Madeleine Black has an unusual personal story which she uses to inspire and motivate others. She chose to forgive the two men who gang raped her at thirteen years old and she shares her story for many reasons.
She wants to end the shame, stigma and silence surrounding sexual violence enabling others to find their voice, whatever their story is. She wants people to know that it’s not what happens to us that is important but what we do with it. She will show how changing her mindset tapped into her resilience and transformed her life, making people question their own thinking and encouraging them to see that there are always choices to make, and if we choose to, we can get past anything that happens to us in life both professionally and in our personal life. She wants to encourage others to live their life courageously too; but ultimately she wants to inspire hope and show people that we are all so much stronger than we think we are.
The sharing of her story publicly on The Forgiveness Project’s website in September 2014, opened many doors for Madeleine in ways she never imagined, and the invitations started to pour in. Many women and men got in contact and explained how reading her story gave them strength, hope, and a different perspective of what’s possible in their lives. She has taken part in both TV and radio interviews and has been invited to share her story of being gang raped as a teenager at conferences, book events, schools etc. She recognises that she was a victim of a crime that left her silent for many years but has now found her voice and intends to use it. Not just for her, but for so many who can’t find theirs yet.
In March 2018 she won the Amazing Strength award at the No. 1 Magazine Amazing Women Awards and in October of the same year was asked to be the Patron for Say Women, a Scottish organisation which offers safe accommodation and support to young women who are survivors of sexual abuse/rape and who are homeless. She is one of 50 Thrivers taking part in research by The Global Resilience Project to develop a resilience blueprint for others. She is a TEDx speaker, a story teller for The Forgiveness Project and has recently become involved with their programme RESTORE, sharing her story in prisons. In June 2020, she was asked to be Patron for Justice Is Now, an organistaion that campaigns to end the use of rape myths and victim blaming in the criminal justice system. In November 2020 she started her own podcast show called “Unbroken The Podcast with Madeleine Black” And in December 2020 she was asked to be an Ambassor for Freedom From Abuse.
Her memoir, Unbroken, was published on April 4th 2017.

Hi, I'm Megan!
I am all of the following (in no particular order)…
👑 A Personal Branding Strategist.
🔵 A Scottish lass living the dream in Oz 🟡
🐶 A dog lover but somehow a slave to a cat 🐱
💡 Overly excitable and love coming up with new ideas‼
📖 Part of a book club, where we actually read the books (and drink wine) 🍷
🙋♀️ A tall girl in a short girls body
🍸 A gin snob
💦 I love to be by the water
📣 Will talk to a brick wall if I think it's listening….
And why does any of that matter? Simple - because whether I like it or not, they are all part of my personal brand and let you make a decision about me.
We have no control over what feelings our personal brand has on individuals personally but we do have control over what information we put out and how we distribute it. So perhaps next time, I'll leave out the gin-loving part.
You are not generic, so why should your online presence be?
I work with you to realise the power of your very own personal brand and support you to build and maintain it to reach your goals and aspirations.
I also do LinkedIn training with executives and their teams as well as 1-1. Linkedin is the perfect place to position yourself as an expert in your industry, sector, niche (whatever you are chasing).
We live in a world where information is at our finger tips 24/7. We don't trust what we can't see and what isn't authentic (sorry, overused but so very relevant). I work to make sure my clients tick all the boxes to win more clients of their own.

Lis helps to unlock potential and transform mental wellbeing through speaking, consultancy, training programmes and through her self-help memoir THIS IS ME. She works with individuals, organisations and schools/youth organisations.
Following experiencing major trauma as a teenager and having no help to process what had happened, for many years life was a struggle. Lis dreaded going to work, relationships were a challenge and she often felt she had no control over what was happening. She felt that she should be happier, more successful and should be able to just get on with things. But she wasn’t and she couldn’t.
Then on a sales training course (of all places!) Lis had a wake-up breakthrough moment that was the start of a complete turnaround. It led her on a quest over the past 30 years to discover more about who she was, the impact of trauma, how to develop positive mental wellbeing and create a life and business which she loves.
Now she is passionate about sharing all she has learned so that others can do this too.

Building Bridges for Peace was founded in 2009 by Jo Berry to promote peace and conflict transformation around the world. Jo now works around the world, recently in India and South Korea plus important work in schools around the UK. She is passionate about young people, empowering them to be positive change makers and develop resilience and emotional intelligence. She believes everyone deserves a voice and creates safe places for people to open up and be heard.
Jo founded the charity after losing her father Sir Anthony in the Brighton bomb in 1984 and since 2000 she has been working with the ex IRA combatant Patrick Magee who planted the bomb. In the last 20 years they have spoken together over 300 times and Jo draws on this experience in all the work she does. She speaks with Patrick a few times a year and there are several events coming up to mark the 20th anniversary of their first meeting. .
The lessons she has been learning are now part of her work in demonstrating the power of empathy, how we can not choose revenge and blame. Above all she is working for a world where no one is demonised, where everyone has their truth and we find ways to resolve conflict so all win.

Alex Owen-Hill helps business owners and tech professionals to develop a confident, engaging, and unique voice for their business, without losing their authenticity.
He grew up as the only introverted engineer in a family of actors and acting teachers. This gave him the rare traits of being a shy, awkward tech-geek with a deep knowledge of the skills needed to flourish into a spectacular communicator. He now helps businesses to uncover a unique voice that truly represents their personality as a company and attracts the people they want to work with. He harnesses a variety of disciplines to empower his clients to find a style that is authentic to them, including voice teaching, content marketing, clowning, persuasion, comedy, and traditional storytelling.
