sense of connection and understanding, and they’ll feel like you’re able to “get” them better than anyone else.
Unleash your unique spark – Learn to answer the question “What makes me different?” in just 3 sentences and then put that everywhere.
The power of happy clients – Chat with your top 5 clients and find out their worries, how you made magic happen, and what they loved most. Then share their stories like confetti everywhere!
People skills that rock – Have you read “How to Win Friends and Influence People” by Dale Carnegie? If not, dive in! Learn to build rapport and connections like a pro.

Photographers who approach AI with unrealistic expectations or blind adoption may unknowingly sabotage their own creativity, client trust, and long-term business success. In this episode of the Business of Photography Podcast, we break down how AI is changing the industry and what smart photographers are doing to stay ahead.
From AI editing tools to automated workflows, artificial intelligence can absolutely support your business—but only if used strategically and ethically. Today, clients value authenticity more than ever. Photographers who overuse or misrepresent AI in their work risk losing that trust.
That’s why it’s important to maintain your creative voice, understand the limitations of AI, and use tools that support (not replace) your artistry.
Looking to automate the right way? Sprout Studio’s built-in automation tools help you save time while keeping your client experience personal and branded.

The post Photographers who look at AI this way will fail – how to avoid the pitfalls appeared first on Sprout Studio.
If you're looking for ways to optimize your productivity and build a successful photography business, incorporating a weekly schedule is key.
Do you often wonder how some photographers seem to be super productive while you struggle to stay on top of your tasks? The good news is that productivity isn't a superpower that some people have and others don't. Decades of research have shown that there are proven ways to boost your productivity and get more done in less time.
That's where the Winning Week Formula comes in - it's the answer to consistent productivity and success for photographers. Are you ready to win your week with an optimized weekly schedule?
The Winning Week Formula is simple: O + R + F = WIN!
Create Order
Establish Rhythm
Allow Focus
By following this formula, photographers will learn how to build a perfect week and make it a repeatable template for every month and year. You'll also learn how to get more done in less time, how to "shut off" work and gain balance between your work life and your personal life.
The Photographer’s Winning Weekly Schedule
We like to think of the Winning Week Formula as a pyramid:
Order is the foundation of WHAT you should do
Rhythm determines WHEN you should do it
Focus shows HOW it can be done
Designing your weekly schedule starts with Order. It is essential to identify the WHAT:
what tasks are most important to you?
what are your priorities?
what are your time-wasters?
This information forms the foundation of your winning week by providing direction and purpose to your efforts. Once you have a clear understanding of what you need to do, the next step is determining WHEN you need to do it.
Rhythm involves considering your work schedule, energy levels, and personal routines, to find the WHEN:
when do you work best?
when are you most focused?
when are you more social?
Finally, Focus is what ties everything together. By combining "what" and "when", you can develop a plan for HOW to make the most of each day and achieve your goals. This requires discipline, dedication, and a steadfast commitment to success.
It is crucial to follow the Winning Week Formula's sequence of what, when, then how - when planning your weekly schedule or it may be disorganized and ineffective. But don't worry, you're in good hands. We will walk you through each component step-by-step in The Winning Week Formula Workbook.
In the end, you'll not only have a complete list of all your whats, whens, and hows, but you'll have a winning week tailored to you! Helping you to achieve greater productivity, focus, and success in both your personal and professional life.
Download the Free Workbook!
Each chapter of the Winning Week Formula Workbook takes all of these concepts and puts them into motion. Thus, taking the words and then taking the action!
Because "well done is better than well said" - Benjamin Franklin.
With each activity section, we will build your weekly schedule from the ground up, paying attention to every detail that matters for your business's success (and your livelihood). And by the end, you will be left with YOUR custom ideal week!
But – to get the most out of the Winning Week Formula, thoroughly read each chapter. This guide is more than just a string of theories; these are fundamental strategies that will equip you with a new toolbox of knowledge to apply throughout your business.
Answer honestly! This is to benefit YOU and YOUR business. The more honest you are, the better you will design your winning week.
So what are you waiting for? Download your FREE copy of the Winning Week Formula and get ready to start winning in your photography business!

Great episode, let's not forget who can provide keepsakes and treasured memories for people! As photographers we have a unique ability to capture images and films of those who are taken before their time – what's the first thing people look for when they lose a loved one? We can be a very valuable service to people and stop time, if only for a moment.
Confused about the comments regarding the political implications of multicultural representation. Do people really have that much of a problem with reality that they can't see the world as it actually is? Imagine being a pet photographer, but only shooting Dalmatians simply because you own one... 🙄
Adam is awesome. Love how he's so focused. Personally I've jumped around careers a lot too, but they've all informed where I am today. You can always look at following different paths as A/B testing, which is better than banging your head mindlessly 😊
Great points. Ever since Insta required accounts to have at least 10k followers to get the swipe up feature, the platform has been stuck in this weirdly incestuous follow-back loop. Really crazy to think that in the course of a year or two it completely changed.
