I never left. Unfortunately for you, I am very much still here ;)
On this episode of Spicy Memories, I talk with Sam from Calamity The Kid.  Calamity the Kid is a California-based band. Their new single "All Of My Friends Will Die In The End" (linked below) border on Alt-Pop. With steady beats that keep you going and catchy melodies, I'm slowly finding this song especially just embedded in my brain, catching my self whistling the chorus while living my daily life.  Sam has been a friend for well over 20 years and I am so excited I finally got him on.  Follow Calamity the Kid!!  Spotify: https://open.spotify.com/artist/0Ii1l... On this episode of Spicy Memories, Captain Cook aka Spice Daddy rants about Ghost Kitchens, plant-based mentality, eco-friendly opportunities, etc. It's almost as if this dumbass woke up and was like, "Let me make a solo show about a BUNCH of stuff I have no business talking about as an authority. THAT WILL GET LISTENERS FOR SURE. What a fu**ing dummy.
Ashley Lanna returns for a FOURTH guest spot on Spicy Memories! Ashley is the host of Lullaby: The Fear Podcast, and while she joins me as we streamed on Instagram live, we discuss podcasting, what goes into it, anxieties that come along with it, and tips for those wanting to start one! Cover art by Ashley Lanna. Opening song: Something Else - ShortBus
It's me children, just me. Spice Daddy Solo (my new stage name) comin at you from an undisclosed location.  We talk authenticity again, being brave with recipes, jigsaw puzzle cookers, and of course, I find a way to insult AT LEAST a few different categories of people.  Intro music is my old band, ShortBus.  Song: Take a Ride Mixed and mastered by Kevin Legall (he also does that crazy guitar solo)
In this edition of S P I C Y  M E M O R I E S, I sit down with Tara. Tara is a podcast host, an avid runner, and is the curator of endless beautiful stories from her show "Adopted Babies from China". She sits down with adoptees who tell their stories. Tara agreed to come on my show, which made me extremely happy. I am in a constant search for knowledge of things that I have been ignorant to my entire life.  Listen to Tara's show! https://linktr.ee/adoptedbabiesfromchinapod Adopted Babies from China is available on Spotify, Google, Apple Podcasts and Audible.
In this episode, I sit down with someone who has one of the most visually pleasing pages I have come across in a very long time. Phil from @PairedPints makes recipes, pairs the food with craft beer, and has endless golden nuggets of reviews and recipes and food porn. We talk about desert island beers, pairing beer, Star Wars and The Book of Boba Fett, and 90,000 other topics as we go on beautiful tangents.  IG: @pairedpints www.pairedpints.com
On this episode of Spicy Memories, I sit down with someone who has one of my all-time favorite voices. Alyssa aka Pebs runs a podcast called Peb Talks. A show that is constantly reminding me to stop talking as much sh*t about myself as I usually do. Her goal is to spread positivity and if she can get someone like me to talk positively, she's doing something right. Instagram: @peb.talks @pebs1077 www.pebtalks.com
In this episode, I sit down with someone I have wanted to talk to for a VERY long time. Hope Johnson is a professional chef, a musician, an avid athlete AND a director for Also Known As, Inc. An organization that helps adoptees connect with their home culture and heal the disconnect.  IG: @hopeeatsnyc @queenscountyroots @also.known.asinc
Why my life is like a malfunctioning Chia pet and how Bruce Springsteen is kind of a dick.  In this episode, I sit down with Kyle Seip. Kyle has made cast iron is life. He restores, sells, and spins out more knowledge and expertise in the area than the rest of us could only hope for. We talk about how he grew into cast iron, about food and pizza (deep dish is covered), about being a social media influencer, and also.....how Bruce Springsteen is kind of a dick.  IG: @castiron_kyle www.castironkyle.com Kyle's linktree: https://linktr.ee/Castiron_kyle
I was locked in isolation away from the world for 10 days. And now, UNFORTUNATELY FOR ALL OF YOU, I am allowed back into society. Here's my take on 2022 and why "new year new me" is total bullshit.
On this beautiful episode, I sit down with one of my favorite social media cooks EVER. The difference is, Hanaeli Souza is ACTUALLY a cook. Currently, a sous chef, to be exact. We talk about life on the line, the rush, the multi-tasking, the ways to navigate how to be a supervisor at a young age, AND her book "Nice Work, Boys!" which is available below! https://www.ladylinecook.com/get-the-book.html IG - @LadyLineCook Twitter: @TheLadyLineCook

It's just me, kids. So, you ready to talk? Too bad.  Music: ShortBus - Take a Ride
A few months back, Ella Mitchell took her belongings (and her dog Chef) and moved from Los Angeles to Mexico City. As astounding as doing that so quickly is in itself, it's even more astounding how quickly she allowed herself to be immersed into Mexico City life. Her TikTok and Instagram combined show literally hundreds of thousands of people weekly what it is really like to live in Mexico City. She is not a tourist, she gives real prices, she does honest reviews, and she is forever looking for a decent fried chicken sandwich down there.  As an added bonus, she's incredibly smart and fucking hilarious.  Follow Ella everywhere:  Instagram: @eatinwithella TikTok: @eatinwithella www.eatinwithella.com
Felix is a Pizza Producer on the First We Feast YouTube show "Pizza Wars"! He is also the owner and operator of Happy Bull Pizza based out of Long Island City. Felix and I met about 10 years ago when he was a sound engineer, recording my band ShortBus (from the intro). We talk about life on set of Pizza Wars, what pizza means in relation to family in NY, and Dank and Rank PIZZA EDITION! Grace has worked in Aquatics for years, now the Aquatics Director of the Carver Center in Port Chester, NY. BUT, in this episode, we speak about the aquatics of one's TUMMY. That's right. We get fucking juicy. Grace has started a juice business with a partner called Pousoir Juice Bar, which focuses on all-around well-being. We talk about how to juice without a juicer, mental and physical health, and everything in-between.  Pousoir IG + TikTok : @PousoirJuiceBar Grace's IG: @_oldgreggy
